The "cutting their throats, pull their tongue out" method called the Colombian Necktie was mentioned by Pinkman in Breaking Bad, I think it was the episode after the one that they first met Tuco, S1E07

@@kai_masters actually, it was mentioned in the 2nd episode season 1 of BB, when Jesse and Walter have just got Krazy 8 into Jesse's basement and are now discussing his "reputation for violence"

My favorite quotes from the following characters (all from this episode). James McGill: "Hey, I just talked you down from a death sentence to six months probation. I'm the best lawyer ever." Ignacio "Nacho" Varga: "Croaking a lawyer for no reason is bad business. He goes away, someone's gonna' come look for him." Tuco Salamanca: "He said he had a broke leg, now he's got one for real!" Also, this is my favorite episode in the entire Better Call Saul series.

Nice! Thanks and yes Abuela is Spanish for Grandmother Abuelita is like saying "dear grandmother" it's a term of endearment. You can definitely tell that Tuco cares about his Grandmother.

This episode redeemed him in my eyes. In BB, I saw him as a psychotic killer, but this episode showed him as a family man and a loving grandson.

As Hector said in a flashback in BB, "La familia es todo" - family is all. All Salamanca family members care of their family and have their twisted ways of showing it

Fun fact: Club soda doesn't help with salsa stains. It does, however, help with blood stains! Abuelita definitely knows what Tuco is up to haha

I don’t think she necessarily knows everything. Just that she had to clean up one of Tuco’s spills before and found what works best. Of course it is a tad unbelievable that she’s completely oblivious but plenty of family keep secrets from each other.

Maintaining these excellent reactions, I see, Andrea! Cast your mind back to when we first met Saul in 'Breaking Bad', Season Two. Walt had called himself 'Mr Mayhew' and he and Jesse kidnapped Saul, took him out into the desert and sat him down in front of an open grave. Saul panicked and blurted out two names, saying something like "It was Ignacio and...(spoiler name redacted)!" Well, you have now met the first of these characters, Ignacio -- Nacho for short (full name, Ignacio Varga) -- a leading member of Tuco's crew. He's the guy we saw again at the end in Jimmy's 'office'. Also in that scene in the desert was No-Doze, the crew member Tuco killed in 'Breaking Bad', and Gonzo, the other crew member who was killed when he tried to move No-Doze's body in that scrapyard, trapped by a falling car.

I’m now far enough along that I know Nacho by name. However, I completely forgot that Tuco killed No Doze…until just now. That was a brutal scene. Tuco terrifies me as he’s capable of extreme violence. The skateboarders were lucky to get away with only broken legs 😬
