See Jimmy Page talking to Planet Rock's Liz Barnes all about the new remastered Led Zeppelin I, II and III albums with previously unheard companion audio discs.
Planet Rock Thanks for the update earlier was great to see it pop up at work. It's been a great LZ and JP week. Your show and interview was certainly the best. Keep Rocking and have a great weekend.
Jimmy's running around in circles the last 20 years: He reissued the Led Z. catalogue in 1990 perhaps, then toured with the Page and Plant project in 1995 playing Zeppelin stuff, then got hold of that rock group with whom he played the old Zeppelin stuff, then the gig at the O2 in 2007 playing the old stuff, now reissuing the reissues from 25 years ago ... I mean Plant produced 5 or 6 new records in this time ... Jimmy's a little stuck in his old stuff, should do something new ...
He's not a lyric writer and he's not a singer. If he doesn't want to put an entirely new band together that's ok, he lived fast and hard for a long time let him be.
And what is the quality and the artistic value of what Plant has produced? Near zero. So what's the use of producing stuff which will never be listened to and keep playing old LZ's hits with Alisson Krauss at their concerts? To fuel his own ego?
