Hi Chris! No need to worry! We only advice to double up to create that extra protection. Your glass should be totally fine with just the Van primed.

@justkampers Thanks for your advice. I've had it reset now as it leaked . I have arthritis in my hands so couldn't do the sealant well enough sadly

Hi, generally yes you are right a grinder can cause more damage if not correctly masked up. But we had masked up correctly to protect the paint and other components. This video was a demo of what can be done with tools from home. But yes we would recommend using a jigsaw. Thanks for your interest.
