85-time winner in NASCAR Grand National/Winston Cup competition. Fiercely proud champion. Three-time Daytona 500 winner, including the 1988 edition just a few months before.
His illustrious driving career was ended as the result of a terrible accident on the first lap of the June 19, 1988 Winston Cup event at Pocono. Bobby was left with devastating injuries and a loss of memory.
We knew the story of the legend ... the NASCAR Hall of Famer ... but little about Jocko Maggiacomo, the OTHER driver involved in that long-ago accident. The Scene Vault Podcast host Rick Houston talked to Jocko for a 1995 story in Winston Cup Scene.
