There's a man with a late-stage cancer diagnosis and a billion dollars bringing joy to people just because he loves it. Thanks for the songs and smiles, Jimmy.
I love that Jimmy Buffett always sounded the same no matter where he played.. he was authentic and didn't use voice over or auto tune. RIP Jimmy... hope you've found that lost shake of salt and thank you for your wonderful music!!
My sister sung this song to my mom when she took her last breath. My mom and her sister and friends are the original parrot heads. My aunt is 75 and based her business off of Jimmy's influence. Palm Tree travel. She is devastated about the news of his passing. But I know hes up in Paradise having a Margarita with salt and cheeseburger.
Thank you Jimmy for coming up with the greatest drinking song of all time. You will be missed! But where ever there is a party and tequila is served, your spirit will live on!
Had to pay my respects to an icon. RIP Jimmy, your gonna be so missed but when ever in Margaritaville youll be right there too👍. Having one right now in your honor my friend🍹🧂🏝️
Man. So good. I very much wish I could've seen him before he passed. But regardless he's amazing and the Aloha shirts make it that much better. Best island theme artist I've ever heard
It's been nearly 3 days since I heard you were gone. I still tear up when I hear your voice, especially watching your live videos. You were not done yet. You had so much more to give, but the man upstairs thought you needed to rest and he knows best. Thank you JB for giving so much of yourself to all of us mere mortals. It just won't be the same without you. I'm forever grateful we still have your music. Rest in paradise dear soul. We will remember you forever.
It was exactly 20 yrs ago I saw him with my Mom in concert at his Cancun location via Skype and Clint Black played live. My Mom passed away 8 yrs ago at 56 yrs old. One of my Moms favorite memories was going on a girls trip with me and her and drinking Margaritas at Margaritaville in Cancun. I came back with a tattoo also. Lol. Every time she heard Jimmy's song comw on the radio she would call me on the phone. Great memories. Rest in Peace Jimmy Buffett. You were loved by many❤.
Jimmy i met you 20 years ago when you surprised us in the original Margaritaville in Key West. We spoke, you were humble and kind. Ever since I consider you a friend. Rest in Peace my friend. We’ll be looking forward when we meet again.
Man I am devasted by this. Jimmy you were so amazing. Your music will make the world happy but we sure will miss you. I just cannot imagine how Jane feels
R I p to Jimmy Buffett. My Mom and Stepfather were in Key West Florida many years ago on their cruises. In fact I had two shirts that said "Margaritaville". But I don't have them anymore. Anyway . Miss you Jimmy.
I've seen Jimmy in concert five times. I met him once in St. Augustine, FL. You can tell he isn't well in this video. Much love Jimmy. Parrothead Nation will live on.
I swear, this concert on Radio Margaritaville got me through the last week. The stories of the songs and Key West are a gem for Parrot Heads. What a gift from our spiritual leader!! Miss him already!! Keep it goin Mac !!
Jimmy Buffett always gave 100% to his audience. He was probably the most giving professional entertainer around. He didn't try to be anything different than his true self. And the love for his audience was obvious in his emotions and expressions. He should have got entertainer of the year many times. In addition to that setting up the successful businesses all over the world. What a man!
The difference between here and his final performance in RI in July is shocking. Who would have known here he was only months from the end 😢? And still doing so well what he did best!
It’s amazing to me that, 6 months before his death, Jimmy is still enthusiastic and getting the crowd involved in this song that he’s played thousands of times! Shows what a consummate entertainer he was! Also, he was worth a lot of money, and he did not need to keep tourung up until almost the very end. It shows his love for what he did, and his understanding of how important his concerts were for so many people. He didn’t need the money, he did it for the love of it. He was amazing. Mac McAnally, on the other hand, looks like he was phoning this performance in, but who knows why? Maybe he was feeling sad because he knew what was going on with Jimmy’s health, who knows. But the contrast between Mac and Jimmy is amazing in this song. Rest in paradise Jimmy!
