I have 3 now. Great for people that have arthritis or eczema, which I have. Very smooth #8 heartbeat nib. Love them! Thx for your time and review. That color said it was a clear “wine” color I think that you have…but it didn’t look transparent to me on the video. Beautiful color indeed I was going to try the 9016 with a #6 long blade nib from Kaigula. They are supposed to fit the Jin halo #6 pens. I’m an artist. So, I love those long nibs! Thx! 🥁🙏🏻🖋👍
Mine is definitely not transparent, it is a deep, maroon/wine and just beautiful. Yes the nib is lovely, I love that it has some bounce to it. Now I just need to choose new ink to fill it again. Any suggestions?
This is quite a value for money pen. I have one in every color I've seen sold. It is an injection molded pen for around $10 USD delivered with a 1.8 ml screw in converter which rivals many of my piston filling pens. I prefer the 9019 over the Jinhao x159 which is saying something. But, the 9019 and the later model x159 have swappable nib units which is a nice touch. Thank you for this review!
I have 2 demonstrators, so far only one in use. I like the soft really European medium nib. It puts down a good amount of ink. I have it filled with Pelikan Edelstein Rosequartz. What you have failed to mention is the fact that the really large converter screws in. Nice safety touch. Alas, I made the mistake putting it in my pocket at one moment, playing absently with the clip, only slightly, though. Later on I noticed ink between the inner cap and the cap and some even came out at the attachment of the clip. Some of it has evaporated but there are still 2 places where it is visible. I haven't tried to clean it out by submerging it in water. I am not bothered and with a full colour body one would not notice anyway. I was drawn to it by the size 8 nib and it being a medium nib. The Jinhao X159 which I had bought for that reason only had an F nib then. I have small hands but I like it, although I think larger writing sessions could give me cramps. At the pricepoint a winner.
I have the demonstrator, terrific pen! The only issue with demonstrators is which ink to fill it with? Right now, it is Waterman’s Purple. That may change.
I used to dislike blue inks, but since beginning to use fountain pens, I've really expanded my ink-colour tastes. I think diamine midnight is fabulous, and you cannot go wrong with it in any demonstrator.
you did not mention the "HOLE" at the end of the barrel...making it feels so cheap and ugly...I got the lake blue colour....and there is a hole at the end of the barrel...not sure if it goees through...certainly not a clean smooth finish at the end of the barrel...ugly hole...I am assuminng they all have this hole and nobody thinks to mention it in the review!
