@@chenugent Try squeezing both sides of your bottom jaw as hard as you can and feel how much pain you feel. Now imagine a force 50 times stronger than that.
Mr A oh crap yeah that would be painful. I was always so intrigued by khabibs “I wanna change his face” line and was always wondering what part of the fight he attempted to do it. Now I finally know, Connor was lucky!
@@chenugent Yeop. That boy was mad. His ground and pound in the 3rd and 4th round was basically him trying to screw his face up and then you saw Herb Dean having to yank him out of the choke 😂
I've had my ribs broken, my arm hyper extended to the point it "popped " and my ankle dislocated...none of it hurt like the first time I got caught in a neck crank. The pressure on my jaw was so painful that I didn't even have time to think about defending it and immediately tapped. Everything Joe said is 100% accurate. Conor actually held on longer than most would for how he was defending it poorly and the fact it's Khabib of all fighters that had him caught. I could only imagine how painful that is when it's Khabib applying it. Make no mistake about it, he wanted Conor to suffer 😂
@@g29000 damn, that's unfortunate, but I can see how that would happen. It's a brutal way to get submitted. But that guy shouldn't have pulled that much, because he should know it doesn't take much pressure to make somebody tap from that.
Some people also said that Khabib purposely threw the first 2 rounds. He could've ended the fight there, but he wanted Conor to suffer, that was why he made the third round a striking match. Those made me realized Khabib was waiting for that neck crank.
l3054 even without grappling he would kill you in 5 seconds I don’t know why your talking shit about one of the best fighters of all time and I’m not even a khabib fan lol
Bruce lee once said " Don't fear a man with 1000 techniques but fear those who perform 1 technique 1000 times." Khabib is perfect example. He simply trained in his grapling to the point no one has been able to defend from it and he clearly became two step above everyone.
Perfectly said. He's also no slouch as a striker too, he stayed up and traded blows with the likes of pourier and gaethje and looked perfectly comfortable.
@@zachnelson8172 yeah ikr. His striking is very underrated and his striking don't get much credit it deserves. He won many striking exchange against conor and even dropped him. He went toe to toe with strikers like Dustin and gaethj to the point he looked completely fine and even won few exchanges against them.
1 thing every single person misses is khabibs leg hold during the chocke, so Conor has 0 balance. If he holds both hands on khabibs arm he would just fall flat on his face.. His arms on the ground are stopping that so that's why he never tried to defend the crank.. Khabibs leg working is next level
@ McGregor did give him recognition to people who don't know UFC, as McGregor is like an icon of UFC, but when it comes to recognition of a who is the better fighter, Khabib takes that from a UFC fan perspective (I can see that even though I don't know much about UFC, plus I'm not a talking from a UFC fan perspective, I just can see that's the truth)
@@Lemontarts01 you don't disrespect someone family, faith and expect to get away with it. Trash talk is fine but there's a line that you cannot crossed. Conor crossed the line, it is what it is kid. Everyone gangster untill a real gangster walk in 💯

Yeah, another fighter might have taken it a little easy but Khabib wanted to hurt Conor. He was daring him not to tap so he could dislocate that jaw and grind it into dust.
khabib didnt choke him he squeezed conors jaw he said that in an interview in russian...its rare but if you get it and squeeze the jaw the oponent is in incredible pain like its going to break
Been there, it was my second BJJ class, I thought that if I didn't give the neck I would be able to defend the choke, but then the pain and pressure on my jaw was horrendous, I had to tap as fast if not faster than if it was a neck choke
Conor did not tap early at all, Khabib was daring him to not tap so he could dislocate his jaw and grind it to dust. Khabib wanted to hurt Conor for the things he said and he would have if the ref didn't separate them because Khabib was not letting go after the tap.
Jrock420blam he wants to hurt him because of the bus attack and saying he would not get off the busZ he was highly offended by that. Stated this in Russian interview two days after fight
@@aunttelly I know exactly why Khabib wanted to break Conor's jaw and he deserved it. I don't blame Khabib at all. Would have been fun watching Conor try to trash talk with his jaw wired shut.
Jrock420blam oh I wasn’t saying you cared with either way. I don’t think injuries should be given out of anger, but he just stated he wanted to change his face in interviews. He had a right to be pissed off though. Glad herb dean was at least there to pry him off conor. Herb didn’t enforce rules at all that night except for that
I was laughing so hard when people were saying like you are talking about one of the greatest grapplers in the world having him in of the most powerful chokes there is after 4 rounds of fighting how is that premature?
You're an idiot, and Rogan is just pandering to connies fanboys. Most powerful choke? Not even close. He didn't even have it in 100% correctly, and he didn't even attempt to defend. Everything about that is premature. He was looking for a way out the entire time, why you think he cheating the 7, 8, 9 or so times in the match. He knew he was underskilled as he is against any top opponent when they get a fair shake.
Conor fans were like : "Conor will knock Khabib out in 10 sec because every fight starts standing" _10 sec into round one: Conor's ass is on the floor via a takedown _ 10 sec into Round tow: Conor's ass is on the floor via a knockdown _ Round three: Khabib never even bothered to wrestle and stood the whole round _Round 4 : Murr Murr Murr Murr
Dude dumb and blind fool he grab him the whole time wrestlers can’t fight all they know how to do is touch all over you till they get a head lock. And this is what the public like. Oh I forgot most of the world is gay now yo dad ain’t never tell in a fight go strait for the grab he said knock him out point blank
Petrius Maximus : That’s not the point if he’s scared to go face first into the ground. It’s simple leverage: If Conor cannot post against the ground, Khabib is going to push him to the ground (Wrestling 101), and get an even better advantage there where Conor’s bellying out. From there, a neck crank, a RNC, or more ground and pound WITHOUT any defense is possible. Conor was done either way.
A couple points to notice. In defense to Connor he had his left arm posted because he was trying to return to a base. Khabib was locking up his legs during most of the fight. Everyone can say what they would of done different, but that choke came in quick. Second observation: you can see the beautiful technique that Khabib has that other people don't. He channels all the force from his body into one point. He even uses his head positioning to channel that energy.
The "Oh he shouldn't have tapped" or "BJJ doesn't work, I'd just stand up" mentality from people who don't train is what drove me away from following MMA for a long time. I didn't train either, but my mentality was "I don't know what that feels like, and there's no way these pro fighters are going to use shit that doesn't work." so while I didn't know what was going on exactly, I didn't act like I *did* know. I started training BJJ with a friend recently, and he taught me how to do an armbar, kimura, and a rear naked choke. Not that I'm proficient with them, but when you even just *practice* this stuff, you realize that these moves are designed to do maximal damage and pain with minimal effort. An armbar can break someone's elbow with a few inches of hip movement. A kimura can pop a shoulder out with surprisingly little effort, and a rear naked choke feels fucking terrible, and the pain from it can last for days (in my case, at least), not to mention that you'll only be awake for *maybe* 10 seconds once a good choke is locked in. This ain't tai chi, kiddos.
As a blue belt in Jiu Jitsu with 10 years of experience, I can fight chokes for a while but there’s no way I could stand up or anything. The secret is to move as little as possible to preserve the oxygen in your muscles. Either grip the arm that’s choking you and pry it off or wait till they try to reset the choke to explode out of it. That’s really the only way to defend chokes, there’s more of course depending on what type of choke but still.
How many MMA "experts" on YT, have even taken a class, much less competed in ANY kind of martial art, or combat sport like judo, wrestling, boxing, etc.? I have no love for Conor, but if you think he tapped too soon, you should be in the UFC wearing that belt.
got a brown belt at 10th planet SF. this was a 'jaw crusher' which is just a setup if you can't get under the chin. easily defended. It's like tapping to a body triangle. If you tap to a body triangle, you are a quitter.
I tapped to a neck crank my first grappling glass. It was painful, I never experienced anything like that before. Thought my chest was gonna cave in at the same time my head was getting ripped off. Good times.

Photonic Field um why would he do that? Conor should have done that then when he was champ and go fight Tyron Woodly then right? Gtfo and stop discrediting Khabib
@Photonic Field "Test himself". Dude, 155 is literally killer after killer. Khabib is not a big LW, by any means. T-Wood would never make 155. Same for some of those other big bois there.
It's not uncommon to have people panic tap when this kind of choke goes on. You might hear a gristly crunching noise from the inside of your head at the top of your spine, it's hard not to freak out
i agree, getting choked is total panic but here i think he was just done. Too tired, spirit crushed, huge painful choke. Dude had to tap. Also he was terrified during the whole fight, you could feel it.
@@drunkenmmamaster419 Connor is good at press, making noise and throwing insults. He was a awesome fighter at one point but I think khabibs has bar none on ground game. I don’t watch mma just the hi lights mostly but once he’s on the ground I think wrestling bears just made him immune to human strength against him
I have watched the fight 3-4 times and everytime starting from when the fighters were coming into the stadium. You can easily see nervousness on Conor's face. Even when Bruce Buffer introduced him and he did the McMahon walk, he looked so out of it. He was afraid of Khabib.
🤣🤣 What a load of crap that is. That just goes to show that Khabib is a much superior level of a martial artist than Conor. It's about the mind as well kid. I love Conor. He's a legend in the game. But you have to see the reality and not just your fantasies to see that Khabib is just better.

After the fight was class? No. If Khabib didn't quit like a pussy he would've gotten smashed like he deserves. It took him 4 rounds to submit someone who can't wrestle or defend submissions. Keep being a cuck just because he believes the same backwards cult as you
The reason why we remember Muhammed Ali, and Mikey Tyson, and still talk about them today. Is because altough skill and class are crucial components. You also need the trash talk and "fake confidence", to really become one of the Greats. Without Connors trash talk, noone would even care about Khabib today. It was Connors mouth was what brought in the viewers and the attention. Sure its an act, but it is also a crucial part of the sport. If you want to become one of the greatest.
He didnt defend it because he was using all the strength he had in his arm to hold him up from khabibs weight on top of him. If he had to defend it with both his hands, he'd fall over and khabib would get the choke from the back mount anyway. There was no option there for him to win in that position with the exhaustion and pain inflicted
@@zeroonezero6270Yeah it’s still gonna to be difficult but it’s the lesser of 2 evils. You’re much better off in that position atleast than losing your balance entirely
@@kinGsaL1515 that’s not what I was arguing. Rogan was questioning why Connor didn’t put his hands under Khabib’s arms to prevent the choke. Others are making fun of Connor for not doing so. I was pointing out that Poireir a black belt in BJJ did the same thing as Connor, yet nobody is questioning what Poirier was doing. I also wasn’t disagreeing with you. That and I did mma for 20 years, so I’m aware of the predicament you’re mentioning.
@@kinGsaL1515 Also, I just want to point out that Khabib won’t let Connor fall face down completely. If you look closely he’s sitting on him sort of like a chair. Khabib wants to be able to lean back on the neck crank/choke while Connor’s legs are flat - So, he can wrench into it more. If Connor doesnt tap you’ll see Khabib fulcrum pulling Connor’s head up while his back will be bent like a bow and his legs trapped flat while sitting on him like a chair. He was going to break everything from jaw to back and choke him at the same time.
I had a wrestling coach put me in what I guess was a fulcrum choke. Truly, it doesn't require that much pressure to make your head feel like it's going to pop and all your teeth are going to fall out. I've messed around showing it to some friends and every time I barely apply the hold before I ask if it hurts. Every time, the guy I'm demonstrating on has said it was enough.
it was bullshit though. They showed dean lister talking about a fulcrum choke, which is legit, with his forearm on the back. Khalabeeb had his wrist on conor's shoulder, not his forearm on the back. This was conor and khalabeeb dickriding, not informative. This was not a neckcrank or a choke, it was a 'jaw crusher' which is easily defended. like tapping to a body triangle.
@@34672rr It was literally the same choke/crank. Only reason it looks slightly different is because khabib's hips were blocked by the cage. Forearm still pushing hard against the backside of Connor's shoulder.
@@murffly I know that choke well, your forearm has to be perpendicular to the back, thus much more in skin to skin contact than just the wrist on shoulder. the way khalabeeb has it,there is not much leverage at all. it's neither a choke nor crank, as it's neither under the chin or cranking the head laterally at all. poor technique by both of them. Both a white belt level at BJJ. khalabeeb with all of his ground control, only has weak subs and KO's in the UFC
Love some Rogan. There are a lot of things we don’t see eye to eye on, but my god his passion and willingness to learn, better and change himself is inspiring. Even more so he does all that while still maintaining who he his as person it’s very admirable to see him do that and walk that line for as long as he has.
"all those folks out there saying that 'it wasnt a choke' need to go have someone apply that to them." absolute truth. under the chin or across the jaw, dont matter. either way youre gettin fucked up.
@Mark Wright In a street fight, I believe Conor wil get evaporated brother, because at that time you can carry a human being and crush his head on the floor or simply just rip his dick off. I gave you this answer just to prove to you that what you are imagining is not logic and it's impossible to predict just a thing ..
@@Cruyv in a street fight Khabib would get stabbed. Game over for the dagestani wrestler. If you feel the need for more - Check the streets for real info.
Man! you guys Didn't noticed that Kabib was on Conors body.. That's why Connors left hand was down to save his body not to fall down.. The way Khabib hold Connors neck, if accidentally Connor fell down, his neck might get broken.. Just have a close look at that footage again..
Nobin's World A strong man would be able to withstand another person leaning on them like that without using their hands, I bet money Kabib would be able to in conners shoes. However, Conner was already too fucked up to try and defend that hold.
@@DrBees-ms2vt no amount of physical strength could save someone from that hold. Khabib was leaning on him and had conans legs locked and the cherry on top was that he was leaning on him. Conan had no other leverage than his hand. It was over whether he taped or not, the only difference would be the damage to his jaw.
Having had that choke done to me in sparring it feels like your jaw is going to seperate from your head, it hurts alot and the choke comes on pretty quick as well.
I think if you just watch the tap, you missed out on the context. Round 1 and 2 Conner spent the entire round on his back or against the cage with khabib putting his shoulder and head into connors sternum. Round 3 was more of a boxing match, but it ended with khabib putting all his weight into connor's chest again. Spend 10+ minutes with your lungs collapsed and then get choked like that, he was probably already seeing stars.
Conor it's only business was giving up his back b4 the choke squeeze he didn't want to fight anymore after all the bs talk blue lips blue lips lmao i loved it
he tapped to a jaw crusher, not a choke, wasn't even a neck crank. and didn't even defend it, thats premature. funny how joe is talking about breaking a jaw with that, then demian maia and oleksey oleinik would crush jaws left and right.
@Mixedhero yeah, clearly. I am clearly not a brown belt at 10th planet SF. I clearly have never been in a jaw crusher before. The funny thing is it's not even a 'fulcrum choke' that dean lister explains. khalabeeb's wrist is on conor's shoulder, not his forearm on the back. Joe is just conor dickriding as usual. and khalabeeb dickriding. This was not a neck crank, nor a choke. It was a 'jaw crusher' which NO ONE taps to unless you don't have hands. This is nothing more than a setup when you can't get under the chin. To tap to this is like tapping to a body triangle.
@Mixedhero look like my post got cut off. I was trying to say this is nothing more than a setup if you can't get under the chin. no one taps to this, it's like tapping to a body triangle
The reason why Connor couldn't defend with both arms is because not only is it a Fulkrum Choke, but Khabib is not in the back sitting position that was shown in that Dean Lister video. Khabib is on top of Connor with one leg of Conner tied up with his. Khabib is also pressing Connor forward with his whole body. So if Connor's left hand is fighting the choke, he is face planting into the ground with an even worse pressure from the choke. The submission was perfect by Khabib. Once he sunk it in, there was no defending against it.
Not entirely true. I did mma for 20 years. For it to be a true fulcrum choke as you call it, then Khabib will not let Connor fall completely face down. Khabib’s left arm (fulcrum) will push down and his right arm will pull up but in a wringing motion and Khabib will sit up and lean back some to lock Connor’s back out while pulling his head up. That’s what makes it a neck crank a little more than a choke.
Just take in what khabib said before the fight when asked how he wants to win against Conor, “I want to play with him, make him tired and make him tap, I don’t wanna knock him out because then the critics will say I got lucky” & that’s exactly what he did !
Jahaaja but man joe Rogan is low key insulting Connarmcregor it's perfect example that you can't trust anyone these day's bcz when you fall every person / you know will try to step on you.
he was gonna break conner's jaw if conner didn't tap for all the idiots who think it was premature. Conner didn't have the energy to defend or to fight him off.
Both fights he gave his neck!! He was scared to get knocked out because he was finished and gassed!!! Seams like his bail out plan when hes getting smashed up.
Conor talks alot everyone knows that but anyone wud tap with kabib choking them out me u nobody wud understand how much that wud hurt unless u experienced it from kabib
This fight was just pain for so many Conor fanboys that actually made me even more joyous lmao Don't get me wrong Conor helped taking the UFC to another level but that was just his personality and ability to sell a fight, not because he was an all time great fighter which a lot of his fans failed to understand until Khabib
There were a lot of wayz and opportunities for khabib to finish this fight. He took his time Nd really relished torturing sleepy McG, and finishing him in tbe most painful way he could in the moment.
Dont you think with a grip as strong as Khabibs aka the kid who used to wrestle bears, that technique to get out of that choke just wouldn't work? Because what it does it loosen the grip but with Khabib i dont think there is 'loosening his grip' once hes locked on theres no escape, and you know when you got someone in a lock they're not escaping from.
@@idonthaveaname4911 ??? What??? He was talking about how Conor couldn't take it and it was a hell of a neck crank which hurts like hell. He didn't tap prematurely means he tapped because he couldn't handle the choke. Watch the video next time before you comment.
RuFactor i have watched this video 5 or so times and exactly these khabib fanboys like to act like the choke didn’t hurt and conor could defend it easily
He also got connor off balance and the natural reaction is to post on your arms so he.doesnt face plant the canvas with khabib on his back. If he weren't in such a precarious position his first reaction would probably be both hands on the chocking arm. That's a very funked position he had Connor in. Not only is he off balance and getting choked and having his jaw crushed, it's also very hard for him to breathe because of the way he has his body stretched backwards like that. He would be suffocating like that. Look at the way his spine is being curved backwards. He would be feeling like he can't get any air and he's suffocating in that position especially after the way he was getting a beating just before then. He definitely didn't tap prematurely. I don't think he was blacking out but definitely in pain and feeling like suffocating.
I work at a gas station and I box on the side. The day of the fight I asked every customer who they had for the fight. 100% of them said McGregor would win, and I was the only one to say Khabib would win . It was weird, the day after everyone is saying how amazing Khabib is. Lmao
That's the average casual MMA fan, but I mean honestly all they had to do was look at the odds. Also, in McGregor's best form, he could have made it a decent fight. He was somewhat washed at this point, filthy rich from Maymac, you could argue he was already a shell of his former hungry self.
@@ceedub3966 hey! You responded after 2 years , at the time he was very well known and people assumed because of Jose and Eddie he would be an underdog or something but yeah he was already unfocused at that point and khabib was unstoppable.
I would have tapped about 3 seconds earlier than Connor, it was obvious he wasnt getting out and Khabib is a monster. I would have tapped just to avoid the inevitable pain.
