Mark my words. This kid is the type of player than can adjust to anything. And fast. He has the IT factor. We've never seen someone as talented as him. Hes special. He will be the NFLs premier Quarterback for the next 10+ years. And being a Bengals Fan. I. Cant. Wait.
He had a sensational season but let's not forget the fact that the previous four years he 0 signs of any of this. Take a guy like the Alabama quarterback who at 18 years old walked right into the national championship game and has been a star ever since. Not saying he's better I have no idea but what he did was every bit if not more impressive as he posted the best career quarterback rating in college football history can get it the same age burrow was 4th string
@@arthurfonzarelli9828100% agree that Tua is an outstanding QB in his own right. No doubt. What he did for Alabama will be rememered for years to come. But I think there are alot of factors as to why Burrow was buried on the depth chart at OSU. They were DEEEEP at QB. Barret, Jones, and the other guy who transitioned to receiver (cant remember his name).. If I had to guess why.. Id say that his style of play had alot to do with it. He was doubted by many.. They were sitting on a gold mine and just never knew it... But it happens. Nature of the beast I guess. LSU was a great fit for Joe. Last year they were cautious with him. Didn't put too much on his shoulders.. But This year they took the leash off.. And when they decided to do that.. We saw what he was capable of. We may never see one like him again in college ball. I feel confident about what he'll do in the NFL.. But I concede that neither me or anyone else will truly know until it happens.
@@kevinlee9929 Nobody seen this coming so that's the point. When he did throw the ball in past years whether it was in practices or games there were no signs that he was going to ever play at this level nor should there have been expectations like that considering college quarterbacks never have had a year probably this good. The one worry I would have though is how much does all this have to do with passing game Joe Brady as that's the one thing that's changed
d17a2dude cam Newton and Jamies Winston are most similar. Both won national championships and heisman right before entering draft. I guarantee you Jameis enters into franchise contract.
Burrow is different. It wasn’t given to him - he earned it all. Work, sweat, heart, confidence. This kid has all that plus real talent. If he isn’t a top 5 QB in the NFL in two years, I’ll be shocked.
All this hate on Cincinnati? They got joe mixon.. they got a oLine that sucked but played great last 5 games once Cody glen came back. They got Tyler Boyd and Tyler effiert both top 15 players or top 20 in the position. When Ross played he played at a elite level being top 5 in yards when playing. And with a year under the *rookie head coach I think this team will be a top 10 offense easy. All this hate cause of Mike Brown but at least the man is loyal which is hard to find in today’s age smh
@S.A.Y S.A.Y facts it's not like we've been terrible outside of last year which is an outlier because of a rookie head coach and a huge amount of injuries. I think people forget we've been to the playoffs five times in the last 9 years
Marcus we love you down here at Home, proud to have you Booger, and Ryan Clark representing LSU on the big stage at such a high level!! PROUD Allium, 4everLSU!!! "Geaux Tigers"
Something happened to Joe's mentality before this season. He different now. He more than ready to take on the NFL. Patrick Mahomes surprised everyone, and so will Joe.
PuppyTube you have to remember one thing with Patrick Mahomes he was lucky to have Andy Reid as a coach and Alex Smith as a mentor for a year. No matter how talented you are these small things matter. Burrow on the other hand is most likely going to end up in Cincinnati and is most likely going to start immediately. So let’s see how it goes, all the best to him.
@@nikhilshetty007 Clearly never watched any of his college tape. Patrick Mahomes literally led the league in passing, TDs, and completions his junior year at Tech. Everyone in Lubbock knew he was going to light up the league as well when he declared early. All the "experts" said he couldn't do it at the next level. And here he is poised to take the super bowl with an NFL defense that isnt even that good.
S.A.Y these kids these days... mahomes has a great coach and elite weapons at every offensive position outside of runing back. Joe burrow won’t have that great coach and won’t have those weapons. He won’t have that amazing oline he had at LSU and he’ll be playing in a headhunting division with championship talent on their rosters. The deck couldn’t be more stacked against burrow but best of luck to him in the nfl.
@@softtears6775 lol yall wild. I graduated from tech 2016 and call it what you will but dude was a god in college & now the NFL. Not that easy to translate success when you throw no-look and side arm throws every other practice in college and in games. It's pretty simple to add up sorry you couldn't figure it out when the draft came XD
Anyone on here remember who Chris Weinke was. He was a 26 year old qb for FSU and dominated his last year before going to the nfl. Well joe here is 23 years old playing against kids 17-20 years old. Did you not expect him to be dominant too. IMO I don’t think he’s gonna be any good in the nfl. People forget he only threw 16, yes I said 16 touchdowns last year at LSU and he played every snap that year. Smh, calm down on the hype train people
That he threw 16 last year is a point in his favor. It means his improvement is dramatic. If Burrow had thrown 60 last year too then that would indicate 0 improvement. That would be a bad sign. So I'm not sure what you mean here.
And the kids on the field are more 20 to 22 and people are really trying to use this tired excuse of his age as a way to knock him when there are other players that are grad transfers that cant even dominate true freshman they play against
This has aged well with Joe Burrow already taking the bengals to the superbowl. They lost but Joe did everything he could minus an offensive line and still almost pulled out.
I'm not even a Pats fan but that's not the Patriots way the Pats don't try to get someone who is said to already be amazing they get someone with a good skillset & make them amazing
This kid had super talented recievers, a beast running back and a dominant Oline. I think you put me back their and ill throw 2k yards and 20 tds. ive seen this formula too many times and I see this kid being an average qb at best if not a career back up.
@@mcat3309 yeah because he knows the system so well. Im not saying hes a scrub im just saying he is not going to be an elite qb in the NFL. Hes basically Dalton 2.o. The road two the NFL is littered with QBs with far more talent and success in college who didnt cut it.
Oliver McCall sure he will. He won every game this year and never struggled. Go back and watch the games, he was cool and steady all year. He will be fine in the NFL.
yeah, but doesn't EVERY rookie have to do this ? burrow will be just fine. he's a STAR in the making at cincinnati, something they haven't had at THAT position since CARSON PALMER
Tua before his injury wasn't anywhere near Burrow's league. However, now that he is hurt I hope he heals up quickly and still gets drafted high in the draft.
I reviewed all the 2019 LSU games - that is After the victory over Clemson. Joe reminded me of how Tom Brady works the pocket - at Brady's best. But Joe adds quickness and acceleration into a run. And he goes to the run - only as a last resort. Then he converted more 3rd downs with his run than any QB ( I think ). I watched him hug #77 Charles after some extra long times in the pocket - where Charles kept "legal" blocks on pass rushers - that ended in big plays for LSU. Joe knows he needs the work of great O-Line guys. He just makes the most of the opportunities. When Marshal dropped a TD pass - he came over to Joe on sidelines and said sorry. Joe slapped him on chest and said "We'll get the next one" -- and a few plays later Marshal made a great TD catch. It could have been a movie scene - but it was Reality - played out live on TV. I'm a believer now - after a lifetime cheering Iowa Hawks and USC. I'm a Joe fan now. He will have to do something real bad to shake me off. I'm not expecting that. Go Tigers. Go Joe!
Throwing your number one pick out and saying “sink or swim” is risky..if he doesn’t do well it could destroy his confidence..Rodgers sat 2 years..he was 25 when he started.
He is a stone cold fox as well haha - but no lie I would not ever want to be playing against him. I can see his eyes.... he has that eye of ...’ eating no for breakfast’.
After having to SIT ON THE BENCH => FOR 3 YEARS => BEHIND A LESSER TALENTED QB => while at OSU...….I think he'll handle it fine => unless the BENGALS HIRE URBAN MEYER and he drafts Joe and then sits him another 3 years.....LMAO. If that happens => I hope Joe DEMANDS a TRADE ! MORE JOE BURROW ==> less urban meyer
It depends where he goes. If he goes to the Bengals he’s finished. People will call him a bust. If you switch a lot of qbs around in the league we would be naming different qbs when it came to a top 5 or 10 list.
He’s got a good core in Cincinnati, especially if they get a healthy AJ. They need to buff up the line a lot. Then work on the defense. Cincinnati is probably three years away from being a playoff team. Five or six from being a contender.
Name a white hiesman winner that’s been good or better yet, still in the league? You can throw millions away on this guy if you want to, he’s Brady Quin. This is what you call a product of being surrounded by ELITE TALENT......period‼️💥
Kevin Lee...... So was Sam Bradford, I don’t hear you mentioning none of that ELITE TALENT he surrounded by at LSU. He NEVER won a starting job on his own, he transferred around.....right? Yup, good pro move 😂‼️
@@ryanporter8423 How is him being around elite any different than any other player at any other Power 5 school? Oh yea Trevor Lawrence and Jalen Hurts plays with bums right? 🙄😂😂😂
We don't give these young kids time to develop....At some point he'll face some adversity and we'll be shitting all over him like he's been the league for over 10 years, book it...
He’s gonna be another trubisky spend his entire college career on the bench has one good year now all of a sudden he’s god of football I like joe burrow but he’s not the next coming of Tom brady
Joe Burrow needs to find any way to avoid being drafted by Cincinnati and Cleveland. Those places will kill a career before it begins. I know that great players can get drafted to teams that are ABSOLUTE trash, but it's going to be tragic for this man to be drafted to a team that will be horrible no matter what.
@@SpicyTexan64 im from SC and of course pull for Clemson, but i recognize talent when i see it and Joe has it. I don't know know well he'll do in the NFL but i know he's definitely a cut above the rest of college ball.
I think Burrow should play *running back or tight end* no way he can make it at Quarterback. Yes I know he won the Heisman and broke all kind of School records, but will his playing style translate to the NFL ?? The HYPOCRISY is COMICAL
I don’t see him being a bust. saying as LSU was running an NFL offense this season, you saw how that worked out, so I think he’s made for the NFL. Now will the Bengals be any good after drafting him? Idk, but it can guarantee it won’t be his fault.
He's too good to be a bust since he's played the best teams and beat them, while throwing 60 TDs in the season, won the Heisman, championship, broke so many records.
S.A.Y really cause Tua played good last year and this year before being injured, burrows threw only 16 touchdowns last year in the same system lol. Tua did that his freshmen year as a backup. Burrows is not, and I repeat not, that good
