@@ruk2023-- no we have a couple old classics but a 32 Ford can handle only so much power before its uncontrollable, uncomfortable and scary even if you do the known suspension upgrades but this chassis seems very stiff, strong and handles like a vette really. Any V8 with a decent trans would perform nicely on that chassis. My opinion only.

@@ruk2023-- It's gotten to the point where it's viewed as a criminal act to take an original car and make it into a hot rod. So real and useable 32 bodies aren't out there like they used to be and original chassis aren't exactly the best for real horsepower. Classic car groups and forums are now starting to take Hollywood producers and directors to task over the destruction of classic cars for the sake of a stunt scene. Directors want a certain look for a scene not realizing they've just removed a surviving classic from the collectors of the world. I guess my wordy point in all of this: over the last 15-20 years, the sentiment to save what's out there, has grown to what it is now. I remember the 80's as a boy, and the practice then was taking really nice original cars and over restoring them. Today, the sentiment is, if it's survivor with faded and bare paint - leave it alone. Clean it up. Fix what needs fixing. Replace the rubber components, and just enjoy an original car as it was built. So it's a great thing that there are companies offering entire frames and bodies so one can build hot rods and customs. Sorry for the TL;DR.

It's nice to see Jay reach out to the street rod community again. I recall back over 30 years ago when Joe's Dad Jerry first started to market Kugel Komponents in a big way in La Habra. I was working in a vintage and hot rod parts shop in BC Canada. I was young but my boss told us that Jerry Kugel was already a bit of a legend in the hobby and signed up our little shop to start offering Kugel's parts on reputation alone. I've seen the business and the family flourish since then. True hot rod legends, all of the family now. They build awesome stuff and I recommend looking up their Bonneville accomplishments. What I really like about that '32 is the sound. it's not just another LS with a blower or turbo charger. It's got the old school rich burble to it combined with the manual transmission it sounds great going thru the gears without being obnoxious. I remember back in the 1970"s people started building street rods with Corvair front suspensions adapted to the '32 frame and using Jag or Corvette independent rear setups but that was before companies were building conversion kits so it was all one off stuff, some worked better than others.

You're missing everything, every fantastic 1920s sedan design, every company, every stylized model only the crem-del-la-crem (probably not the right spelling) rich got to view, all the variety and how it all fit into the world around it. Did you know the 1930s was known for its metallic car trend, it was the new thing in the late 1920s. Terrific rumble. I see Jay wander in the lane but never misses a gear. Ride on.

What a machine! Looks very cool and you can see it drives beautifully, not bouncing around, a credit to Kugel!

Wow, I'm normally a highboy fan but those fenders look great, really emphasize the low down look, great job Joe.

This is one of my all-time favorite hot rods. Almost a "sleeper" in that it so elegatly understated. Perfect!
