Job Lot 10 is here. I hope you all enjoy this one. Thank you TechXS for providing the kit for my iPhone X, I really appreciate it. (Not a sponsored video, I wasn't paid for reviewing the kit, they just sent it out to me to try out) I have to select the option as a paid promotion within RU-vid if you accept anything of value from a company to feature in a video. Sorry for the confusion. And thank you all for your patience for this lot. It took a while but I think it was worth it. Enjoy!
These videos fill me with joy. They're not for everyone, but to me it feels like I have a buddy working next to me. You have kept me a lot of company in recent days. Bless you, Smoorez.
Yep, we used to have a Nokia plant in Romania. Turned to dust sadly. Great video! Edit: the 2220s actually lit up its keypad at 17:58, not sure if you meant the display or the whole phone was dead.
The difference between the regular Nokia 3310 and the 3315 is that the 15 was some Asian version with a few extra features, like an image editor (those features could be unofficially unlocked on a regular 3310, as well, and I’ve got such a piece myself). You can also tell the difference, as the Asian 3315 only has its ringtones named Type 1 ~ Type 35 (reasons unknown to me), while on the regular 3310, all the ringtones have their proper names. Thanks to you playing them back in your video, we now know that the ringtones themselves are identical on both. 😊
First of All, finally another Job Lot, I've been waitin quite a bit and I'm hyped to See what you do with the Phone you get. Question: What App Do you use for your Inventory Management
Love those lot videos! Those old slider nokias are often dead, and its not even slider problem... they just die. Also that red flip Samsung look really nice, Red Dark Wine color is just soooooo nice.
Wow that Mitsubishi is the first mobile phone I ever owned ! I still have it !! It still works !!! at least as far as I know - I retired it in favour of a touch screen, not because it broke. I bet I still have the box and manual somewhere lol
quick tip when applying any film to a glass surface spritz a bit of glass cleaner to the surface before applying, it will let you slide the film/glass before the glue can set, just squeeze the glass cleaner out after with a credit card or similar item
I remember those 3 phones. My friend in primary school had the exact one you showed. I remember looking at the phone catalogues back in the day and every phone 3 sold were such chonkers, 10 year old me used to think the swivel camera was the coolest feature. Also the Nokia 6300 was the first phone my parents brought me when I started Highschool, thanks for the nostalgia trip dude, keep it up
When he mentioned the Nexus I for some reason remembered "Nexus... That sounds familiar" I went on a hunt. Searching for "HTC with Ball" then I found it after all this time. One of my first phones. The Nexus One. Amazing.
I’m not quite sure which video it was that I found you from but I believe it was one of these. I really like these because a lot of the times I will watch you while I’m doing my own repairs. Also as a blind person, thank you very much for describing things as well as you do.
Watching this on an iPhone 6 I bought on eBay for 20 bucks that I could use for solder practice. Turned out to be nothing wrong with it besides weak signal. Looks brand new straight out of a case, 100% battery health and even comes with a box.
Give me an S3 please 😆 You will not believe how much I've wanted that thing! I once bought an S3 Mini and got f'ed with a high copy that died 6 days after. Got replaced by a Core 2 and that thing still works.
Gonna have to dig my old Nokia bricks now. As for the screen kit: Very nice kit. The aluminum tools are a nice touch and it's always nice to see a kit where the screen is already mounted to a frame.
You could always pick up a cheap 3d printer and print your own missing backs. The ender 3 is like, £120, i dunno how much they are in upside-down land, but they ain't much.
Oled screens use less battery compared to lcd screens since oled don't light up black parts. Black look like true black on oled screens and not like blackish gray like on lcds.
Pretty sick joblot, I think its the first time I saw Sony Ericsson in your videos lol. But yeah it's nice to also see you repaired that iPhone and S3 which took me back! :)
Smoorez, there are 2 types of those samsung chargers, there is a white and black color of charger and they are not compatible! Most of those P models use the white charger
The Samsung SGH-P738 (Anycall) might be a Hong Kong or Taiwanese exclusive version of the Samsung SGH-P730 from the looks of it so it may need a Hong Kong or Taiwanese SIM Card at best
4:58 I spy a 2220! That was my first mobile, still have it. Still works AFAIK but sim's dead. That Always Here track from one of the other Nokias is a preloaded thing I think, I recall having that on my 2220.
The reason that case didnt fit nicely is because its meant for an iPhone XS. Although they are almost identical Apple shifted the camera's position in the XS slightly thus why their cases are not suited for X.
S3 for the win! One of my favourite phones as it was my 1st decent phone I had. Still got it, but the eMMC has failed in it after a LOT of custom firmware installs. In fact it failed in the middle of flashing. Now it won't boot just get garbage on screen on power on. Display is perfect, but it has the stress fractures (caused by bad glueing IIRC) around the front bezel which plagued a number of them.
Same with my Samsung Galaxy Core 2 duo. Actually, last thing I did was to flash some Sony inspired ROM and after playing around with it it turned off and never turned on, only to the garbage on screen. eMMC died.
Lol. I can relate to that. I used to love my job but our boss is a huge freaking ass! LOL now me and my coworkers are planning to simultaneously leave. We're just waiting for a few people to find a new job and then we'll just leave and never return😂 -ps we've work there for years without any contract so we can leave whenever we want. Lol
I can imagine a spy like Jason Bourne having a phone call with some big shot CIA agent informing him he has a burn notice on him.. Calmly walking out of a train station somewhere in Europe and after ending the phone call snapping the Nexus in half like they do to the old samsung flip phones.
17:50 Years ago in the early 2000s i attended a nerd event and one person wouldn't shut up about their 3310 being invincible. He was so sure about it that he called it and while it was ringing put it on top of an industrial high power degaussing unit built to erase and destroy whole stacks of hard drives. His face when he pressed the button and the phone jumped and went silent was sad. It never worked again. Another person felt challenged and swiftly destroyed his Siemens M35 the same way only moments later.
Golly I had several of those back in the days, Think I still have my 2 Sharp GX15's laying around somewhere Have a data cable floating around for the 3 branded Motorola Have 2 batteries and a charger for the E616 (though mine was a E616v) if I can find them, am happy to send them to you
2:44 Oh I still have my Motorola A920 with same Three branding but my stylus is broken for it. Really wanted replacement stylus but not seen any yet on ebay. Do you have Nokia 3350? I did mod back in the day a Nokia 3330 with Nokia 3410 screen and firmware from Nokia 3350. Works very well.
Man Haven't seen one of these in years (last time i saw this thing was back when i was 5-6ish) was my dads phone. 30:36 I also have a Nokia 6120 classic was my first phone in 2016 for high school still have it too and works as well, good phone too. This year i got out of high school as well as rediscovered that Nokia filled to the brim with emulators.
Mad Skilz, when in doubt, old Nokia battery for everything. Nice to see a joblot. I would hate to know how much footage you have to cut down and edit Mmmm McDonald's. Take care Smoorez
I think you are in Melbourne if I remember and I bet you felt that earthquake earlier today. Here in NZ always a common theme. Hope you are safe and the people / animals in your life are safe. Would of been a good one for sure
Correct I am. The earthquake was a little scary, caught me off guard. Ripley was frozen in place but all is good and everyone is safe! Thanks for checking up on me though! First earthquake I remember going through, I would hate to have them going on a consistent basis however. Take care yeah :)
@smoorez. Could just 3d print a cover for the obscure phone in resin In ultra quality. Very easy if you get a micro meter and take the measurements I ask I could prob do it for you.
59:30 yea there have been newer versiosn i myself have been playing bbdeluxe 3 i believe? it was on a nokia s30+ device,it was so fun and the soundtrack was SO NICE,but i broke the phone for a really random reason, later i found the j2me version too but eh its not the same, and i found the trial of the vxp and attempted to hack it,because i have another mtk mre capable device, but i got like 1 million trials (1 million x 30 = 30 million),and the phone couldnt handle it and crashed XD
