Of course, I don't know Devante personally, but I think his demeanor towards press and media changed when 1. He saw how grimy the music industry is 2. After the home robbery. Extreme trauma changes people. Plus, he never really got his props for putting Missy and Timbaland on. So, I understand why he said screw all this and basically became a hermit. I just want him to know that he has fans out here...younger, older, in between who see and recognize his genius!!! Precisely. I think maturity and his few years spent in the spotlight have opened his eyes to the way the industry and its people truly operate. There are times when I want more for him but when I think about it, I can’t blame him for taking a step back. I think I would’ve done the same.
@@jodecidal I think would have done the same as well. It was great to see him touring with the guys and getting props from his peers. I really hope he enjoyed his experience on The Culture Tour. I hate that I missed them, I wish they would have come to New Orleans!
Unless he write a tell all book ( I doubt) we'll never know. Might have been too much too soon. Dude was 22 and all the girls worshipped him. And if course that made him cool to us. But that might have been overwhelming and at times annoying. And alot of genius minds have conflictions in other aspects of life. K has always had remnants of that southern accent, but I think all of them picked up on the city flow quickly. His accent was an infusion of both imo. Both of them are permanently in the south [now] though so that’s probably why it’s prominent again.
