Just brilliant! This man was the quintessential entertainer. Loved to entertain and brought joy to all that were fortunate enough to see him perform. His own singing voice would have made him a star, but his uncanny ability to duplicate so many of the greatest singers of our time put him at the super star level. RIP.

As well as having a unique talent he was a truly gifted singer, I would personally say that he was at the very top of his game in the niche market he worked in... No one came close to Joe Longthorne

I find it hard to believe how 18 people could give the thumbs down to this man although there has been lot said about his private life But that’s none of our business it’s the man and his amazing talent that we should appreciate this man had cancer but still performed And yes sometimes Ive seen him perform and I felt so sorry because he must’ve been full of painkillers And I’m speaking From experience The big C nearly took my life.But he wanted to perform so let’s judge the man by his amazing talent And have sympathy and understanding for the terrible pain he must’ve been going through rest in peace Joe

Amazing to me is the thought of you rising to the top of your profession through the voices of others. The first video I ever saw of you was one in which the impersonations were your act. You were of similar age, as in this video, and I loved the people you were doing impressions of...all full voiced, iconic singers...and you were fabulous! I thought to myself, even then, but why are they not hearing that within those impressions is a voice that MUST come out on its own and be appreciated, if not lauded! No one can do that type of act without having a spectacular voice and incredible range themselves...especially when incorporating two of the most storied ladies of Jazz and Pop, Cleo Laine & Shirley Bassey!!! So...hiding within those impressions was one of the finest voices I' had ever heard and, of course, you did fulfill your destiny and became the Joe Longthorne we all came to love! No longer, Joe Longthorne, Impressionist....just Joe Longthorne. That Joe Longthorne became the world's finest singer & most beloved entertainer! It seemed you had taken a long and circuitous route to stardom but...then again...it's just another part of the musical prowess you've given us and I'd be willing to bet there isn't a soul out there that would have it any other way at this point. We, the greatest listeners of the world, have no idea what it takes to break in and break through to show business. I just know it's a tough business, not only to get in to but to stay in, year after year and decade after decade and I'm grateful for any device that got you here to us...the people who adore you! You remember the popular song "Get Here" by Oleta Adams...and others as well! Well Joe..you definitely Got Here...and I'm so glad!
