Jonathan Dimbleby and the ‘THIS WEEK’ team have just filmed the first full length television interview with union leader Jimmy Reid. He talks to Dimbleby about the work -in, the men of the Clyde the future of the yards and of shipbuilding. Reid also talks about his upbringing and life growing up amidst the unemployment and poverty of the 1930s, his first job working for a stockbroker and then how he went into the yards, joined the Communist Party and how eventually became the Secretary of the Scottish Branch.
