For anyone wondering, Rogans first Spotify deal was exclusively with Spotify. His new deal allows him to upload back on RU-vid. He’s just uploading all his old Spotify podcasts onto RU-vid since he can now.
I retired from the LAPD in Hollywood division. I met a ton of celebrities…….in their natural habitats. Nobody despises celebrities more than I do….. BUT. …….. Dave Chapelle is on my very very very short list of people/celebrities that I would actually drive in traffic, wait in a long line and pay good money to see live. And, I did just that about a year ago. My wife, daughter and I saw Him in DC and I fucking loved every second of it. Not just because he is the funniest dude on earth. When a person is genuinely a good soul……a good human being……you can sense it. Dave Chapelle seems like one righteous dude.
THIS is what we need more of. Honest, sincere, disinterested, insightful, real talk. Two intelligent strong and still caring men with no pretense, no agenda. Role models for men of any age. If my son turned out like these guys, I would be proud. Thank you
@@johnnybarron2474 Joe rogan "ive seen more 1v1 fights than anybody ive seen so many people get fucked up haha" short time later Joe again "i like to hunt to rip apart animals" also later "i love comedy it lets me travel around" ive been watching Dexter Joe is 100% a serial killer aHHHHHHHHHHH!
What a great analogy! It's a rare internet conversation, and there are some good ones, that can evoke such an emotional memory. Respect to you for your depiction!
I’m not even 10 mins in and Chappelle is sharing heavyweight thoughts of experience… “if you look at life through the framework of money you’ll miss most of the picture…” That was awesome.
@FirstNumber1 circumstance is irrelevant money has its own energy and if you can tune your mind to the same frequency as money you can attain it whether you're poor or not. Smart people become reach incredibly stupid people get rich poor people get rich those that are born rich can stay rich just as easy as they can become poor. Your relationship with money and how you look at money plays a heavy roll in finance
@@grandreveler2730 you know that’s complete bullshit right? Look at the numbers… numbers don’t lie… one’s personal experience isn’t the norm… you can’t fung schwei your way to wealth. 99.9% of people born into poverty, die in poverty… same with rich people…. There’s very little upward or downward mobility…. Again the numbers don’t lie… There’s exceptions to anything but the norm is the norm and the numbers are the numbers
@@FirstNumber1still, u miss the point the more u chase money the more u realise when u have it that ur life was all empty. So learn to live happily regardless.
“The bottom line is no matter what happens to you, you got to keep going; and bitterness is quite cumbersome. Jokes is a way of shaking that off, processing something with the alchemy of levity.” Daaamn Dave
@georgehathaways4599 there's few reasons actually, when a person is stressed, their body releases adrenaline, which can lead to more mucus in the airways or when the body is under "stress", it releases histamine, which can worsen a runny nose. Pandas are known to do it when stressed out. I was about 10yrs old when a neighborhood incident happened (I believe it was a kid that got picked up by "someone" while they were playing with other kids outside) and when being asked a series of questions I recall feeling a lot of energy, being restless but not in a fearful way. I do remember being offered tissues because I kept sniffing from a runny nose. Now I know it's from stress/ anxiety/ nervousness, etc. ...but could be cocaine, too. Who knows. 🤷♀️
It’s so refreshing and reassuring to hear smart, funny and analytical people have a conversation. In a society that glorifies the Kardashians and is obsessed with sexuality, it brings hope to my heart to know that not everyone is dumb AF.
I love Dave Chappelle, one of the first real moments I realized I loved comedy in general was Chappelle in Robin Hood men in tights. Now I know he wasn't insulting anyone or being offensive but he kept claiming he is good at "this" meaning standup in response to other comedians answers to pandemic workarounds. Yet he is literally known for not only be a remarkably perfect standup comedian, but an actor, and sketch show master. He was like claiming he is singularly skilled when he literally is the comedy goat...
"My memories are some of the most valuable things I have.” Chappelle is one of the most insightful comedians of our time. In fact, he's one of the most insightful people of our time.
Listening to the intelligently humble way Chappelle speaks on unexpected life experiences and his outlook on the environment around him, is life changing if you pay attention to his words. He never gloats. Hes unapologetically and brilliantly honest. He knows who he is in the world, yet also knows everybody squats to shit. People can definitely learn a lot just by listening to him talk.
My personal reminder, literally, "...we all...shit". Mostly while admiring a gorgeous woman, flawless from every perspective. Who happens to be made from pure evil and vengeful wrath on the inside.
What's great about these re-uploads is that they show you how you have grown because in listening all over again you pick up something new you didn't catch the first time you heard it.
I’m absolutely certain this has already been said over the decade. But this podcast is so attractive/influential/and inspiring to ME bc I find it difficult to find real, authentic, and heartfelt conversation anywhere, where we can freely explore and ask questions. I feel like I’m having that conversation with Joe. Thanks Joe.
I was saying this has to be old and they just released it. Just the way they're talking about covid and the economy, shits a lot worse now just without a weaponized virus 😂
I spent half a year in Oklahoma twenty years ago, and it was much the same. Small town, and everyone waved as you passed by. Doesn't happen nearly as often where I live near a big city in Tennessee.
No my friend. We live in a day were we cannot handle the truth. This is why politicians win, they lie. Dont blame the politicians, blame the people. People will not vote for people who dare to tell the truth. Its not all black and white either. The world is mostly grey. But the grey stay out the way
Nice to hear good conversation from smart people that is "pure". Always genuine, honest, trustworthy, unconditionally insightful with a comical view. That's a positive for me.
Masters of true conversation. U know one talks, The Other One Listens!!! Actually remembering what the other one says and commenting to evoke a sense of comprehension and respect, for the purpose of continuing said conversation… The world IS due for our next recycling event (humans, priorities,) just exchanging one for the other till we all join together. Conversations INCLUDE arguments. There are many good arguments also nice to watch. People Who Communicate are Necessary 😊
Dang the first second out the gate and Chapelle drops a wisdom gem "I processed it with the alchemy of levity" - Dave Chappelle on the concept of trauma/injustice
"This is what we're faced with-- our personalities get Yelped." Holy shit. I know that was a throwaway comment off-the-cuff, but that is so fucking spot on.
This is exactly the kind of genuine, insightful conversation we need more of - two solid guys just having real talk without any hidden agendas. If the kids can grow up with role models like them, we’re doing something right. And props to Dave Chappelle for being such a down-to-earth guy.
The good thing about these old podcasts dropping is you decide to listen to them again, and maybe you’re distracted or whatever, but you forget or somehow miss how good they were in the first instance. This was one of those.
I love the fact that Dave points out the insanity of choosing to no longer be friends with someone because of how they vote. He could take a side, he could further the divide, he chooses not too. Much respect to Dave for taking the side of humanity. The way our corrupt media has been able to divide Americans so much is one of the saddest things I've ever witnessed. I've lost respect for many well known people who encourage the divide even though it's tearing the country apart. It doesn't matter which side you're on or if it's neither, you should recognize the manipulation that is going on. Nobody should support people that push division, those people have an agenda, they are the enemy.
and all those people claiming their 'side' is the only way to save the country, and the other is going to ruin it, neither seeming to want to face the fact that neither side is going to help anything, really. We need a full reset, and adjustment to how things work before anything will actually change for the better.
Yeah if it’s really just because of how they vote but I’ve broken it off with ppl that are just insane with believing all the lies from their tv. One, I brought the receipts proving what she was fed by msm was a lie she screamed everything I’m saying is a lie. I broke it off right then and there. I can’t be friends that can’t think for themselves and get so emotional they ride the edge of insanity. Same folks that bragged how they jumped ahead of thousands of ppl in line for clot shot.
100% The media constantly pushes hate and fear against the other party. Making EVERYTHING political. I hate it. Dividing us daily. And if you watch everyday, you become brainwashed to one side and can't see 1% of the other side. Get out of the echo chamber people. Life is great! AMERICA IS GREAT, no matter who is president.
1:47:29 such genuinely true words. These men are the best. So grateful to live in an age where I can watch and learn mountains of information, while being entertained at the same time. Thank you, gentleman.
JAMIE IS GENIUS!!! The release date on all of these recent uploads say from past years, which means Jamie saved them and posted them privately so that when the Spotify deal changed, all he had to to do was change the podcast episodes from “private” to “public” instead of reuploading them individually
First of all, Dave Chapelle! 5 days ago ?!! I checked Spotify and I was like how can I miss that and there’s nothing there, no Dave Chappelle episode. Come back to RU-vid and this is episode 1641 so is this old? What is going on? I don’t care it’s Dave Chappelle. Play! 🎉🎉🎉
Yea from 2021 I had to double check that too because right at the beginning he says “I’m tired of all this Rona talk” and corona hasn’t been. A subject in a long time
@@chronicillz1879who cares... They're making very valid points that are still very valid. We just want want on suggesting we need to suggest our current options to as if Dave Chappelle once said wrap it up!!!!!!!!!
+3hrs of a non-scripted conversation and i could not stop watching. This is as close as how real you know a celebrity is. YT needs more of this type of content. Thank you Rogan / Chappelle.
Truly one of the BEST Rogan podcasts. Two old friends, sharing stories of their aging together, while living in the same world as the rest of us. A crazy uncertain world wobbling on its axis while humanity sits perched on top trying to hold on, grasping to what's familiar, and binding pieces of the new normal together to survive.
I’m glad this popped up on my feed. Feels like it’s new because of the truth that is being told which is what is happening right before out very own eyes. These two are legends
joe, i put your interviews at night, because i am in pain from a crash i had while riding, this is the only way to sleep, while nothing else worked. thanks for keeping it interesting and real! i wish you the best
This whole thing played without commercial and I loved that!!! I even left out several times and came back and whenever I pressed play again it played without commercial ❤❤❤❤
First listen to this whole podcast. I've heard/seen chopped up sections here and there. Down to earth these two are! Best 3 hour conversation I've ever listened to.
This isn’t even on Spotify. How are they going to shadow ban DAVE mf CHAPELLE on Joe Rogan . 5 days up and it’s only now showing up? Can’t even find it on his channel.
Wow, I figured it was on Spotify and I just hadn't checked it out yet. Surprised that it is not even on Spotify but yet somehow on RU-vid. Doesn't make a lot of sense because RU-vid is horrible with their censorship but I will say another thing that just popped through in the last day or so on my feed is Robert f Kennedy Jr interview with Joe Rogan. Not sure how long they shadow ban that but it just showed up in my feed either today or yesterday. I truly enjoyed it and sent it to many friends. Every American should have to watch that or should watch that so they know about the man and not just what they've been told about him.
It is on Spotify. It's an old podcast he uploaded all his old podcasts back to RU-vid all you got to do is look at the episode number on the description...
I met Dave in LAX waiting for my mom. He walked up to the limo drivers holding signs and at first I thought he was joking like every other person who walked up to them pretending to be the person on their sign. Then I looked at the limo driver signs and saw Chappelle. This was back in his Chappelle show days. He ended up staying there talking to all of us for a while until his wife came up. Super genuine guy. Naturally funny. I had him sign the Hare Krishna book I just bought from some guy at the airport.
Gandhi has detailed his sexual experiments in his book and memoirs which are all well documented. As an Indian I'm definitely not gonna support that, however he did do what he did, free a nation and live by what he preached(freedom struggle non violence and all). It only goes on to show that icons were afterall human beings who had their flaws. They weren't Gods. Period.
God is fiction. Guys like Gandhi are better than gods, because they inspired people to have courage and do what's necessary. And as an Indian, all this talk about his sexual shit is overhyped by backward unintelligent people and is totally unimportant, the fact that he recorded his intellectual experiences is a fact that it's just the sign of those times. People like Gandhi did enough to earn everybody's respect. You being triggered by 2 comedians, makes You Mr Axe effect the comedian, and i don't mean that as a compliment. I have a big problem with people pretending to be smart. Maybe coz I'm manic. Period.
@@anonymous4tfoi lol ! what side of bed did you wake up bro? Chill out! I absolutely respect Gandhi and his achievements, in fact in my college years I asked a rep( maalti Taai) from his ashram in Gujarat to come and give a talk in our college about his relevance to the youth of India.
JRE has been having some BANGERS lately. I'm also just seeing this for the first time in my feed today (July 3), and RU-vid says "6 days ago". Just watched the Terrence Howard / Eric Weinstein one yesterday. Excited to watch this one today. Dave Chapelle is GOATed.
Dave is one of the most brilliant, educated and well-rounded, humble and loveable people I have the privilege of knowing. Him and Joe are without a doubt the only celebrities I can wholeheartedly and proudly call my heroes. There is a lot to learn from this conversation alone. I really needed the excitement I felt from this episode. I'm so grateful for this.
I enjoyed all 3 hrs of this. Chappelle is just as informative and entertaining as Rogan.. I grew u on the Chappelle show, so alot of fond memories and skit references rattling around in my brain.. I really would enjoy a Dave Chappelle pod cast but he probably don't wanna do that stressful shit.. lol.. but this world needs more people like these two talking about all the truly IMPORTANT SHIT. Most of things in life should be handled and viewed this way.. that's important
