After Juan Pablo ran into the blower truck and drove with the guy he hit to the medical center not bothering to even ask if he was okay made me not like him at all. When the announcers asked him if the blower truck driver was okay he just looked at him in disbelief that he would even know that, even though they rode in the same ambulance together and got checked out together. When you smash into someone at 80 mph you should at be concerned enough to ask if they are ok

I'm with Jimmie. I think JPM botched the restart on purpose. He had already made it clear previously that he didn't like Jimmie.

Love JPM after the race comments. :) Noting will ever beat what he said about Michael Schumacher in Imola one year....."You've got to be either blind or stupid not to see me but, you know, it is racing". The entire room of press roared with laughter while watching the video replay and Juan said that about Schumi. Ahhh, memories.

Every time someone try to make joke out JPM, it simply bounce back. Lets us listen again at 1:38 "Jimmie Johnson want's to be crystal clear to Nascar, that he's not clear" ERM?? This is another clear example of it. Everyone knows that JJ has the best car in the field, hardly proves his money. Last but no least JPM even said it, listen at 2:41 to 3:00. and with that it can't be more clear JJ was simply out classed by JPM. The truth prevails MONTOYEAH.

1. Tony Stewart is in the back of Montoya until turn 1, 2 Clint Bowyer passes him before start finish line. 3. Clint Bowyer hits breaks almost wrecking Brad Keselowski and Jeff Gordon. 4. Montoya is in 3rd place in turn 2 in a three way battle with Clint Bowyer and Brad Keselowski 5. In car audio and video of Jimmie Johnson's car clearly shows he is off the throttle for at least 3-5 seconds. 6. HD slowmo shots of Montoya's back tires show them spinning faster than front tires.

I seem to remember when he made the Chase. He set a record as the most consecutive top 5's during a Chase. He's running Hendrick engines now like the Golden Boys so you'll see him running up front more often =)

@sesselfurzer2000

Exactly. Between the two lines the leader has control over when to start, after the second line the flagman will restart the race by throwing the green flag. Johnson went at the first line, Montoya went later, so Johnson jumped the restarted.
@dylanramos6425
@dylanramos6425 Год назад
Then a few weeks later, Paul Menard did the same thing Jimmie did and Nascar said it was okay. The most frustrating thing is that Johnson dominated the whole race and Montoya shouldn’t have even been up there. He was like 20th all day, and screwed up the restart…
@PatrickRoy30
@PatrickRoy30 11 лет назад
Ambrose won a race last year. Arguably the best finish of the year. He has run well, and nearly made the chase last year. The other 3 I agree with you 100% on.
@miguelrivera6941
@miguelrivera6941 11 лет назад
As far as I have heard from the Fox guys the leader has to start between the 2 white lines. If I am correct on that, then he did jumped because from the in-car camera you can see him go as soon as they hit the first line. Which is good, if the leader decides to start at the first line. But if the leader wants to start 1 inch from the second white line, the car in 2nd has to wait for the leader to start. To me Jimmie thought the leader was gonna start at the first line. Bad call. Move on.
@webduelist
@webduelist 11 лет назад
my point is that there is more than enough evidence that shows Montoya was having a problem on that restart. Even ff Jimmie did jump the start the official who said "there is no doubt Montoya did not have a problem" needs to be fired.

I was there, and as a Jimmie Johnson fan I was really mad that Jimmie get penalized. But I can see what Juan is saying. I can see the black and white part of it, how Jimmie went past the line ahead of Montoya. But I also see that Montoya didn't get up to speed. I can see where NASCAR went with the ruling, and I'm fine with it, as long as the keep being consistent with these types of rulings.

Does someone want to explain the "loophole" that was found? I'm highly curious. I have to side with Juan Pablo here. What Jimmie's saying and what he actually did aren't really lining up, at least from what I can see. What got me is that he tried "for the entire frontstretch" to give it back.... then that was it? It's confusing.

I dont know so I dont affirm. But I suspect the same from Triple 8 in V8 Supercars. I mean, when they ran with Fords, they won the championship. Leaving Factory Ford team behind. Then they moved to Holden, and won pretty much everything, so many wins, that even Holden fans are annoyed of Whincup winning. Plus a lot of forgiveness to them and tough hand to others. Maybe its the same situation, I dont really know, but when someone dominates so bad and forever, something smells fishy.

That's all well in good as long as you buy that theory! 42 and the rest of the field all keep pace with each other only 48 took off so he was in the wrong and he never went half throttle as he continued to put distance on the rest of the field. Even the crew in the booth said the same thing! Jimmie needs to man up to the fact he screwed up and move on.

Listen, I still hate the call, and I'm a Johnson fan. I agree with you about having Montoya not hit the gas should be penalized. But until NASCAR addresses that "loophole" or whatever you call it, which they haven't touched on the issue of that which is wrong, the calling was right. It says you can't be ahead of the leader when you pass the line. Don't get me wrong, I'm as mad as you about the black flag.

If the Chevys where in Fords loosing situation-My GOD it would be an out-cry. I remember wen NASCAR was fun to watch, Chevy and Fords battling it out. Today its all about Chevy and Toyota, and yes even the V8 super cars are all about Holden/Chevy. I think promoters of the competition are just trying to help out the car companies that whent bankrupt to help them sell more cars. Win on sunday, sell on Monday. Ford should pull out of NASCAR for good cause they will never win another championship.

It's all about MONEY! But what isn't. It took Chevy all the way up to 2010 to pass Ford for the most wins. What I dont understand is that NASCAR let Toyota usr the Ford, Chevy, and Dodge engines to build their own engines, using the other three brands best trates of each engine. Nascar has gotten away from the roots of this type of racing. I can remember when a person who owned a Ford or Cheny car dealership could build a car and go qaulify for a race. You didn't have to be a MILLIONARE!

To all if the people who don't see the loophole; Montoya was way to slow on the restart, and he messed up that restart so bad that he couldn't pass Jimmie when he was going half throttle during the whole entire backstretch. Jimmie was going to win that race, and if you where smart enough to see from Jimmie's perspective, Montoya did the horrible restart so perfectly and he didn't pass Jimmie until he was black flagged, it looks like Montoya planned the whole thing.
