It’s the way they’re designed. The big round eyes on Haida naturally make him appear younger when his younger brother has narrow, horizontal eyes. Testosterone is also known to make men’s eyes narrower the more they have, so based on surface level details, Haida has a significantly less amount of testosterone than his brother, but who knows if the writers intended for this to be a part of Haida’s character…
