CP3 at the end of the bench as a mentor to the younger guards is fine. I'm guessing he wants a bigger role as far as PT goes though. If he does come to the Lakers, it will also be required for the Lakers to hire Rondo, just for the entertainment value. My dream for the press conference would be for the Lakers announce the hiring of Bob Myers as head of basketball operations with Pelinka reassigned to a desk job. One can dream!
SHOW TOPIC: Rui and Austin are guys JJ has said he LIKES... But Those two are likely trade chips IF we want to make a big splash. Y'all should talk about this @KAM BROS How does JJ work in Bronny with Max AND STILL get some vets to help WHILST (yes whilst) keeping Austin AND Rui.
I think the Lakers should trade back in the draft from #17. They can trade with the Knicks who have 24 & 25 or trade with the Bucks who have 23 & 33. And with either trade, id try and get D.Holmes and R.Dunn. 2 great role players who can produce for the lakers and will for sure get playing time
Chris Paul for those asking would be beneficial in teaching the guards how to play the point like a floor general and not like a 2 guard masquerading as a point. Teaching them how to run offense and feed star players like AD late in the game in his spots same with LBJ, etc. he should not play heavy minutes or be counted on as a top star or reserve at this stage. He can take the Dudley role if he accepts that and only that. A coach among the players helping with their development. That’s why you sign a Chris Paul at this stage. You should have other guys in front of him that play better defense at this stage and are younger. Just my thoughts.
Is it just me, or should the Lakers go after Vogel? Make amends... Vogel is a champion coach who can make the proper adjustments game to game, and coaches bigs very well...
Are y'all on drugs 😂 The man has been playing basketball his whole life. You don't think he knows what a coach does smh What I want to know is can he transfer his vision to the court? When the players are out there, it's the coaches vision we are looking at. That is why Ham hurt us, so he didn't have a real vision. He was playing mismatch. Because when you have a winning philosophy as a foundation, all the other stuff is just noise. I think as a coach he'll be fine. Can his vision be successful is what we are waiting to see. But the front office needs to be held more accountable from here on out. Palinka is no rookie GM no more so all the mistakes needs accountability from here on out. In my opinion
There are a lot of things people do for a long time, but when they move to a different space, even inside the same industry, there are just things you don't know because you don't have the experience. You may understand conceptually what's happening, but don't have the full context to see the whole field, so to speak. Playing for 15 years and working as a broadcaster is obviously valuable. The point isn't that he doesn't know basketball, or doesn't have an idea of what the job of coach should be. But observing coaches, working with them, talking to them, etc. is not the same as being one. So having people there that can open avenues he might not think about, because they have experience and context he doesn't, is valuable. Thanks for watching! BK
I don’t care what coach the Lakers hire, it’s not going to work. The front office is the problem. The Lakers also have bad luck. Most of the players they get never play good. The tax player exception players they get always gets hurt. I feel bad for JJ, because the fans will eventually destroy him for being a bad coach.
@@KingwavyyTvdo you realize we have a 39-40 year player in Lebron that decided to play in the Olympics. We have a player in AD that’s not aggressive and is not a great offensive player. The perimeter defense is terrible. When key players get hurt, they seem to be out a minimum of 1 month. Let’s be realistic, the Lakers are just not a good team. I feel sorry for JJ because he’s in a lose lose situation. I’m a Lakers fan that’s realistic. The best thing to do is rebuild. Lebron is about to be 40 and he’s their 1st or 2nd best player. Let that sink in.
Brian and Andy this is b******* so let me get this right the Cleveland Cavaliers just hired Kenny Atkinson of the Golden State Warriors who has experience and is a champion meanwhile the Los Angeles Lakers higher JJ Redick who has no f****** experience whatsoever this is why I can't stand the Lakers I'm done with the Lakers it's all about LeBron James you guys to do your job until you're blue in the face but the Lakers are not winning the championship until LeBron James retires. Another situation Sam Cassell has coaching experience is the NBA champion the Lakers didn't give Sam Cassell a second interview. Rob and Jeanie don't know what they're doing and eventually the fans are going to get tired of the Lakers circus with the hiring of coaches and the trades.
