@@lysergicpillamyd483Actually my favorite Fox Broadcasters were when it was Darrell, Larry and Mike. Andy Petree was showing things on the car. I Loved others from when I first started watching Nascar. It was Gentlemen Ned Jarrett, Ken Squire, Buddy Baker, Benny Parsons, Phil Parsons. They all are and were class acts.. Dave Moody on the radio on MRN. You could be driving your car somewhere and Dave Moody made it so you could picture the race in your mind. Mike Joy has been a "JOY" to hear for the past 30 to 40 years he adapted his style of calling as the world of Nascar exploded and he adapted to the newer fans of the sport. Ned Jarrett he is just a Classy Gentlemen. Getting to call your own sons Daytona 500 win. That was a special call that I will never forget. Then the Mike Joy lines at the end of the 1998 Daytona 500 when Dale Sr won it. You could feel the 20 years of trying to win the Biggest race in Nascar history. You could feel the struggles and frustration of Dale Sr. These announcers put things😮 in my mind I will never forget.

@@waynemetevia7983I grew up watching and hanging out in the pits with Jimmy and his dad Ed race at a track in PA, Port Royal. People who think Tony Stewart was the most outspoken non politically correct nascar driver never met Jimmy 🥴. I saw him get in more fist fights and brawls than any other driver ever. Too bad phone videos weren’t a thing back then 😂. Jimmy punching Kurt Busch no cup? Yeah that’s the real Jimmy race car driver
Agree. Nascar should be way harsher on drivers. You shouldn’t also be able to just spin people out, or even run them out of room into the wall. Bumping, and moving is ok, but once they crash, or u put them into the fence, it’s not.
We have them, TV just doesn’t cover the midpack guys like they used to. Suarez comes to mind, often drives over his head and isn’t afraid of physical confrontation, and has been in Cup past his sell by date. Preece too to a lesser extent. And there’s Austin Hill in Xfinity even though he usually races clean and wins too much to be a Spencer type but he has the attitude and stature
@@josephreilly6328his hometown but he spent a lotta time racin in my hometown county juniata county. Why do yuns guys always gotta make fun of our accents 🙃
This commentary reminds me that I was looking forward to Waltrip calling Cup races for Fox in 01. I liked his IROC commentary...I didn't know he'd become a clown.
If someone is faster than you quit blocking him and let him pass. Mark Martin used to race smart and if someone was faster than him he would pull over and let him pass.
never liked Spencer, he always seemed like he was the center of the universe and could never do wrong. always quick to make assumptions and accusations when he was a reporter on speed as well.
I dont know, kinda agree with Jimmy here... He gave him multiple chances to let him by and Bickel kept chopping down on his nose. Spencer gave him way more respect than Dale would have in that situation lol.
I mean, Bickle cut him off multiple times. What do you expect? Let Jimmy go in that situation. Blocking and chopping is gonna get your ass spun out, every time.
Blocking is one thing but that concrete wall is a killer and with all the centrifugal force at that track it was the worst spot on the racetrack to spin someone I always hated being blocked and got mad as hell but thank God I never hurt anyone
