You cans see for yourself the kind of person Jim was just by watching these videos. he had the ability to win over just about anyone. Such a wonderful person. he is equalled by very few. it's been almost 13 years since he past away.. and it's still hard to accept that the man that had such a loving and positive impact on both children and adults, is no longer with us. Rest Peacefully, Jim. you made such an overwhelmingly positive impact on us all.
I love that the news journalist cut loose and really laughed out loud. That's a genuine reaction right there. Jim Varney truly deserved incredible overnight viral fame. Such a genial, talented, down-to-earth individual.

I remember watching Ernest and the other characters played by Jim Varney on tv when I was a kid. I miss these kind of tvprogrammes, where the humour was clean and still very funny 😂 Good wholesome television.
Watched the Ernest movies when i was a kid and some as an adult. Its now time for me to buy some of those movies. Didnt lnow Jim did commercials in the character of Ernest. Nice!
They said he could memorize, word for word, large portions of books and entire poems. He had a photographic memory. People dont really understand the genius with this man. Gone long before his time. He should still be alive today.
It's funny, U.S. In Australia never got those Ernest commercials. Yet most people here know him from the movies. And I'd say the majority of them never knew he was in commercials
This guy is still making people laugh but only on his movies which sucks that he passed away. He died February 10th that is the month of my b-day. That really sucks in the year 2000 to. He has been gone for 12 years now.
