Here Jim Londos takes on Primo Carnera in one of the most famous matches to take place in the squared circle. Jim Londos was perhaps the greatest professional wrestler of all time. A huge star for decades, the Golden Greek came out of retirement to face former Heavyweight Boxing Champion Primo Carnera. Londos was the greatest draw in the history of wrestling and The Ambling Alp was a huge draw when he first entered the wrestling game. Carnera gained the boxing title with backing of a descent jab and some “connected” managers. Londos could still claim the Wrestling Championship as he had never been defeated since taking the title from Bronko Nagurski in 1938. Both are past there prime but this is still fun to see these legends in the ring together.
