Well you see, E.T. was a game that was supposed to come out in 1982 for Christmas (because stuff sells well during the Christmas season). Now since the movie had come out around the summer of 1982 and the dev (forgot the name) needed the rights to it, he had just five weeks left to make it. To be frank, the game development was rushed and the result was disapointing as well as a flop. This rushed game contributed to the video game crash of 1983. Sorry about any typos.

Do they not have the PainStation anymore? Basically a Pong game but you have to hold a hand onto the table and when the ball gets past you it hurts you in various ways. It's hilarious.
