The best job I ever had I started my day at 3AM. And Joe's overnight rants were a major part of that. And he's still going strong.

Joe. The blunt force trauma of all things Mets. Loving the honesty from him. Missing him in the afternoons. But hey this is better than nothing.

I didn't know who Joe Benigno was. I freakin love this guy. This guy is awesome. He keeps it real and he knows what he is talking about. I am Giants fan and I want the Jets to do well for Joe's sake. He is a gem. He deserves that. I love that Tiki and Tierney bring him on the show.

I love Joe, even way back when he used to do nights on The Fan. He is our voice and frustration of almost every Met and Jets fan. Joe is on point with everything he said here. I even thought what Buck did was rediculas stalling the game. Turned out to be a waste of time and added to the embarrassment of our One Hitting Mets. Sure Bassitt was to blame the most here, but that's not the whole problem. It's a do or die event, and the Mets didn't take care of business period. What happened to the patient hitting taking deep counts and passing the batton? We believe in each other? this was another complete collapse and I couldnt give a damn about the 101 win season. You go Joe tell it like it is, you always do and it's numbs the pain just a little. If you are in your 50's or more, you are tired of the excuses, better next year crap.

Mets have to wait until next year. Winning a 101 games this season was nice. Winning 2 games in this playoff series would have been better.

99 and 06 were so much more painful then this. This team hasn't been playing well for a month. Game 3 once they were down 4-0 I knew this game was over. No suspense, no drama they were cooked. How could you compare the heartbreak? Not even close

I mean, If I am the Mets - I sign Nimmo and Judge, especially if they cant resign DeGrom, Judge can be DH which will keep him healthy and the Mets can keep Starling in RF, Cahna in LF and Nimmo in CF.. at worst Judge can spell RF in case of injuries since all 3 can play center.

The 88 team was very dominant. They should have won easily but the Game 4 decision to leave Gooden in and not put in Myers was the turning point in the series.

The problem with the Mets is that at times....they're red hot during the 1st half of the season before FLAMING out during the 2nd half. 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Joe Benigno sometimes gets too emotional and carried away but he's absolutely right about the Mets.

They need to take what they learned from this year and apply to next season. The Yankees did that in 1998…they lost in the divisional series in 1997, and the following year they became unbeatable and ended the season with a World Series title, 125 total wins, and sweeping the Padres. So the Mets can do something like that for next season. Make it that the other teams wouldn’t be able to beat them. Next year will be the 60th season in Queens too. And this team did did much better than the team from 1962…who lost over 100 games (even the 1990 Yankees didn’t do that…although they got close).

Scherzer is really NOT a Met he took the money! I think you have to give the Padres some credit here. They have some good pitching and hitters and are not an easy team to beat. Joe Musgrove pitched like A young Tom Seaver in the last game of the wild card. Pretty impressive.
