How the hell did she heal the fandom? Obv they'll start calling on her to criticise Laura Neal and slam her like she doesn't hate her, as well as calling on her to renew S5.
I do enjoy Marvel stuff. It's just -- SHE is above everything! Compared to her level of acting everything else feels pre-schoolish. Kindergarten stuff. JC is the real thing. She rules. And here -- I'm the first line of defense. My half Asian daughter with her Katana is right behind me. All the more: JC is a world changer and doesn't even realize it. She doesn't want to be a leader. Makes her the the best leader we could dream up. If tomorrow Aliens from outer space would show up, who would any of you would like to represent us Earthlings? Trump? Putin? Xi? Three other options: Kamala Harris, Ursula von der Leyen (President of the EU Commission) and: JODIE COMER. Kamala and Ursula were democratically elected. JC was unofficially fan elected. Most people on the planet probably never even have heard about Ursula von der Leyen. That's sad, especially for all the girls out there (says me, dad of three girls). She is the chief administrator of the world's most powerful entity, the European Union. This rant started with being a marvel fan or not. Next level: Alien star system destruction fleet commander comes down to Earth. Meet JC (or Villanelle?) No, I think JC. She said she wants to do serious sc-ifi. Could be a great, this time 2 people, stage play. Stanislaw Lem Style. My daughter and I volunteer to write it.
The fact the Josh was comfortable enough to make a joke about how the whole interview “felt like a psychiatric session” shows how humble and relatable Jodie is. I love how she doesn’t have an inch of all the showbizness bullshit vibes around her. Just a genuine, honest, down to earth person. She has a way of making an interviewer feel like she can be their friend. Literally one of the most talented yet humble celebrity nowadays.
The GREAT, the Incomparable, Emmy Winning, multiple Bafta winning, multiple Golden Globe nominated, soon to be Oliver, Tony, Oscar and Grammy award winning Ms. Jodie Comer(future EGOT). In this generation of actors, Jodie is HER.
She is the best of our time right now . I do doubt she will get a Grammy however. She says she can't sing a note LOL. So honest and humble. But on screen or on stage. With others or one woman performance . She is literally incredible. Outstanding. Remarkable. A rare talent. A beautiful talent. A real talent. She never fails. And her ability to make you feel when watching her is something special. She is special. She also is so down to earth. Humble. Kind and beautiful inside and out. The real deal. Jodie Comer forever ❤❤❤
@@laurenzomars1683 Well fortunately Grammy’s are awarded for things like audiobooks and narration so, I wouldn’t count our girl out just yet. President Obama had two Grammy’s in the Word Album category. Viola Davis just gained her EGOT status by doing the same voicing her own autobiography. So, never say never. 😉 I couldn’t agree with you more. Of the newer crop of actors, she is my clear favorite because of her range. She’s so damn good, I would probably watch her in anything.
@@MKelly-pm1np music to my ears. I know our JC is one of a kind and capable of anything ♡ Obama? Pffft I'd take a day with Jodie over Obama and all celebs!×××
Talent is talent. And Jody is a natural. I saw print facie yesterday and was completely blown away by her performance. I can’t imagine doing what she did 8 times a week. So emotionally draining. I’m sure she bails the performance every time. One of the best play ever and she gives it her all. Jody Comer is one of the best actress to exist. What a privilege to watch her live.
The critics loved it. The lame-ass Marvel Movie lovers (like you) hated it, because, after all, you wouldn't recognize a good film if it kicked you in the junk.
She is the best of our time right now . I So honest and humble, always credits others behind the scenes when she wins, showing her respect and gratitude and who is is as a person and angelof earth. And on screen or on stage. With others or a one woman performance . She is literally incredible. Outstanding. Remarkable. A rare talent. A beautiful talent. A real talent. She never fails. And her ability to make you feel when watching her is something special. She is special. She also is so down to earth. Humble. Kind and beautiful inside and out. The real deal. Jodie Comer forever ❤❤❤
Having watched the play in London, I strongly recommend anyone that can to go watch this play. 1hr 40mins of pure talent and breathtaking acting, plus a gut punching story.
What a beautiful interview! Jodie is so modest and humble and Josh is very relaxed but kept the whole interview engaging. I have so much admiration for Jodie, she's the best in the world right now in my opinion and what an open, honest gorgeous personality she has. Really enjoyed watching this, thanks so much Josh.
Jodie’s performance of Prima facie was incredible. I only got to see it at the movie theater but I thought she was amazing - I could only dream of actually seeing her perform that live. We were also deprived of more episodes from her in killing eve- darn Covid… I can’t wait for more projects from her!
Im from South London and have prejudice about those up north which I now find myself calling into question because this young woman is so bright and sharp and clever. Ive just spent the past few days watching Killing Eve. Such a talented actor.
Just watched the full video of the performance "Prima Facie". English is a foreign language for me, but I felt like I was clearly understanding every single word. Jodie’s acting is absolutely stunning in my opinion! She’s created such an amazing character with such a heartbreaking story! And all the tiny nuances of the psychological dynamics are played so incredibly well, so deeply moving. I very much love Jodie Comer in all the films she was in (even despite noticeable flaws in “Killing Eve” script). But this theatrical work of hers impressed me so much! Among the young generation of actresses it’s definitely Jodie Comer and Anya Taylor-Joy who absolutely stand out in the global acting landscape as new superstars of nowadays! Thank you so much for this delightful interview with Jodie as well as huge thanks to Jodie herself for an amazing and exquisite treasure of her acting that she’s been so generously granting us with! ❤
I have really enjoyed watching Jodie on screen since her early days in Mad Fat Diary and Thirteen. I had no idea she was from my hometown even then, shows her talent for accents. Then when I saw her smash it in Killing Eve and Free Guy I just new she made it ❤ Love how she is still humble, approachable and real. A real talent!
Thank you so much for this amazing interview Josh 👏 and Jodie . Just a great interesting interview ❤ us fans so needed this , Jodie it would be amazing if you made a film with PWB & Kayleigh part of production and obviously you as Villanelle no one else could ever step into Villanelles shoes you made her & Sandra as eve and do a Luke Jennings ending ❤ we can all dream. Was lovely to hear your thoughts on the finale and the hand movement in the interview 😂 villanelle lives she crawled out, my opinion LN wasn’t the one for touching what you all made gold ! Sorry but I will never watch any of LNs shows it baffles me she is a writer . If anyone was gonna bring KE to a end it should of been the amazing PWB KE was her baby . Good luck with broadway, 🎉and all the other work you have coming up. Uk 🇬🇧 are so proud of you 😊
That's what I said. Unlike JC, The other 3 have already cemented their place in Hollywood while Jodie's conquest of the theatre world via Prima Facie was a career reset.
@@Senate300 WDYM Career reset? She did Last Duel with Ridley Scott and was his favourite for female lead in his upcoming Napoleon and was involved with that project for sometime but walked out due to tight schedule and has movie coming out with Jeff Nichols alongside Tom Hardy and Austin Butler and also The end we start from with Benedict Cummerbatch and if you saw the first look picture of that movie you'd know she coming for awards.
@@droogs8826 I'm looking forward to The post apocalyptic drama, The End We Started From. JC turning down Napoleon for Prima Facie was the best decision she made so far. She carried the Last Duel which was a flop for many reasons.
I love how confident jodie is now just watched a question and answer about the white princess which was probably 5 years ago and she was really nervous, I can't wait to watch the movie bike riders what a cast Tom Hardy and jodie comer definitely my two favourite actors.
Oh my gosh! Jodie cried while watching ‘The Fox & The Hound’! I literally thought that’s what she’d say before she said it 😱😱😱 She’s my spirit animal, love her ❤❤❤
It is such a shame that I can't just come over to NY from Germany and watch the play. I love her so much, she is such an amazing and talented actress! And I feel like her voice has totally evolved compared to interviews she did 4 or 5 years ago. Now she sounds more like Villanelle than when she shot KE. Or is this just because she tries not to let her Liverpool accent come through?
After (presumably) seeing Villanelle die, yes I did; I needed a period of mourning for many days (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`) I had never felt like that before with the loss of any other character. I love both much, Villanelle and Jodie LOVE from Spain! ♡♡♡♡♡
Josh you are the best interviewer EVER❤ I've always loved watching your interviews from WAAAYYYY back❤ sooo happy to have found your AMAZING podcast❤ thank you 🙏🙂
A great watch! Don't know about anyone else but whenever I watch an interview with Jodie it puts a bit of a spring in my step and sets me up for the day. Loved the bit where she said she'd follow people with dogs but then said it's probably weird! 😂 Well, I wouldn't think so, I would lap up the chance to be followed by her. Joking aside, I'd even pay to meet and have a one on one chat and day of activities with her, she just seems like a really nice woman to spend time with, it would complete me actually! Plus I'm only a year apart in age from her so I feel like we'd relate to each other well 🙂
Duuuuuude! Me too! I’m a year older than her, but she is definitely very relateable. She’s also so well spoken, genuine, humble, and a real down to earth person. The way she conducts herself is such a breath of fresh air! Phenomenal! When I grow up, I wanna be like Jodie!
"Last week we had Florence Pugh, this week we have Jodie Comer. It doesn't get better than Jodie Comer!" 🤣 Careful Josh, you're gonna hurt some feelings!
I knew she had to have ONE flaw at least and I finally know what it is. She's not a cat person 😢 JK JK (but am I?) Died laughing at " how do you feel about beans?" Lmao
For me it wasn't that she's not a cat person but how much emphasis she put on DOGS. Seems like cats are really not her thing and yet, her personality is more catlike. She's very sensitive and very self protective (understandable) which are more cat qualities than dog. Her outer personality is very dog, her inner self is very cat so it's funny she does not relate to them.
I liked the rumor she was Sue Storm. I think she would make the character very warm and likeable and a nice contrast for whoever plays the analytical Reed Richards
Great interview. Well my optimistic self am thinking that Jodie could Get a role in tintin 2. (its been announced nothing more so it will probably never happen but you know there is always hope)
I love the fact that she kept her Liverpool accent like Stephen Graham instead of going for a RP one that wouldn't suit her. By the way she's immensely talented.
Does anyone know what she's talking abt when she mentions revisiting Villanelle? Is something new coming out/ has something new came out that I potentially missed where she's acting as her again-??
