Joe Dallas - Freedom from Homosexuality and Pornography 

I'm hetrosexual and I want to encourage those men and women who struggle with same sex attraction, just remember this.....just because you struggle with different sins than me, gives me no right to diminish you to make myself feel good. My story is quite similar to Joe's and I have to say, what a man and what a miracle the way God used him for His glory. God is sovereign and you are a work in progress for His glory.

I was an active participant in the LGBT community for 21 years. The biggest reason I left the church in the early 1990s was because of a bad coming out experience. So I hit the bars really hard, drank obsessively and became an alcoholic. I dated quite a few guys and had sexual relations with a crazy number of guys (you get the picture). I attended all the Pride parades. Even after I got sober in 2004, I had to choose a higher power, so I chose the Celtic Wiccan path. I came back to Christ at the end of 2014 and had the greatest spiritual awakening of my life. I attended a traditional UMC church that was affirming. It was a church that had the unspoken message of come as you are, stay as you are because God loves you just as you are. The sermons sounded like humanistic self help with a few Bible verses thrown in. I still felt like something was wrong. I had my last homosexual experience with another guy February of 2015 and had been single and celibate ever since. I could have gone back to that church a long time ago, but the representatives from that church didn't represent Jesus Christ very well. They were still drinking like crazy at the bars, having lap dances with strippers, hooking up at after hours parties. One boy bragged how drunk he was from the previous night and played the organ during church while still intoxicated. All these things rubbed me the wrong way. These affirming churches seem to be more concerned with their next Pride parade to march in than get lost people saved. I started my own recovery ministry for drugs and alcohol at that UMC church combining the Twelve Steps of recovery with the Bible. To get a real Holy Ghost experience, I would occasionally attend the church I left in 1994, World Harvest. I had a feeling that I was destined to go back there. (Side note: I have a bad back and there was twitching down my leg because of the condition.) Then on January 24, 2016, I got there late because I raced there from my UMC church. Pastor Rod was on stage having a healing service. I just sat my stuff down on the pew and he pointed to my section and called out, "Someone is having twitching in their body. That twitching will leave in Jesus Name." Well, he called me out, so I came down to get prayed for. There were already over 100 people up front being prayed for various reasons. Pastor Rod looked at me several times. I know that he doesn't know me. The regular services have around 3000 people attend and camp meeting packs out at around 6,000 or so. It's a big place. But after everyone was dismissed back to their seats, Pastor Rod did something very respectful. He had everyone close their eyes and bow their heads, then said, "If you are someone with same sex attraction, you don't have to live like that. And if you go to a place that supports something like that, get out of there. I love you." He really did call me out. I knew that I needed to leave that UMC church. I didn't agree with the ministry and its teachings and I needed to get into a place where I could really get the preached word of the uncompromising gospel of Jesus Christ. So that is my testimony in a nutshell. I feel like I am between worlds. I have a lot of gay friends still. I don't know anyone on a personal level at WHC. I volunteer at a homeless mission where I moved my recovery ministry. And it is not an affirming ministry. I am content with the fact that I will probably be permanently single. I can't have a relationship with a guy, and I don't have any intimate feelings for women. I can be the emotional eunuch as described in Matthew 19:12. I have over 4200 people on my Facebook page and I use it to preach the Word of God. I tried to post things about salvation and not about homosexuality. I preach against lust and get people really angry because lust is very much integrated in the LGBT lifestyle. Gay bars seem to be the modern form of Ba'al worship. They are Temples of Lust and Worldly Pleasure. Strippers are temple prostitutes and drag queens are high priestesses encouraging drinking and lust and all sort of things that defile a person. My first prophetic word of 2016 came from Psalms 84:10 “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” I don't need to go to the bars, not even just to hang out with my gay friends. I got rid of all my gay books, 15 years worth of magazines (Advocate, OUT, Genre, Instinct), got rid of all of my porn, Pride Tshirts, rainbow flags, and everything I could think of that reminded me of the life I left behind. It still kinda hurts to hear anything pro-gay and anti-gay because I am still in shell shock of something that has been so much integrated into my identity. I keep quiet about that chapter of my life because I don't want people to associate me with my history. I want people Spirit filled to be there to encourage me on my destiny and to grow in the Lord. And God confirms His Word with signs and wonders. I don't see any signs and wonders at affirming churches. I don't see any lives changed. Church is just a Sunday ritual to serve their time. But at the church I attend now, there are un-explainable signs and wonders. They go out into the crack neighborhoods and strip clubs and pray for people and get people saved. People are changing their lives and people by the thousands are committing to Christ. Lives are being changed. I want to be in a place like that. I want to be on the winning side.

I'm glad that you have that kind program in the US. Here in the Philippines, we don't have that kind of support groups and access to people who will truly understand us! I am a Christian and I have that kind of battles, and we (in the local church where I belong) don't talk openly about that kind of struggles, never a single one of it! That is why I just love that you have that kind of program in RU-vid where I can constantly view and listen, encourage to live and overcome that kind of struggles, in Jesus name! God bless you.

Thank you Joe, our stories were similar. However, I did get angry with God. My challenge was, if God is Sovereign why did he allow another man and others to sexually abuse me. I now realize God had nothing to do with allowing them to abuse me. It was there own brokenness in their lives. Again, thanks for sharing your story!

I’m so glad you brought up the point that people don’t stop struggling with sexual temptation even after coming to Christ, particularly homosexuality. I just read/heard some info from one pastor who preached hardcore that the one who chooses to go into homosexuality - especially already knowing about Jesus - is basically making the choice to reject God and have a reprobate mind, thereby sealing their fate that they are rejected by God. The struggle with same-sex attraction is a very close topic to me too, and yet, I cannot subscribe to that other person’s teaching. It’s like he was saying “if you choose homosexuality then it’s simply the fruit of your own rebellion against God and choice to turn your back on Him.” That sounds incredibly fatalistic and static with no room for repentance in such a person’s life. But Dr. Joe Dallas and other testimonies like his, clearly show the grace of God and His willingness to forgive and heal us and set our love in order. Dr. Mario Bergner and my good friend Dr. Garry Ingraham are wonderful testimonies as well.

What I appreciate about this guy is the fact that his masculinity exceeds that of most "heterosexual" men...in and outside the church. He appears to be an honest leader...

This man is anointed with the holy spirit and is being used in a major way, he claims amazon has banned his book on overcoming homosexuality and i see why. His honesty and knowledge about the subject has convicted me not to be so judgmental, jesus is the way the truth and the life. Amen

Joe Dallas is SPOT ON. I was searching for a gay married couple who were devoted in communion with each other and to God. All Gay Married Couples I met with were engaging in group sex, actively cheating and were okay with it, or just unhappy. What kind of marriage is that?? I thought I could be the demonstration of a true happily gay married couple in God, but it's not true. I didn't get it, I thought these "ex gays" were just homophobes but every gay man knows, have been through a similar experience if not exactly his experience. I was exposed to porn very early too.

Joe, I didn't get to comment on a previous video, with regards to something you said about telling your son to empty the garbage can (now), and he changed your request to suit his favor; My dad was a preacher as well, ...and he said something similar to me, which amounted to "Empty the trash!", I forgot, and when he came home from work, he saw the trash had not been emptied, and he proceeded to empty the trash can into my bed, and I had never forgotten to empty the trash after that! They are breaking the third commandment: "Thou shall not take YHWH's name in vain." In other words, do not call yourself a follower of the one true God, if you are not.

Jesus holds all power in heaven, earth, and hell and can break the power of Satan's hold on your life.

Boy fathers are so so so so important and of course mothers too but religion is so important too.

I pray for homosexuals so they can believe in God ,turn from that life of sin they live , pray that you can let more people know of your change of heart & brain from the homosexual thinking ! I know that young men that are confused about this can turn their belief to God !

HI Jesus/ Yeshua, says ' Love your neighbour as yourself' as in, Treat others how you want to be treated, which puts us in the driving seat so to speak. It is the OPPOSITE of dependency behaviour, [ Which is the carnal mindset ] We are COMMANDED by Christ to act this way. The ten commandments have this as their core. If you treat others how you want to be treated ie. with respect, honesty i.e. calling a spade a spade, and mercy, wrong behaviour can be addressed and forgiven in Christ, if repented of. Shalom to us only in Christ Yeshua.

What good is happening is from god, and sin from the devil ? Our responsability is to choose one or the other ? Arent we suppose to surrounder to God will for him to remove sin from us ?
