A LONG time ago, I had this on cassette. I don't have it anymore. But I Still have my sweetheart from High School. 4 kids. 7 Grandchildren and 35 years. Great song. Thanks Joan.
This is one of those great love songs where it feels like standing on a mountain top proclaiming your love for someone. Whenever I want to hear this song I will almost always play Joan Jett's version instead of the original by Gary Glitter-For obvious reasons.
So now I have found a way of listening to Gary Glitter songs, without feeling a bit guilty about it.... listening to Joan's covers instead! This is better than Gary's version. I wish she had covered all his songs.
Oh my lord... I dont know how to describe bout my feeling when listen to this song..feel like i falling to you joan..your winks eyes make me melting 🤤🤤🤤🤤
We still together after all that we've been through They tried to tell you I was not the boy for you They didn't like my hair, the clothes I love to wear They didn't realize that I was strong enough for two I love you, love You love me too, love I love you, love me, love I love you, love My only true love I love you, love me, love The things they said about the two of us were lies I knew they couldn't see the love light in your eyes They said I wouldn't dare to show how much I care They didn't know that we were just two angels in disguise I love you, love You love me too, love I love you, love me, love I love you, love My only true love I love you, love me, love So here we are alone, we made it on our own And though they tried they can't deny the way I really showed 'em I love you, love You love me too, love I love you, love me, love I love you, love My only true love I love you, love me, love I love you, love You love me too, love I love you, love me, love I love you, love My only true love I love you, love me, love
when i was about 14 i was a huge Joan Jett fan and my #1 idol has always been the late great Buddy Holly.......for a couple years i collected every recording song and album i could get on Joan Jett and the Runaways........but then i found out she was/is a ''carpet muncher'' and i'm no longer a fan anymore but my idol still is and always will be the late great Buddy Holly..........

I like Gary Glitter's version better, but I LOVE that Joan is not taking herself seriously and is unafraid to be downright silly! It reminds me of the seldom-seen video to Styx's "Music Time" -- pure goofiness. So thoroughly goofy that guitarist Tommy Shaw decided he was too cool to participate (whatta fuckin' douche). Strongly recommended viewing. Thanks ever so much for posting this. I threw away Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth after it came out, and quit buying Joan Jett's albums. I had decided I was "too cool" for stuff like this myself (whatta fuckin' douche).
This video was actually Kenny Laguna's idea (her manager/friend). Joan herself has said she hates this video, unfortunately. But, I agree with Kenny- it's a good one.
@@Cupcake91119 because his crimes have absolutely nothing to do with his music. It's possible to love an artist's work while utterly loathing them as a person. Then again, I don't expect someone with that atrocious grammar to be able to grasp the concept of seperating the art from the artist.
@@OniLordMiki if you can separate the art from the artist then power to you. some of us struggle with that and are therefore thankful for covers like this
