This video helped me pull the trigger on the jl stealth box. Just got done getting it installed. Love it. Jl audio steal box with 2 10 TW3, jl rd900 5 channel amp, jl c1 in the doors. The location of these subs is dead un accessible space so you don't lose any storage space besides the factory tire wrench.
I’m running one 10tw3 with rd900/5 is it enough amp for the two subs or should I buy another rd500 when I add another 10 tw3 I’m using other 4 ch for doors thanks
@@peteracero9408 For me it's enough for both subs. I normally only have the volume 40-60% max and the gain knob 50-80%. If I max the gain and turn the volume close to max the subs will distort on some songs, which I think shows the amp is enough for them.
Sounds great! A few questions…. I can’t tell, do you have a D/C or extended cab tundra? What amp? Did you build your own box? I’m trying to figure out what to get… I know they’ll be JL’s for sure
Daaaaaamn I got 2 of these bad boys as well just waiting for my custom enclosure to come in.. Throwing them under my backseat as well 18 silverado!! I cannot wait
I have a similar head unit, Pioneer SPH-EVO950DAB. Did adding an amp improve the performance of the door speakers? Or is the 4 x 60 watts from the head unit sufficient? I have JL Audio C3-650 in the front doors and C2-650 in the rear doors Thanks, your opinion will be very valuable
@@mildaudiophile3879 I have a pioneer after market head unit too, which is 50 watts x 4. The head unit gets plenty load for me, before it starts to distort. I will search for a local dealer, see what they can offer
BRO, I just ordered 2 10TW3s in a stealthbox too, I was also wanting to go with 2 13.5TW5s but the audio dude told me these TW3s outperform the 13.5TW5s especially for half the cost
I also thought about the 13.5 but way overpriced. But a great sub. It’s going to come down to box. This one is sealed but I’m sure ported would be louder but I liked seal enclosures
@@mildaudiophile3879 will do. If you don't mind, what level is your bass set to? All the way up or at half? Are they set different at different volumes? Trying to see if I'm Happy with my setup
@@suaverp2170 different factors but I got a aftermarket radio and a bass knob. I adjust accordingly but I usually leave it at 3/4 but it depends on what it set at the headunit or radio
since those are 4 ohm speakers and dvc Is that amp putting out the 2ohm power (800 rms) or is it 4 ohm power (500rms). The reason i ask is because i have a jl hd 900/5 and i was wondering if The 500 watts i have will be enough for 2 of those subs or should i just stick with one.
I havent dealt w/the TW1’s, and i prob wont ever, if stuff like TW3’s are around. If u havent yet, go w/those. Look at the xmax distance it travels. It’s 15mm, which is actually the same exact length that the 12TW3’s have, which are definitely more than what the TW1’s travel, at10 mm, aka 50% more! So have you set up your system yet? If so, do tell…
Hey man, sounds good on my earbuds for my phone. Im wondering - what year is your truck? I dont think there is anything out there for a Stealthbox-type of enclosure for an ‘03 tundraś, other than what ive seen for two 8”’s below the seat. That and the center console one, which doesnt apply to my truck. Anybody else know of any kind similar? I also just bought (i hope it turns out that way) a single 10TW3-D4, and still have my 12TW3-D4 in a truck wedge box. Seeing how they both have the same wattage input, would it be ok to hook them up to the same amp? I fail to see why not.
JL C2 component. Great speakers for the price. Crisp and they have good midbass. They sound even better with an amp. The Rd400/4 is a perfect match. If you can afford it the XD amps
Pioneer wt7600. Sure you can it has a browser option when you link your phone to it as a hotspot you can also mirror your phone with the HDMI but watching movies in the vehicle sounds like crap so I don’t even use that feature because I’m driving
Sealed box I’m sure in a ported box they would be louder but I don’t like ported. These are shallow subs you can’t expect them to hit like a regular sized sub.
