I didn’t see anyone else mention this: In GX, there’s a “Jinzo Style” of Dueling that’s the rival to the “Cyber Style,” and that’s where some of these cards first appeared.
Jinzo - Lord is supposed to work with Psychic Megacyber PMC puts Monsters in the Backrow as Traps, JL pops them for Burn, couple that with Coffin Seller and Dark Room of Nightmare for big Burn... big Bada burn!
@@Tokumastu1 Yeah. Most of the time what blue eyes need would be a higher ammount of low level monsters that allows them to summon their beatsticks easier. They have the maiden alright as well as the tuners but they require better swarming tools...assuming of course their swarming tools don't get quickly banned. But again balance has never been the forte of these kind of games.
The way that Mako got an insane wave of support that took the shitty Kairyu Shin monsters to a rogue deck while Jinzo still dwells in this state is beyond me.
For me, the worst part of the new support is the fact that the bonus effect only works with the O.G Jinzo, which won't be that big of a problem if the rest of the Jinzo monsters treated themselves as such, which is kinda insulting, specially considering we have archetypes like Cyber Dragon.
Konami *does NOT replace* with retrains, so of course the Jinzo support would support "Jinzo." Note: Cyber Dragon was a Fusion archetype that needed the multiple materials.
@@Bezaliel13 technically they do. We have a bunch of Dark Magician and Blue Eyes support that treat themselves as such in the graveyard and field, making the other Jinzo cards to the same wouldn't had been that broken. Not to mention Jinzo Jector is treated a Jinzo in graveyand and Field and came way ago.
@@Slayerthecrow Like Alternative, which needs the OG to be summoned? Not to mention what I said about Fusion archetypes. Note: The wiki is not that specific with the categories.
@@Slayerthecrow Like Alternative, which needs the OG btw? Not to mention what I had said about Fusionn archetypes. Not like there is a three Jinzo Fusion.
Huh, that would make sense, but then what about the others? Red-Eyes Insect Queen? Red-Eyes Legendary Fisherman? Unrelated card, but Red-Eyes Panther Warrior could be cool.
@@xCorvus7x Yes, and that was probably the basis for Red-Eyes Jinzo. Of course, one was a retrain of a Red-Eyes Fusion material while the other was a distinctly Joey card.
When I took the spells outta my Scrap Orcust deck, I filled it with Jinzo stuff. A little bricky, but hilarious when it worked. Jinzo plus Appolousa/I.P is a win con.
I ran Jinzo-Layered in Earth Machine because I had a flex spot in the ED and you can sometimes make a rank 6 machine with Anchor Drill so I figured why not? Didn't come up much but he looked cool! Great video!
16:50, Amplifier is funny for another reason, its involved in an infinte loop where you can get the jinzo equiped with it ot endless switch controller.
Yes! I've been waiting for this Archetype breakdown and.....I'm actually a little disappointed in how lackluster it seems to be. From what Nova has pointed out only like a third or 2/3 of the archetype seems to be usable. Also I feel that Jinzo should be an easy monster to make so many more beneficial support cards instead of a few spells and a single trap.
@@RedEyesJacollo I actually tried in duel links. The only time they set the trap is when you already have the three monster spots filled up, in which you cannot actually special summon another monster. Of course, it can still do it if you have Jinzo on the field so there's that moment of artificial stupidity.
It does miss timing, so you have to be careful with it! Thankfully, the grave effect of Psychic wave is an 'and if you do', so it all happens at the same time, so it's all good.
Jinzo archetype should have a much more general "effect negater". Granted, not something like Destiny HERO Plasma or Spell Canceler floodgates since traps are already their speciality but it'll be nice if they could add something more, like spell bouncing or monster effect disabling once per turn. Probably with extra steps, conditions and probably costs for balance but i'd like to see that.
I think law of the cosmos is the most broken card jinzo has. It either gives you a free jinzo or a free search for a jinzo. Also card that negate summons can't respond to the jinzo summon it the set a trap, be ause that would have to be used when they activate the spell card and not when jinzo gets summoned. Because it's summoned by the effect of the card and you can't negate the resolution unless you have a card the specifically says negate the resolution.
No joke when I was younger, when I first saw Jinzo I would’ve thought he was a Spellcaster (or Psychic but I didn’t know it was a type til later on as I took a LONG break) as I wasn’t aware it was an android. But not complaining by any means!
I always hate how the localized name decided to do something senseless, as the original name Jinzo Ningen Psycho Shocker (Modified Human/Cyborg Psycho Shocker) they chose Jinzo alone. For people who understand Japanese this is super silly, like, Jinzo? Jinzo Nani? They should've use its actual name that is Psycho Shocker instead of just use the part of Japanese in the name randomly and make no sense.
As a kid I didn’t really understand most cards so I decided to use the card art work and the anime to understand effects. My friend had a jinzo on the field and I told him the effect was “you can look at my hand whenever you want” 😂😂
Solemn (I presume you mean either Judgement or Strike) negates the summon of Jinzo, so Jinzo technically wasn't on the field to begin applying its effect.
I mean, before the witch, Jinzo was the original yugioh equivalent of Darth Vader: balded scarred masked cyborg guys with dark powers and psychic abilities.
