I actually just paused this podcast and went and watched Jo's Netflix special, he absolutely killed. It was hilarious from start to finish. Rick, you're killing it with this podcast too. If you keep doing this, you're going to be huge.

For whatever its worth...please do not stop making these podcasts. Ive listened to all of them a number of times and this by far was the most genuine, heartfelt opening yet. I can only imagine what it takes to put these out and all I can is Thank You.....Thank You Mr. Glassman. The editing and "Lets cut to a clip.." is one of funniest parts especially in this episode..."hunky boners?" You have provided me with endless laughter and enjoyment and I sincerely thank you.

5 minutes in and have to stop. Take Your Shoes Off is the first podcast since Norm Macdonald Live that I will watch with my full attention and not while I'm working or doing something else. As excited as I am for a new episode I'm going to do some pleasure delaying and wait until I can give it my full attention to fully enjoy it tonight. Awesome guest, the fact that you can get these huge people on such a new unknown podcast is a great sign.

Love ya dude keep it going you can see the progress you've been making already over this little amount of time! PS. Dude.. I watch a lot of podcasts and I found you by way of your episode with Bobby Lee. You are so quirky and unique and your editing is so crazy good. The pictures you do in post is brilliant. It's an interesting discussion regarding Rick's fears about not being good enough for certain 'comedy venues' and his place in the current comedy paradigm. Unjustified fears imho, because the fact that Jo Koy is sitting in his living room; following a couple other comedy-heavyweights, together with the achieved depth in questions without making the interviews dry, combined with Ricks ability to still find room to play with the guests, is a testimony to his skill in comedy! A breakthrough is only a matter of time and I'm pretty sure it won't take long :-)

i like how jokoy was getting lowkey mad at you close to the end, he keeps telling you that you can be the best person you can be but you didn't get it so you kept setting limits on yourself and jo just laughed like "bro, fuckin stop it"
