I remember this episode so well. I was a senior in high school. In my social studies class, everyone got an issue of Newsweek magazine every week. There was this tiny blurb about this episode, and there was a mention of "sleep your way to the middle" and I knew I had to watch this episode. It was airing the very day I was reading about it. I had to stay up until 2am that night to catch the second airing. I had to watch an entire boring episode until finally the famous 3 minutes. It was worth every second! I miss Joan.
What strikes me about this clip is that in today's world Jessica Hahn would have a hit reality show and 50 million followers on Twitter worshipping and emulating her.

This didn’t age well. I remember this scandal and most of America was still in the mindset that if a woman uses her body for financial gain she deserves to be treated like sh&t and get what they deserve. Thank goodness these times and that behavior of kicking a woman when she’s down just because she posed nude and started owning her sexuality aren’t as accepted. Yes there are many exceptions, but not near as bad as them! Man though we as woman are the worst to our fellow sex sometimes.
