I actually have been there, 18 years ago. I was 8. I remember that my parents had a hard time communicating becuase almost nobody understood english.. Time has changed that huh?
I think they "know" english sweetheart. Maybe they're just not as fluent in it as others, holy fuck how can it be a surprise for you? How good do you think you are when you're not speaking your native language?
That lady said NO ENGLISH. So, she does not speaks/understands it. Many more are the same. BTW, English is not my native language, DOH! Also, when did I say it's a surprise for me?
engladtur A lot of European countries do have pretty good English education. The problem is that a lot of people don't have use for English in their native countries since everything is translated for them. But for someone like me as an example who use English on almost a daily basis on the internet get better knowledge about the language. So, I'm kinda with you on that. I really don't like the tone your writing in though. Seems a bit hostile.

hi & bye French people dont care about Enlish, they are in their own country u should learn french if u go there not expect them to speak your language lol
You should know, though perhaps you already do, that before Aleksandr Pushkin and the upcoming of the Russian intellegentsia, your elite and even your Czar were ashamed of speaking Russian because it was regarded as a "hick talking" ; and guess what language they were using ? French. This is why there are so many references to the French language in the works of the likes of Gogol, Dostoïevski, the early Chekhov, etc. (although they were somehow mocking that commonly spread utmost admiration for the French language and culture among the upper class). It is thus funny to hear from you complaining about the uselessness of learning French while it had such an influence on your entire country, except on the dominated peasant class that shaped the nowadays massive Russian middle class to which you probably belong to. P.S ; From my own experience, I can tell you that the average Russian doesn't master the English language as those Brazilians either...
Those are some "boring" ravers, you dont rave in sunlight in the middle of the street, you go out in the forest at night, bring some kickass lighteffects and music, or an empty house.
You should go to the heavy metal festival in northern Germany called Wacken Open Air. One week long muddy festival with crazy drinking traditions and people from all over the world. Make sure you tell a swede that it's your first Wacken and they'll do a ceremony
