@@ethanang3527 Correct. I think Joe did care Michael. But maybe to some extend he doesn't know how to express his emotional feelings to Michael Jackson. He is not that kind of father that would say directly how much he loves Michael. But as he was still standing here to speak out for MJ's justice. It was clearly that he does care Michael. Otherwise, if he didn't care, he could just sleep at home. And you could also see during that period, Joe was outside and even talked to fans before the trials that he needed help from fans for a justice of Michael's death. He did care.
I see some people who despise him but the truth is that he is the reason for Michael Jackson's career. He disciplined hard but that gave you the King of Pop!
None of the other 4 kids turned out as talented as Michael. Michael became Michael because when he became an adult, he worked to become the greatest entertainer the world has ever seen and that didn't have anything to do with Joe. Joe created the Jackson 5 but Michael Jackson created Michael Jackson. And had Joe let him go to a playground once a week and have fun, I don't think we would have missed out on anything.
Michael said Joe used to strip him, cover him in oil and beat him with iron cords till he almost passed out. That is unforgivable. No money is worth what Michael went through. Its as bad as molestation. So we gonna say its ok if Joe had molested his kids too, as long as they'd become billionares??? No!
@DappaTV and also beat them and emotionally abused them, giving Michael severe anxiety and insecurities, and if MJ wasn't successful his hair wouldn't have caught fire and he wouldn't have died.
I'm sure Joe took it in his own way and cried on his own time. It's his son, of coarse he's gonna be upset. People who say he looks happy, that's bullshit.
REctershi23 23 agree,he s not happy, how could you say happy, his inside deep hurts about his son death, joe trying to be smile but he s hurts inside about the death of his son ,
The day after Michael Jackson died, a reporter asked Joe what his thoughts were and instead of answering the question, he took the opportunity to promote his record label. This was the next day. You're guessing what Joe Jackson did in private because you probably don't have a narcissistic relative and don't understand how evil people can be.
Michael, who was married to Lisa-Marie Presley (daughter of Elvis) for a brief period of time, once told her he feared he'd end up exactly like her father did, dying a broken and miserable man at a relatively young age. Lisa-Marie didn't (or didn't want to) believe it, but in the end, it unfortunately played out almost exactly how Michael described it.
Michael forgave his father not because his father change (which Joe did not). He had to for his own sake. Nothing good comes out of hatred. If he had been presented an option where Joe was a loving father but not as hard as he was, you don’t think he would chose that in a heartbeat?
This comment section is disgusting. Yes Joe had he flaws but Michael forgave him. Joe clearly loved his children but didn't know how to express it. In Michael's book he states the Joe never stole his sons money. Rip MJ and Joe Jackson.
Totally agree. Although we may never know the full picture of what happened behind the scenes as far as money or abuse, what we do know, is that MJ said that he forgave his father, mostly because his father grew up in a similar if not worse household. If Joe Jackson was not who he was, the world might have never heard of the Jackson family and we may have never had the King of Pop - aka best singer/songwriter/entertainer of the century. Even if Joe's actions were not right, back in those days, a lot of children were brought up similarly. I do not advocate for child abuse, but I'm all down for punishment. It is biblical and people treated each other w/ more dignity and respect. Look at the gen-z/millenials right now - it's horrid to watch. MJ was modest, sweet, and a gentleman. He is missed tremendously on and off the world stage 💔
@@LK-sl5fr youre saying if joe wasnt the way he was we wouldve never had the king of pop. But at least Michael wouldnt be traumatised and live a normal happy life. Getting his kids to fame means nothing when the way you get them there is through that force. Have you even seen the other interview done on joe? He was asked about his son and he could not care less and started talking about a new album or some shit. Michael forgives, its what he does. Doesnt mean anything
@@virus3935 have you read Michael's book Moonwalk? He talks about his father there a lot. It's probably the best insight from MJ's perspective we could ever have on the King of Pop and his father. I reccomend you read it. Michael very clearly states in the book that he was never "forced" to do music, he was only forced to be perfect. There is a difference in that.
At the end of the day, Joe Jackson did go to the extreme. He should’ve let his kids be kids and shouldn’t have physically abused them like how they said he did. He did own up to it eventually... It messed up some of his kids mentally. Obviously Michael but if it wasn’t for Joe, there would have never been physically a Michael or the Jackson 5 or they wouldn’t be who we know them as today. Give Joe some bits of credit and respect. He deserves it. It’s not cool some people think he’s completely a rotten man. Even tho he went ballistically berserk on his kids, he had a heart somewhere. RIP to MICHAEL and JOESPH JACKSON
he in no way owned up to it. "i never beat them, i just whooped them a little" does that sound like someone who is accepting the fact that he was an abhorrent, abusive father?
Yes being kids... and then still leaving in a tiny house with no future in Gary Indiana surrounded by drugs and crimes.... If he did that no one would know jackson family... Thanks to him, they had fun by singing and dancing, lots of money and they moved to California in a beautiful big house.
the way he speaks of Blanket (like he sees another Michael in him-meaning he sees money), scares the shit out of me. poor boy. I hope there's someone who can and will protect him, from people like Joe.
I dont care what anyone says This man Joe Jackson had a Dream and took his kids to the top and he did MJ forgave him and besides all Black kids got whooped.
yea i got whopped but i was never scared/terrified of my dad to the point i threw up. michael constantly said how he was terrified of his dad you shouldnt be scared of what your own parent might do to you
@@cinnamrol they all had talent clearly the family was gifted it was a group the Jackson 5/Jacksons not one individual but yes true MJ was the greatest talent and biggest star in the family but I think MJ said his brothers had it worst cause he would use mike as the standard measuring tape Joe would beat them untill they got it right like Michael
No problem come I will beat you daily (practice makes perfection)coz your comment isn't good enough. I can use belt, stick or so, all kinds of instruments and you will be happy about it, that I have improved you, my boy♥️
Majority of these comments are judging Joe Jackson. None of us was there all we know is what we’ve heard. I would like to quotewhat Michael Jackson said about his father. “ instead of focusing on the bad I choose to focus on the good. “ that man taught me everything I know. Direct quotes from Michael Jackson himself. Without Joe Jackson Michael Jackson would not have existed. God is the only one that can judge and I choose to be like Michael I choose love. Rip Michael Jackson and RIP Joseph Jackson.
This might be reaching a bit but when Joe mentions mj telling his mom that they are going to kill him for his publishing, Joe says he didnt find out until Mj was "gone". You Notice he chose that word carefully and avoided the word dead.
Joe was no different than most black fathers that spanked there kids. I think he gets a little too much hate. Maybe a little stricter but there are others out there that are who probably had worse.
I was thankful and angry to Joe. Angry because he did not let Michael have childhood but Thankful because without him and without teaching from him, the world wont see the best thing happen to entertainment ever.
Say what u want about Joe as a father... but in the end he wasn't afraid to tell the truth. He said what others wouldn't MJ was killed for his publishings. PERIOD .He owned half of Sony ATV the largest music publisher in the world. Wrap your head around that.
Katie Potter Sorry honey but getting the belt applied to your ass wasnt abuse growing up in a black household. I was just at a Janet concert and she dedicated part of her show to her dad. None of them would have been anything without that stern and strict upbringing.
TheWavy87 have you ever been abused? I have I was abused as a child by my dad. Getting a belt to the ass was abuse and please bare in mind Michael even admitted joe had beaten them if they had messed up a note or danced wrong. And don’t call me honey cause I ain’t
Joe Jackson, I say Judge Thee (Any Man) or thee will be Judged!! I THANK YOU AND Catherine for your CHILDREN!! Joe and Catherine your Children came along during a time when the "WORLD" "NEEDED " a (DISTRACTION) from HATE!!! Joe and Catherine
Why did this demon live when the angel died. I want to rip his voice out because he sounds like Michael in a way😢I’m so happy that joe died because he’s in hell and Michael’s safe from him in Heaven💗
Woah. Michael said he forgave his father. Don't assume who's in hell because in judgement day Michael will show up and God will ask Michael if he forgives Joe by heart or not.
