Lizard King I was just planning to watch the Berry/Clapton vid when I stumbled upon this. Finally a white blues player who doesn't just run the scales like a machine. (I'm, myself, a whiter shade of pale)
Actually similar but not the same. This one is a three pickup ES-5 while Clapton’s is a two pickup ES-350 as played by Chuck Berry in the early days..😉
Brevity is not only the soul of wit but the essence of master playing. Dragging this out for almost 13 mins. is almost painful, compare it to Clapton's neat, tight and much shorter version. Blues aint opera.
I couldn’t disagree with you more. It was inspiring & I only wish I could’ve been there. There was a 2 minute Keyboard solo & another 2 minute guitar solo that was also fantastic that you disingenuously include in your 13 rundown critique.
@@billwanke1681 Then you haven't heard Claptons version on "Hail Hail Rock and Roll". Its the difference between the Gettysburg Address, and the guy who came on before Lincoln with that long winded epilogue, what's his name.
@@taxfree4 I most certainly have. Only 9-10x. This is as good if not better. Played in a small venue w a great vibe. And as said another guitar solo besides JB & a keyboard solo not to mention a killer long intro.
