One of the best rock song duets EVER - whoever had the idea to get Jimmy & Michael together was a genius! Thank God for Rock'n Roll, incredible songwriters & musicians who just know what will stand the test of time. RIP Michael, you're sadly missed by so many.
Couldn’t agree more with this comment. I was 17 when this song came out. I hear it and I’m transported back to a much simpler time. Miss Michael - gone from us far, far too soon.

Never heard of Jimmy Barnes until half an hour ago. I've heard 4 songs and I have to give it to him: what an amazing voice and performances. One of the true hard rock voices of the 80's. It's a shame he isn't well known in Europe. Will listen to rest of his stuff for sure.
Love the fact Jimmy and Michael went toe to toe on the vocals without one taking from the other. Feel like this was an extremely friendly duel. And that is another reason we, the listeners, love this song so much, just two amazing vocalists having the best time ever.

One of those songs where a collaboration between two noted musicians succeeds. The group INXS combined with then establishing solo artist Jim "Jimmy" Barnes, to perform this tune, which is just as great to me now a middle aged man, as it was when I first heard it on Radio as a 17 year old male in 1987 here in Melbourne, Australia. And for anyone who's followed the career of both Jim Barnes and Michael Hutchence, Mr Barnes also featured with John Diesel as Backing Singers on "Marvellous", a song from then Australian Satire Comedian Billy Birmingham, aka, The 12th Man, on his 1992 album "Still The 12th Man", whilst Mr Hutchence briefly fronted a band "Max Q" in 1989/90. So it's no surprise these two singers and the other members of INXS would successfully combine to perform this song. And for those who also remember, this song appeared on the Soundtrack to the 1987 movie "The Lost Boys". Just as great a song now as back then.
Brilliant collaboration - 25 years ago today Michael Hutchence died, only three years later would Paula Yates last without him. Very sad loss to music and fans all over the World.
First track of the the Lost boys movie soundtrack, brilliant album. Inxs, kick album is another classic, well worth the listen, if you like this, you'll like kick.
I love his voice.. there are so few male great voices in rock ‘n’ roll. Burton Cummings.. Eric Burton.. .. Joe Cocker.. Tom Jones wasn’t really a hard rocker,but, what a voice.. John Mellencamp… these guys actually have voices. i’m not talking about who has the most hit records or who can scream the loudest.. there are lots of rock and rollers that can carry a tune. But, like playing an instrument, like the guitar, you can learn to do that, you may not have natural talent for playing an instrument, you can get by if you practice. But voice is something you can’t fake, you can’t learn to have a beautiful voice. That’s one thing, you either got it or you don’t.
Came across this a couple of years ago, absolutely love it. Vaguely remember it when i was a kid watching the lost boys. Hutchence has got a decent set of pipes but Jimmy Barnes wipes the floor with him. Always gives me a kick up the arse this tune.

Good on micheal and jimmy singing this wonderful song and I can’t believe that it was 21 years ago that we lost a beautiful soul of Micheal and my girlfriend talks about him all the time both at home and at work. If micheal was still alive she would ask for autograph and cut his hair to keep .
