I am still p.o’d at democrats for keeping schools closed so long. I understand the caution and a lot of the closures at the beginning when so little was known of what we were dealing with but they continued to stretch it out in illogical ways. I had 2 kids in school during this time. One in middle school and one in high school. The one that was in high school is still struggling (now in university) with the learning that he missed. There were so many BETTER ways they could have handled it but they failed the kids. They will likely have lifelong struggles due to that missed time. Even aside from the missed learning, one had no social interaction and never got to experience sports, homecoming, dances, proms, extracurricular activities.

Our schools never closed, OLNY for the initial three months in the spring. My children all attended school full time with shorter schedules for seasonal sports. They are not behind academically or emotionally. However, I treat many who are. So there is no celebration for Democrats in this area. They failed, miserably.
