I think your problems might be due to the loose nut behind the handlebars. Try some heavier bar ends for the vibration. The best bike for a sports tourer is a Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird😁

Darn that loose nut! As for the Blackbird, good choice but probably goes through fuel, tyres and chains too regularly due to all the power.
