You can clearly see that Dev Patel took some major inspiration from Tony Jaa´s Ong-Bak, Revenge of the Warrior and Gareth Evans´ The Raid 1 & 2, for the fight scenes. And I´m all in for it!
Loved this movie so fucking much, it was fucking amazing! I really enjoyed it so much! So going back to watch this again! :) Yeah can't say it enough just loved it so much!
The trailer is all cool and Dandy.. except for one thing - Why do they focus mostly or only on the aspects of India which come up in our usual stereotypes ? - Typical Punjabi music, display of hyper-religious people, Tantra-mantra culture, cringe try-hand accent, the ironic auto rickshaw etc. How about showing the metropolitan areas, well-dressed IT Professsionals or I don't know - some shit like that. I am happy for this movie but India is more than this, you know. Shed some light on that side.
i dont think you understand what the movie is about. if the movie is focused on a character in the slums of India that deal with corruption and the wealthy, why would there be well dressed IT professionals or anything like that, this takes place in the crime underworld of India. Obviously there is other sides to India but this is just what this movie is focusing on
