Jimi was one of the highest paid stars of the time, and he didn't see a dime of it. A lot of it got stolen by his manager Mike Jeffries, who squirreled it away in various offshore accounts. Check out Noel Redding's book "Inside the Experience", he talks a lot about it.

We missed out, he didn't. When you think that a single star can last 10 trillion years, and the universe so many times more, whether we live 30 or 90 years is inconsequential and I personally believe dying is essentially eternal rest. We don't fear falling asleep, so we shouldn't fear it. But yes, people missed out because he could have been influential for another decade, maybe more. Then again Mozart didn't live that much longer, and he's still influential nearly 300 years after his birth so you never know. The only people I read about and really feel sorry about are the ones that had a lifetime struggle from birth to death due to terrible health, abuse and sometimes both. But when someone suddenly pops off? They don't suffer, its his family, friends, loved ones and maybe fans that do.

It just so happens, that there are not very many who are like that anymore. They may try to think, act, and talk like it, but it seems to be falling by the wayside with those many who are not exactly like that anymore. Jimi is a legend. His voice and his look doesn’t match. He’s so hip and cool he looks bored on Cavett’s show. Ha. Like everyone else, I WISH he was ALIVE!! I think he would’ve gotten funkier as the 70s progressed. God only knows where he would’ve gone. It’s ok though cuz what he left was enough for his legacy to be secure.

You can tell what a thinker he is by how he looks down and away so much... such a creative force, even early on... i remember seeing the beautiful drawings he made when he was a child in the rock and roll hall of fame

Dick Cavetts show was different from Carson and the rest. He embraced the then counter culture. The only way to see these acts was at their gigs.No MTV or RU-vid, etc. Seeing people like Hendrix on TV was a true rarity.

Jimi really was saying that dudes love music but often times don’t have inner oneness so when the money comes it fills the empty voids that the music didn’t fill and ultimately takes over a person. Exactly how we see today. Young 18 year olds lose themselves because they don’t know themselves and the money makes the hole deeper

In 2021 guitarists are still trying to play like him , get his tone , copy his riffs etc . Jimi didn't read music , it was all playing through emotion . Eric Clapton , Robin Trower have come very close to capturing Hendrix's magic . I believe the ability of perfect pitch plays an important part in what these guitarists do so well . 🎸☮️✨✨✨✨

Hendrix is being respectful, honest and down to earth. Meanwhile Cavett is making fun of his shirt and lamely talking to him like he’s weird. Its too bad because he missed out on a chance to talk to Jimi Hendrix.

@@bneck3801 Essentially Jimi had a very... philosophical approach to life in general. He didn't identify with labels and almost never lived inside his Ego.. so to him.. Superstars don't exist.. that's why he said "I'm super chicken" because for 1. He's very humble and always shows love and 2. Proving a point that as a society we don't need these kinds of labels.

Maybe I've got this wrong but seems to me he was saying you there are many thing ("hang-ups") that you can use "as steps" to learn/grow from and move forward but if you get caught by them you "go into another scene with them", meaning you get stuck, not learning or moving forward but using them as a crutch. When they other guy says "I don't know but it sounds good" I think he misses that it wasn't a positive thing. I would love to hear what other people thought it meant, that's just what I got.

Barbara Hineline The Image that was perpetrated of Hendrix was of the ultimate Junkie, Nobody that knew him with any real credibility will agree with that nonsense, in fact he was known for being a Fanatical PERFECTIONIST. The cause of his Death is quite questionable as well, Monika Dannemane changed her story of what happened that Day, night, and morning over 17 times and when she was Subpoenaed to court she committed Suicide. The Coroner's report also stated that there were abnormally large amounts of Red wine in Jimi's Lung's, as if he was waterboarded. "Cold Case"??

amistry605 and Kathy Etchingham admitted in a interview( you can"Google" it) that one time when Jimi made her Angry she WAITED until He went to sleep and I quote " I took a heavy Steel Frying pan and Hit him over the Head" unquote. She could have Killed him then, luckily Jimi survived. Then she stated in the Same interview that Jimi Drank Extremely Large amounts of Wine. Freudian Slip?? Even the Jazz Great Miles Davis said when he heard of the Pill Overdose, that " Jimi Knew better than that!! He and Hendrix were close. If it would have happened here in the USA especially Los Angeles it would probably have been treated as a crime scene, the LAPD is VERY investigating and are ALWAYS solving Cold Cases The most recent one( It was on ALL the Local News Stations) was the murder of a young woman 45yrs. ago and guess what? they caught and Arrested the Suspect still alive and kicking a month ago!!! Reopen the case Janice Hendrix!!

Michael Turner, apparently Jimi Hendrix found out that his manager, who was involved with Mafia and CIA, was stealing from Hendrix a large amount of money and Hendrix had a court date coming up to deal with the matter. He apparently had the court date right after his death. To make matters more interesting Jimmy's manager took out an insurance policy on him that stated if Hendrix died, his manager would receive two million dollars. To make things more clear, the Black Panthers were also showing up at Hendrix's shows armed and CIA and other powers that exist sure didn't like a black man like Hendrix, one with money and more power than he realized, not saying, "they're not with me." Just too many crooked people benefiting from his death, honestly.

Dan Juric Now this is the truth, No Lie, I know a Band that made it big back in the Late 70's early 80's and are still doing Oldies but goodies Gig's to this day but have to work on a 9-5 Job. One of the Lead Singers was a GOOD friend of mine and he told me that when the Band was BIG that their Mng. took out a Life Insurance policy on each of them every time they flew. There were 9 members in the BAND. He told me it was a million dollars each, you do the math. This is common practice to this day For ALL popular entertainers although the amount varies. Also the Really Successful one's have multiple Insurance policies, even for Valuable body parts like The hands of LeBron James, Kim Kardashians "ASS", etc. you're smart "FACT CHECK" Google is the NEW Encyclopedia(BETTER) Don't be Ignorant, Google it". Google "Lloyds Of London"" One Celebrity had her "Leg's Insured". As for the Mafia and the CIA that's utter nonsense.
