I can’t believe how many thumbs down joe got for this lovely little song, to some it’s very meaningful to those who relate it to someone they have lost . This generation of talented musicians are dying out and the generation of today don’t get it unless there’s some kind of electronic beat box or sample machine which is sad. A credit to joe brown for an amazing true Britain performance.

He is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I was working at the Tramshed Theatre in Woolwich, when I was the theatre photographer and general dogsbody. I had the honour of walking onto the stage to inform him that he was now a grandad and his daughter had just given birth to a beautiful baby daughter.

For someone who worked in the music industry for years (US record labels and management), it pains me to admit that Joe Brown had never come on my radar. Then, I saw him perform this song as the closing performance of the Concert For George. I was in a heap of tears on the sofa. It was SO beautiful and perfect for remembering the 'quiet Beatle'. Having taken up the ukulele last year (and knowing George's love of the instrument), I committed then and there to learning this wonderful tune . It's not a beginner's song but every minute I've spent hashing out the chord changes has been worth it. It's now one of my favorite songs of all time. Thank you Joe for honoring the beloved Mr. Harrison with such grace and charm. You're a gem!!
@ConesuelaLadyTailor

🍀🇺🇸🌿 I too just discovered Joe since he wasn't part of the amazing British Invasion here in the 60's. He truly is a GEM!💗 So happy when his mates joined hands for their own goodbye and how the audience roared their approval. The last 2 guys raising their hands as they left the stage was a special bonus! I love them all!💗

Many of the older folk on here who were members of the Joe Brown Fan Club in the early days will remember my mate Stan Laundon. Stan who was from Hartlepool used to run the fan club in the early days and is still a big friend of Joe`s.

More power to a real people's man! Joe worked with them all. I believe Eddie Cochran even gave him his guitar. Most underestimated performer we ever had. Hints of genius keep flashing from beneath his humble demeanour. When asked jokingly if he'd heard of any English singers, Little Richard said seriously, 'I've heard of Joe Brown...?'

I lived in London back in the very early 60's and Picture of You was a big hit. I've never forgotten it, never forgotten Helen Shapiro's Tell Me What He Said, either, and I periodically come back to RU-vid to listen to both and remember wonderful times, wonderful times and the Cuban Missile Crisis! Ha!

I saw Joe and his band ‘The Bruvvers’ in Largs in Scotland almost 20 years and they played a fantastic show. Afterwards he came into the foyer of the Vikingar Theatre meeting fans and chatted and signed autographs for over half an hour. My Mum who played a wonderful hand made BanjoUkelele jammed with Joe who played my lovely hand made guitar I’d brought along to show him. It was an absolute joy and he’s such a friendly genuine guy. I noticed they’d video has to date 802 dislikes.. Can’t believe it. Some folk have no taste or ability to appreciate probably due to the brain cells that they’re devoid of as well!
