hows this for an epic telemarketing call. I got a call one day and I told the caller "YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO CALL BACK!" and when he gave me his reassurance that it would not take long at all I said "NO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND! I JUST SHIT MY PANTS!" and when I could tell he was so flabbergasted he couldn't respond Im like "IM TRYING TO GET MYSELF CLEANED UP SO YOU"RE GONNA HAVE TO CALL BACK!" he thanked me for my time, hung up, and never called back
Not everyone is self-conscious, I understand that, but I agree, it's still important to consider others. One of my former housemates would do this and not close the door, and I'd walk un-suspectingly past the open door and get an unpleasant surprise. Multiple times it happened, and each time I was very turned off and insulted. If you live by yourself or nobody else is home I guess that's different, but if you share a house with others it's not just about you. You see, I happen to be on the self-conscious side, but that's not the only reason I close the door, I do it for others, too.
This makes me think of this episode of "Lucky Louie" when Louie gets kicked "where it counts" and his wife calls while he's groveling, he answers, and about 30 to 45 seconds into the conversation she says, "Never mind, Louie, don't answer the phone when you're taking a shit," and hangs up. Classic!
