Saw Jimoein at Camden NSW June 2023. OMG!! You are so funny entertaining and good for the soul!! LOVED your show! I have turned to you on many a night, when I needed a really good laugh.. thank you for your sillt excellent sense of humour.. you are so so clever and ever so much appreciated. ❤😂😢😊
Just seen you live in Newport and you were and still are the funniest most underrated comedian thats ever been born on the Island just off Ireland. X I think its probably your name, i took two mates one of them called you jim the other Jermain like a Jackson.
( In Homer voice ) Ha ha ha...It's funny...cause it's true. Yeah it is oddly exacting too but that's the reason for the joke itself. Jimeoin probably asked about 50 people and then wrote a song.
Keith Stritch well that's Ireland for ya... It's very Irish to kick our own up the arse. Most who make it have to leave to make it, Graham Norton will say the same, U2, The Corrs, the list goes on and on.. They are huge everywhere else first because they had to go away to make the big time, couldn't get any t.v. exposure here because RTÉ are a bunch of backwards idiots. The only ones helping musicians is an independent radio station Today FM, they have a week of "home grown heroes", the government run one 2fm only plays it when they've made it.... Go figure.
He was basically shamed out of Ireland. The best comedians come from the British Isles and Ireland, so it’s a tough gig, but he’s made a great living out of Australia.
Jimeoin got up at an Open Mic Night in Sydney. The rest as they say.... (He is popular in N. Ireland) s'funny that you gave australia a CAPITAL "A" and Ireland a LOWER CASE "i"?
@SavageArfad nah we kick our own up the arse. All the famous left here to make it big, didn't get a chance here, Graham Norton, U2, The Corrs.......the list goes on but l won't bore you. The Brits usually adopt them as their own (Norton, Wogan) or they crack America and *then* we cherish them 🙄
Well, you've always got youtube. A large part of his stick is watching his facial impressions in his body language. So sure, his humour's still great but it just wouldn't translate anywhere near as well without the visuals.
I always thought Jimeoin would be one those comedians that was funny once but would have limited shelf life as he'd repeat the same material a lot (see Peter Kay). Seen him 4 times and it's been a completely different gig every time, this song is my favourite clip of him
@@DislocatedCardiganV1 it cannot be semi acoustic as there is no sound hole,it relies entirely on the pick ups, while yes any electric guitar will give you a sound without amplification but it's very soft and it's only the result of the wood amplifying the strings vibration, the soft sound is due to the types of pick up this one has ie: humbuckers give you a soft jazzy sound.
true......what i really meant was "picky" as in hitting the second string on the upstroke when your third finger is on the third fret....hence the addD ..... totally incorrect and just a lazy way of writing....
Need to stop you there my friend. It's my top drawer that's full of shit. Just saying. You're a brilliant comedian With all of love and Gods Blessings. Thomas from Manchester, England
