I am a 52 yr old life long student with a B.S. in Environmental Science with an emphasis in geology, hydrogeology and soil science. I have over 25 years of practical work experience, mostly studying retail gasoline properties that have discharged all kinds of petroleum products into the subsurface for one reason or another. I have worked in many diverse geomorphical areas throughout the northeastern U.S. I still have A LOT to learn! I have listened to Randall Carlson speak several times. Sometimes with open minded people like Joe and Graham, other times with sceptics who tend to be arrogant, dismissive and very defensive of their beliefs. Often, they do not present their theories and ideas with anywhere near the elegance, class, humility, and clarity of Mr. Carlson. I am baffled that his theories on the scabland floods are not accepted by more academics? I have never heard anyone present evidence that debunks his theories with any real conviction? Keep at it Randall, you are a special person and a rare breath of fresh air in the stench of stale academia.
No one has time to rebut over generic ramblings on podcasts. He rants on about people saying “climate change denier”, but who really cares about that label? He needs to make a real claim and present the evidence in a compact and explicit form, you know, a paper. Prepare a paper and submit it for review. Become a scientist instead of a podcaster. Frankly, he doesn’t because he is floating about charging windmills and fighting straw men.
I could listen to Randall for ever. What a dedicated, legendary man to his field. In years to come, maybe long after Randall and the rest of us are gone, he will be remembered as the guy who was right.
Joe doesn’t lay traps for his guests. He doesn’t proceed with a list of “gotcha”questions meant to embarrass and discredit his guests. He doesn’t constantly interrupt his guests in the middle of their explanations, or right when they’re about to make a point. He’ll disagree, but never dismiss or attack. He listens to understand, not to respond. He lets his guests talk, instead of dominating the interview with his own opinions or positions. This is why he’s becoming one of the most followed interviewers. People like Cathy Newman need to get the memo.
who's Cathy Newman? Or have I made your point? And YES Joe is an excellent interviewer ~ even when he is excited and eager to jump in he knows how to insert himself into dialogue seamlessly
@@clivewells1736the one with both of them felt a bit awkward. He kept talking about his next conversation instead of that day. He just felt a bit off from his previous visits.
This is literally awesome. Joe, a guy who has built his career in mma, holds one of the best interviews with a historian I have ever seen. So so engaging.
It's free because he'd have a hard time finding anybody to pay for it. The whole Younger Dryas Impact theory is unsubstantiated (not to say it isn't true) and inconsistent with global evidence, and some of the later stuff he gets into is just flat out silly (everything after he picks up the calculator.)
It’s so beautiful watching and listening to such an engaging and interesting discussion between two guys from completely different backgrounds. Joe’s guests bring such fascinating topics that bring us all together ❤️
Let's not overlook the bit where Randall spoke to something he didn't know much about, acknowledged that fact, and thanked Joe for pointing him to a paper to learn more. This is how we should handle gaps in our own knowledge instead of faking it or ignoring others studies. What a great example this gentleman is!

Yo, Degrasse Tyson and Randall Carlson discussing the details of the asteroid together would be no doubt hugely beneficial and interesting for those two aswell as Joe and all of us!
We'll see, won't we dude :) It's an old video but if Joe or his fellow freak-bitches sees this - they could well be interested and arrange it! I choose to be an optimist despite going through a lot of traumatic events in life thus far. There is still too much intrigue and too much beauty in the world for me to be pessimistic... I read a book once, blew my fckng mind about ancient historical archeological sites. Im not sure who was the author but its was same as listening to this podcast, just reading till you fall asleep. Crazy shit.
Probably because everything Graham and Randall say has been massively debunked, Grahams Amazon show is nothing but made up fairy tales, I got sucked in by both of them, until I did my homework, nothing they say adds up unfortunately, they both twist the truth to make us think there is this big conspiracy, it all sounds good, and so believable, but so easily debunked
Totally get you, I’m in the same boat. Frustrating as hell. If only we could all go to a pub and have a drink and a chat about all this kind of stuff ⭐️

ME TOO!! I found this episode 3 years ago and I have been "deep diving" ever since. Be sure to watch Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson together here on JRE. Amazing material, very well documented.
This man had a debate on Joe Rogan not too long ago. It was very Good and Randall, In my opinion came out much better off. His theory seems to have some serious legs under it.
I love it! Unfortunately no one hears this man. We hear the government cumming their pants about how we are going to destroy the planet in 20 years. I remember seeing movies in elementary school about climate change and our teachers talking about the world would be very different by 2020.....
@Andy L you obviously haven't watched all of these podcasts......and if you have, your liberal ears aren't listening. The problem is, to many people are focusing on "co2" and not enough on the bigger picture. Pay attention to real research, instead of being a sheep and worshipping al gore
My favorite thing about listening to Carlson is how he doesn't waste one single syllable. He can talk for 3 hours and still he has so much left unsaid. And you can really feel the entire time he is so desperate to just get the information out there because it's really important.
Joes able to articulate everything we want to ask about or know, while allowing the guests to speak freely... being a good listener is so hard to do... mad props to him and all his amazing guests
I just info-dumped two of these Carlson podcasts in a row and I feel like I just woke up from the matrix or something! Whew! I need to go play outside for awhile or something.
Wish Joe had more guests like him on. Recently it's been nothin but comedians and that's nice and all but it's not even comparable in entertainment value to the intellectual guests.
Yeah although I like to see a variation in the type of guests he has on, there have been too many comedians. There are good topics they discuss, but too much of it is about the life of a comedian. It gets repetitive.
I am absorbing this podcast for the 1st time in late 2023. All the way through I'm thinking, finally, someone is articulating what many of us have believed to be true all along, only to realize it is 8 years old! I can truthfully say, it is THE BEST podcast I've EVER experienced!! 👍🎯👊

@@nomnomyam9379 Even with the richat structure being a collapsed dome millions of years ago, it can still be a foundation left over from when the area was wiped out during a massive deluge. Also the Annunaki aka Anunna or Atlanteans were a vast civilization with the city of Poseidon as its capital. Who's to say that there wasn't multiple Atlantean societies ? The azores fits the slot but also I can definitely see another civilization using that Richat area before it was wiped out as seen from Satellite images of the flow coming from the Mediterranean or Atlantic. Joe please bring back Graham and Randall. It’s been a few years now since they were last on and I’m sure they’ve got loads of new evidence and information. These are my favourite podcasts ever. They have changed the way I think and opened me up to topics I didn’t know much about but now love.
I know right!! The hyawatha meteor impact in Greenland that's recently been found. That cataclysm is what knocked us off our 23° degrees from true North that all the old structures are all off by. Only just been clocked because its obviously covered in ice. We need him back on. But Graham's Ted talk was removed for being "misinformation" 😔 that impact was Exactly the same time that we had a global tools down mysterious disappearance 12000 years ago. Love this guy and Graham. Microcosms of macrocosms. There's a reason plato wouldn't consider taking a student that hadn't studied geometry first. The level at which we're lied to is unbelievable if you even told someone. "St Patrick removed the snakes from Ireland " there ARE no snakes the ground frost kills them. It meant people like me. Druids with the old information. Get rid of them. A snake is on the heads of pharaohs etc because it means illumination and knowledge. Because it sheds its skin drops what it doesn't need and becomes a better version of itself signifying illumination. The "freedom eagle" as America would tell you is the opposite. It symbolises dominance and complete control because nothing flies higher it sees everything. I’ve only been watching JRE for about 3 months now. The best and sadly most unique aspects of his interviews is he actually lets people complete their thoughts. He doesn’t force every answer to conform to quick 30 seconds sound bits. Most things cannot be adequately presented unless given enough time. Keep it up sir!

"There's a sucker born every minute" was a saying in the 19th century about P.T Barnum being able to trick people into believing in nonsensical things like the ‘Fiji mermaid,” “The Cardiff Giant” the “161 year old nursemaid” and many other hoaxes designed to earn an income from. The ability continues into the internet age and the fantastical stories & videos on RU-vid about “lost civilizations,” “unexplainable mysteries” and “ancient high technology" put out by profit seeking book authors like Graham Hancock, Brien Foerster, UnchartedX, Christopher Dunn, Randall Carlson and others like them are the proof.

@Nick Nack Up to the younger dryas boundary there are artifacts from the Clovis people in North America.above the YDB there has yet to be found a single artifact of the Clovis culture. All of the artifacts of the Clovis culture are pre 13000 years ago. Nice try with that straw man, The Clovis culture were hunter gatherers and didn't use pottery or create infrastructure.
@Nick Nack No you used it as a deliberate straw man. The oldest settlements in the world are in Syria and Turkey dating back at least 13000 years. The massive ice sheets covering the North american continent from Alaska down to the US prevented any more advanced civilisations from entering the America's. The Clovis peoples were already in North America and like later civilisations that made it to the continent they never advanced enough to construct anything unlike those found in the middle east. Like Gobekli Tepe in Turkey which was deliberately buried at the end of the last ice age.

Here’s an interesting tidbit.....the so called “Dark Ages” weren’t all that dark. Obviously “The Dark Ages” is the name that’s popularly applied to a given period of time but only in England. France and other Euro nations don’t have the “dark ages” as part of the history in their respective national languages. The Protestantism of England/Britain/UK was supported by the Crown and Protestantism supported the Kings claim to the Crown. One of the reasons English History refers to the era a little before the Protestant Reformation as the “Dark Ages” needs no explanation. His retelling of history doesn’t even scrape the surface. The greatest effect of the great Plague was that the standard of living improved for labourers when the supply of labour was greatly reduced. Wages went up and the old social order began to crumble.
@@gondolacrescent5 I'm Dutch and yes, i don't really know a accurate translated term for the dark ages. Yet also in Dutch history during this period the plague plays a large role. 1/3 of the people in Europe died. That's pretty dark. Also. You seem to mention some brittish events that happened. No problem with that. And sure, even this period has some good things. But Randal is talking about a whole different topic about this period.
