I'm so happy you enjoy my Dad's airplane! We've built them from 80" with a Pegasus 3.20 down to a rubber powered "Peanut Scale". I have a 30 cc DLE on the one dad was building when he passed away. It is 72". Now, I've upgraded several to DM 3.0 using double tapered wings on various sized fuselage from 6 cell electric down to 3 cell 1500 mah. Was great to hear the comments...Dad would be proud! You built a beautiful aurplane!🙂👍🇺🇸
As I have commented to another family member we love flying and building these vintage planes because so much time and passion went into the process and it really shows in the end result. We at mbmrc would like to thank you and your family for sharing with us a wonderful airplane that time hasn’t forgotten. Thanks again Marty
Another great video, I really like how you guys discuss the plane, its history and the build then go fly it. I miss the RCModeler days and you guys scratch building these old planes takes me back. Keep it up!
I love seeing my family's airplane on your page. Currently, in my garage, I have 3 versions of the Dream Machine, including the last one he ever built. Keep up the great work. Maybe #oldschoolmodelworks will kit it??? Again, thanks for all you do.
We love building vintage planes because folks like your family took so much time and pride in what they did and it shows in the end result. We at mbmrc thank you and your family for the wonderful design thanks for your comments it means allot to us
Thanks for posting this video. I got one of these a number of years ago in an estate sale but never knew what the plane really was. Well, now I know. thanks again.
That's another sweet looking plane y'all built! You do a awesome job with building and covering! I used to could do a good job myself until I got older! I sure miss doing it now! I've got a astro hog and a few more things I've almost done but just been procrastinating about finishing them up! I got COVID back before Christmas and haven't even been able to fly since and I was flying on a daily basis! Mine turned to long COVID and having a bad time getting back to doing anything! I really appreciate your videos!
Lovely plane and great build.....landings are always fun....i would do the same approach but when touching down i push forward enough to fly it onto the ground and this stops the bounce..... i get it wrong it looks like your landing so i am not saying i am any different but we all like to comment on landings i guess. I love the fuse...its so cool and retro style...so well done.
Thanks so much for the comment, I actually had a little more nose weight than required so it was tough to land you had to feed quite a bit of up elevator so I put the balance to neutral she lands much better. Thanks again 😊
Great video ! I wish you posted a video everyday haha you guys are awesome and love all your builds as well. Great content as usual keep up the great work !
Over the years I have had four of them always enjoyed them as well. My favorite in that 3D 40 size was the hot dawg designed by Bobby Baker available on outerzone in fact two of ours are in the picture listed with the plan
Actually I had chuck Cunningham miss bikini for about 4 years had a ST .34 in it great flyer very fast and I just sold it about 2 weeks ago at a swap meet.
@Martin Kolm. This Miss Bikini is on my build list. I want to improve my flying skills before I tackle that one. I’m really enjoying this throw n go build series. You guys are very inspiring, and I’m enjoying every bit of it.
The miss bikini is very similar to the dream machine with the only difference being the airfoil is much thinner on the bikini lending itself to being faster if i were to pick between the two it would be a hard choice
