The 80's was something from a dream, I was never more alive, the same as you; everything popped with life. The environs smelled fragrant, like raspberry hard candy, Madame Francis Mangoes, Baskin Robbins pistachio ice cream, Cherry 7up. The mood, ambience, tone was innocent and fun, things had a flow. 1987 was when this NYC boy first kissed and fondled girls, this song and Cutting Crew I Just Died in Your Arms was the biggest songs and Predator was the biggest movie. I treasure those days, so many bad things happened to me since the 80's, indignities galore, the world lost its mind with deathly nonsensical entertainment but 1987 remains an ephemeral treasure in my mind.
