She sings in Russian. Although Tatiana is a Russian-speaking Ukrainian, her native language is Ukrainian, not Russian (as is the case for a large number of Russian-speaking Ukrainians, including myself). A confusing story for foreigners.

@@zelenawilga How can it be her native language if she clearly doesn't speak it fluently? I've never heard her speak Ukrainian, even in the Ukrainian interviews and TV shows. I was born in one of the former Soviet Republics too but I don't speak the language because I was raised in the Russian speaking part of the country.

@@kerikasuro 1. You do not know what language she prefers in everyday life. 2. Such a terrible situation with the Ukrainian language in the East of Ukraine is associated with the policy of russification, when children began to learn their native language only in the 6th grade of school (and it was 3 small lessons a week, even English in schools began to be taught earlier and there were more lessons), most of the media and TV were in Russian, and at the everyday level, the Ukrainian language was ridiculed as the language of uneducated people. This is why many are unable to speak their own language. But at the same time, Ukrainians still consider only Ukrainian as their native language. (translated by google)

@@zelenawilga 1. I don't know for sure, of course, but there is plenty of evidence that it is probably true. Again, she never spoke Ukrainian in the VLOGs, Ukrainian interviews, and TV shows. 2. "...children began to learn their native language only in the 6th grade..." doesn't make any sense. If you have to learn it in the 6th grade it's not your native language! Don't mix up the terminology here. Look up what "native language" actually means. I was in the East Ukraine in the 2000s, many people there didn't speak Ukrainian even fluently.

Thank you Matthew. Such a great song. Fun reaction. You guys are hilarious. For Tati, Eugene, and Roman, their families are on the other side of the battle lines in the war in eastern Ukraine. The original song is dedicated to their parents, the video is expanded to encompass the found family of the band and crew, as well as their fans which is pretty cool. One line that might be confusing is a reference to a previous song that caused some fans concern called Dreadful Moments, which Eugene wrote about a childhood friend who was abused but some of us worried it was about Tati, at least at first. The line "childhood of misery, is lifelong injury" is from that song, but she says "no that's not for me, what I've always had, is father's love and mother's hand."

And anyways, I know I respect Jeffrey without knowing him for what he says openly about his political changes of opinion. Because YT is not the safest place to say why you think you've been fooled by the right-wing (or alt-right, or name it as you want) and to say that so many people are still fooled. So respect for this, Jeff ;). And then, about the fanboy... isn't that cool to find music you love and you want to share with other people ? That said, I'll now try again to convince people to listen (and react) to Oathbreaker :p Keep blastin', everyone !

I was on the fence about subbing. Went to Sonny van's channel saw the video of your band was pleasantly surprised you guys are doing good things I'm a 53 year old black male metal head so when I see a brother in the band I'm in I live in Alaska now and the music here is lacking since 36 crazy fist jinjer got me back playing my bass and guitar . You guys are fun to watch subbed you and Sonny peace .

Oh how I absolutely love this song!! One of the best from last album and so underated. Cool you reacted to it! And I agree with what you said, she´s one of the few growlers that have such perfect diction and technique that you understand almost everything. Talent! Try the one that was following: "Pit Of Consciousness" original or live in Kiev, you can´t go wrong.
