Welcome to Jinjer. Tatiana is one of the best front women in the business and the band shines in their live performances. I recommend reacting to "Perennial" live at Wacken next.
Oh, you’re going to LOVE Jinjer! This song is a bit chill for them overall. “Perennial” live at Wacken 2019 is typically the next step, but you can’t go wrong with any Jinjer track. This only scratches the surface of their talent. Loved the reaction! Subbed! Also, I see that you have the Will Ramos tiled background. If you ever get into Lorna Shore-and you should-you’ll see it in his more recent one-takes.
No band compares or competes with Jinjer. Enjoy the magnificent trip through the wormhole of Jinjer. Vortex, Wallflower, Teacher Teacher, Perennial, Judgement and Punishment one take vocal…
Pronunciations: JIN-jer (just like the spice), PIE-sees. If you're looking for bad-ass, cool metal chicks, you can't do any better than Tatiana! And the whole band is absolutely top-notch. Perennial live at Wacken 2019 is the best 2nd reaction for most people. It will give you a great sense of Tatiana's stage persona & their tightness as a live band.
When you let it slip and said Dios Mio...that sums up everybody's reaction I think. She truly is a goddess and they truly are wizards. The journey is very long, and there is not a single bad song that they have made in the era with Tatiana, Eugene and Roman. Not one.
Welcome to the entrance of the Jinjer rabbit hole. Enjoyed watching with you. For more Jinjer you ought to check out "Perennial live at Wacken", "Retrospection live in Melbourne", "Cloud Factory official live video", "Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev", "Who Is Gonna Be The One live" and Tatiana's one take vocal of "Judgement and Punishment"
“I’m fukin pissed, and I’m kinda chillin, I’m fukin tight, and I’m kinda chillin, like what the fuk, and I’m kinda chillin” love the discrimination!🫶🏻🙂
Welcome to Jinjer. You have amazing journey ahead of you. And don’t sell yourself short - you can clearly sing. You hit those few notes perfectly in key. Subbed.
Women have been in the metal scene since around 1992. All female death metal band Mythic formed back in 1992 but sadly disbanded a couple years later. There's bassist Jo Bench of death metal band Bolt Thrower. Also Jeanne Sagan, ex-bassist to All That Remains. There's Brazilian thrash band NERVOSA. .. all female. There's also CRYPTA, full female death metal band also from brazil (the bassist/vocalist and drummer formerly played for NERVOSA.) Infected Rain, Unleash the Archers, Arch Enemy are also bands with females in them.
Jinjer is great and Tatiana is the best.A couple other female led bands are Otep and In This Moment.See Jinjer on stage doing Who is gonna be the one live Napalm records. For Otep I recommend Ghost Flower OMV and In this Moment recommend Sick like me OMV or Big Bad Wolf.Enjoy 🤘🏼
@@RacelyReacts Sure, however Arch Enemy's shows with Angela Gossow might probably be the most impressive performance I've experienced...songs like "Nemesis - Live in Tokyo 2008" from tyrant from the rising sun are the step further in what nobody else can do.
Damn, can't believe I left out NEMOPHILA out of my list of female bands....they rock out too. Oh, also Villareal sisters Dany, Pau & Ale of The Warning are dope too. Lots of original music.... oh, and Halestorm, led by Lzzy Hale and her brother.
A few of my favorite female vocalists (not necessarily metal vocalists): Lacey Sturm [Flyleaf], Shirley Manson [Garbage], Cristina Scabbia [Lucuna Coil], Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey [Butcher Babies], Angela Gossow [Arch Enemy]
The bands name is pronounced, Ginger = Jinjer, the track is pronounced 'Pie-cees' the Zodiac sign. The band are from the Ukraine, they are: Tatiana on vocals, Eugene is the bassist, Roman is on guitar, and Vlad is the drummer. Other tracks to check out by them are; 'Perennial' live at Wacken open air festival 2019, 'Judgement (and Punishment)' Tatiana's one-take vocal version, 'Vortex' the official music video, 'On The Top' and 'Pit of Consciousness' both live in Kiev, 'Home Back' the official music video.
We see first time we see Pisces we see jinjer and we smile 😈😈😈😈😈 We hit like button and hit play immediately. enjoy. We've all been there that first time we heard this song.
Okay you asked!! These are all, all female bands. They write and perform their songs: Band Maid - "Freedom" and "Puzzle" both live Lovebites - "Set the World on Fire" and "Thunder Vengeance" Nemophila - "Dissension" and "Monsters" Hanabie - "We Love Sweets" Oh, these are also Japanese, where the best Rock/Metal music is now being created!!!
(Some) Female metal vocalist sensations: Demons - Tatiana Shmayluk - Jinjer (as you've discovered) Alissa White-Gluz - Arch Enemy and various collaborations - try "Sunset over the Empire" for her brutal best or "Handshake with Hell" for her versatility Angela Gossow - Arch Enemy - "Nemesis (live, Japan)" is the go to Melissa Bonny - Ad Infinitum / Dark Side of the Moon - check out Dark Side of the Moon's version of "Jenny of Oldstones" Britta Gortz - Hiraes - check out "Under Fire" Sirens - Floor Jansen - Nightwish - (I see you've met already) Simone Simons - Epica - check out "Consign to Oblivion (live Paris)" or Skeleton Key (either the official or the livestream one) Zora Cock - Blackbriar - check out "Arms of the Ocean" or "Fairy of the Bog" Shanon Den Adel - Within Temptation - check out "Faster" Elize Ryd - Amaranthe - check out "Digital World" or "Do or Die" with Angela Gossow guesting
You said "it's chill" at the beginning, and I'm grinning like an idiot. Good job with your reaction. And yes, Twilight is urk. My sons threatened my life when I said I wanted to read the first book to see what the hype was about.
Front women bands: Harsh vocals - Jinger, Infected rain, Butcher Babies, In This Moment, Arch Enemy. Power vocals - Halestorm, Pretty Reckless, Amaranthe Each band is awesome in their own ways. I have enjoyed songs from each. Very much worth going down the rabbit hole on these.
Perfect t-shirt heh. To see how fast she can switch back and forth check out an old song of theirs called Destroy at Beastarium (live recording session video). Perennial live at Wacken is the more common next step though. Teacher Teacher official, Judgement & Punishment one take, and for a focus on mostly growls Who Is Gonna Be The One live are some others to get you started. They have a couple of dozen must-hear songs though ;) I'd love to see you check out Marching On Versailles by Ad Infinitum too - you'll see why if you do. ;) Subbed. Cheers!
@@RacelyReacts Melissa Bonny isn't as experienced as Tatiana but she has a great voice already. She has done a bunch of stuff working with other bands and side projects, like Ding covered by Feuerschwanz, Dark Side Of The Moon covering Jenny of Oldstones from GoT, and another band she was with called Rage Of Light with standout songs being Mechanicals (that one sounds a bit confusing to folks new to her work because they layer some of her vocals with vocals by the guy who founded the band whose vocals sound really similar) and covering Twilight Of The Thunder God (originally a well-known song by Amon Amarth). I'd also recommend the Ad Infinitum song I Am The Storm, though Marching On Versailles is great too (about the women's march on Versailles during the French Revolution, incidentally, but more broadly applicable than just that singular event)
You spoke of the guitarists' effortless playing, you should check out "Awakening" by Unleash the Archers. Same type of love studio session, with amazing work from the band.
There are two other bands with female growlers. Infected Rain and Arch Enemy. The big 4 are: Jinjer Infected Rain Arch Enemy Spiritbox Check out "Mold" by Infected Rain and "The Eagle Flies Alone" by Arch Enemy.
Japan has some really solid all female metal bands. Hanabie!, Nemophila, and Lovebites are all good places to start. That being said, there is only one Jinjer.
Great video. I love how every reaction misses her speaking directly to you. Second verse after the Chorus "No promises I ever give. Don't rely on me and I wont deceive." Its part of the story, but also referencing the switch up she just pulled on us. "You thought you knew what to expect from me, but you didn't and now you have no idea what to expect"
A band that often plays shows with Jinjer in the US and has two female metal singers is Blackwater Drowning. They have a new video for a song called Snake Juice that I really like
my favorite Jinjer song is I speak astronomy although Vortex and the others below will blow your mind especially if you review live performances first before the video. Great review
I mean the purpose of this video was to promote the new way they had started to play the song live, possibly showcasing the drummer. This since the album version is much more boring and they were proud of what they had achieved. So they recorded and did studio things (reverb / doubling on some pieces of the audio) because they didn’t think they needed to preserve the chain of custody. So yea, EQd, doubled - but beyond normal sound production, not any trickery. There are live clips from festivals where you can get unproduced audio. Now it’s used forensically by people to see if Tati is singing.
You should also check out "Circle With Me" by SPIRITBOX... similar vibe. Both ladies have a different style... both can really sing... both can really scream.
Jinjer are fucking amazing! Plenty of songs to react to from them that people already recommended. If you want another really good female metal vocalist try listening to The Agonist - Blood As My Guide they're brilliant too! Different style to Jinjer but very very good!
Can't go wrong with Jinjer!! If you are looking for female leads look up a band called Straight Line Stitch and their song "Conversion" You can watch the video.. Really talented group and their female Lead is badass.
No idea how she does that without shredding her vocal chords, but apparently she’s fine-goes straight back to her normal singing voice, no sign of stress. Anyway, great reaction!
Check out anything by Kittie (Canada), or if you want something heavier Astarte (Greece). Both all female bands, both have their own sound. Kittie is late 90s radio metal (clean and growl), Astarte is very aggressive (almost all growled), borderline death metal.
Continue on the Jinjer train and their singer Tatiana. Add 2 more of the strongest female singers in metal. BAND-MAID / DOMINATION (Official Live Video) NIGHTWISH - Ghost Love Score (OFFICIAL LIVE) Listen to these and you have the 3 strongest female singers in metal! Jinjer=Tatiana BAND-MAID=Saiki NIGHTWISH=Floor =floorgasm.........
Made a small list here so it's easy for you (copy and past) JINJER - Who Is Gonna Be The One (Live) | Napalm Records JINJER - Judgment (& Punishment) - Tatiana Shmayluk - One Take Vocal Performance JINJER - Pit of Consciousness (Live in Kyiv) | Napalm Records JINJER - Perennial (Live at Wacken Open Air 2019) | Napalm Records JINJER - On The Top (Live in Kyiv) | Napalm Records There are tons more songs but that's a good start.
So, as a fervent lover of Jinjer, I want to take you back a step. Iwrestledabearonce. You ain't no family. You like Spiritbox. You like Jinjer. Listen to their roots. Tatiana is the closest to carrying on what what was there. Courtney, even though she became their lead singer, was never in that frame. Spiritbox needed to become what it did, and it's amazing for that, but Tatiana carries a different flame. Opeth and beyond. It's like listening to Van Halen, and Van Hagar.
If you like metal, check out Jonathan Young. I know he’s not a woman, but he does collaborate with women, so you’ll find some women to check out on his play list. He’s a beast as a metal vocalist.
Great reaction. Jinjer is great. I’d like to suggest another band with a great female lead, Spiritbox. I think you will dig them. Start with Holy Roller and then Rule of Nines. Then you can pick from there. All their songs are great.
If you want to listen to a bit more metal with female singers, northern Europe is the right place with several good bands. Arch Enemy, they have had two female singers the first started over 20 years ago and had a hard voice (an example is Nemmesis in 2005) but many other songs with and from 2014 they have a new singer who was recommended by the previous one as a successor and two good songs from the last record are "eagle flies alone" and "the world is yours" and they recently released a new record with some of the songs here now. Amaranthe is another Swedish group that is a bit more pop and takes things with more humor than other bands (many like different songs there but search for the band and go to most played and it will be fine) Nightwish. the best band in my opinion with a very good singer who now lives in Sweden but the band is Finnish and she comes from the Netherlands and she knows most things in singing. There are many songs to listen to and the band was founded in the 90s and she was part of the band in 2013 and the band was one of the founders of the concept of symphonic metal. Epica (from the Netherlands) a fourth band with the singer read music together with Floor in previously mentioned bands in the 90s and it is that all those singers are friends privately and as a comment, Floor's husband is in another Swedish metal band called "Sabaton" that makes songs about historical events/people that are worth listening to but it's a male band and as for jinjer, I recommend you to listen to "Home Back" which you have probably seen, they are from Ukraine and had to flee their home in 2014 when the war started in those parts of the country and now it escalated half a year ago.
Said like (Pie- Seas)... Yeah "Pisces".. The two kind of opposing fish.. two opposing types of singing.. And she has a littlie fish in each of her ear spacers?? One on each side/ear = 2 ? Go figure?? Oh my; what can it mean? Do you suppose this could be a coincidence?
Never gonna get mad at pronunciation. Jinjer is Ukranian, if you watch an Interview with any of them , even Tatiana the lead singer, they have accents and speak multiple languages. She has an accent and when she sings, you can't even tell. Don't get self Concious, but do react to Teacher Teacher soon by Jinjer.
Great reaction! You want talented ladies who will rock your socks off? The Warning are three sisters out of Monterey Mexico who kill it! Check out their Evolve official video.
