Right? And how Joe started getting annoyed because he didn’t understand the joke and then devolved into him making animal noises. Joe is a strait up tard
@@Human_Evolution- like he doesn’t? Dude, this is a criticism of Joe for a long time. He’s not funny, literal minded and doesn’t get jokes. He’s basic. I recommend Redbar’s coverage of this episode
Thank god norm never went on jre. Joes really really really dumb and not funny, it would be half Joe talking about ‘cancel culture’ and the other half with Joe asking where norm gets his ideas
@@famalam943Well, firstly, Joe isn't dumb. The probability of saying dumb things is high in equivalence with high output of recorded, off-the-cuff, long form conversations. This, especially when liquor is involved, etc. Secondly, cancel culture doesn't belong in scare quotes... unless one happens to be, in fact, a retard. Meet Too and wokeness are as lame as the WNBA and their ridiculous, three-colored ball. Lastly, "I also" am glad that Norm didn't go on Rogans show, except for different reasons.
Harland and Norm were actually very close friends back in the 90's! They're both canadians and came around the same time from Toronto being standup-comedians!!
My god this interview was hilarious but so irritating. I haven't watched Joe for a while but he didn't get anything and comes off like he's such an intellect about everything.
The fact that he knew that the bear attack will be a part of conversation, just to show that "wound" on his chest for a laugh is hilariously genius 😅😅😅
I met Harland in 2012. I was bald from chemo at the time. He did crowd work and joked about my condition. After the show i got in the VIP line and he greeted me by saying "Hey Caillou. Hope I didn't tickle your pickle too much my guy."
@@yehheapsmadaybut absolutely agree with you, but Harland is also a master of his craft and was rubbing shoulders with the likes of Norm MacDonald who was a Genius imho. Theo has his own charm and some of that is watching him process things in the moment. I look forward to seeing what he’ll be like in another 10 years.
To be fair, they’re different guys with different personalities, the difference makes it more funny. It’s not easy to have a conversation with a crazy mofo like harland 😂
I get pissed when I hear people chew but Harland is so fucking hilarious I don't mind. I love Rogan but he's got to get better with people like Harland, Theo and other hilarious goofballs.
I wouldn’t say Joe Rogan is the biggest podcast in the world anymore have you seen his numbers? That Spotify deal really took the wind out of the jre sails
@p.tendergrass what was the troll? I've seen this comment 1000 times and asked. No one will answer. Do you guys thinks Harland eating celery on mic and Terrance using a breath spray is some how related ? I'm so confused
The crunchiest food is dry nachos in my opinion. Did you know chimps can swim? That means they can swim onto your icedrift and pick off your friends one by one. They say there could be aliens in the arctic too. Chimps AND aliens? Wild.
This is putting it bluntly, but when Marty Short dies Harland will be the funniest man in the world, unless Harland dies first. Told you it was bluntly. Brava Canada.
I met Harland once at a bar in Miami. I got my pic with him and just after we took the pic, Harland acted like he was checking his pockets and said “Dude! My wallet?!”
joe desperately trying to have a real conversation and harland entirely incapable. it's what happens when an unstoppable force hits an immovable object. gold.
HOW is Joe missing every single joke?! Come on, "I'm going to have to start dating women who wipe," is one of the single most hilarious punchlines I've ever heard, and Joe doesn't flinch.
I enjoy harland but you have to be prepared for nonsense at any moment. It's an odd type of misdirection. Norm was a legitimate genius and anyone that worked with him knew it.
The call back to Terrance Howard having to detox every 20 minutes and talking about how everything is based off of vibrations then Harland breaks out the celery that he has to eat every 20 minutes because his tapeworm is attracted to the vibrations is absolute fucking GOLD 😂😂😂
I love how this is not only the most I’ve seen Joe lean on Jamie for comfort and stability in a podcast, but also the most I think I’ve ever heard Jamie laugh
Harland is a national treasure 😂 he comes on the most viewed show in the history of mankind and makes an absolute mockery of it 😂😂😂😂 NEVER CHANGE BIG DAWG 😂😂😂😂
Exactly. When Joe said that he'd heard English is the hardest language to learn Harland should have said what Norm said to Larry King about it..,"To me it's the easiest."
@@studleydewrite2942 Everyone says English is the most difficult language to learn, yet we always hear stories from people saying they learned it from watching TV/movies. Just look at kids in third world countries speaking it. Just a few days ago, a very fluent foreigner told me that’s how he learned English, along with studying grammar. He stated that he thinks it’s more difficult for an English speaker to learn Spanish rather than vice versa. 🤷🏻♂️
That reminds me of the movie Rocketman when they were on the moon and the captain was pinned down by the rover or whatever and Harlen goes "quick call me mommy" in order to gain the strength of a mother whos child is in danger 🤣🤣
Joe is a genuine human being trying to genuinely know him as a person and Harland is just putting on an act and making up bullshit. Nobody likes being treated like that.
Harland started off really shakey, I was worried he would keep up the goofy routine when Joe is acting serious and it would all go over his head. He got his rhythm though and turned out OK
@@miguelstein8431shakey?!?! You’re crazy. That’s what Harland does and it’s brilliant… he had to find the level because he was running circles around Joe. He still remained a step ahead of him the entire episode, even during the serious parts.
It IS off putting, a real comedian would not be ruining his guest's set ups and going along with the stories to support his schtick. Imagine how different this would be done by a real comedic host.
@BattleBladeWarrior yes! And playing off of it and trying to top it! Rogan couldn't seem less interested in having him on for anything but boring conversation. I really think he missed the mark on this one. At least I got to watch Harland troll him the entire time 😂
They've know each other for 30 years. He knows. That's why he's doing bits. He knows that Joe not getting it/getting upset about it is just as funny as any bit he does. He knew how Joe would react to the claw marks, for example.
@@puckloki873 Bro, nobody is writing a news story about misinfo from comedians making jokes about placenta. The only stories that were written about that stuff was when they were having serious conversations trying to make serious points.
Watch any Rogan podcast with a comedian that is actually funny and take a shot every time a joke goes over his head and he starts trying to explain why it's not accurate. Enjoy your coma.
I've heard that Harland was a close friend of Norm Macdonald and that they were often together. He reminds me a lot of the times when Norm was a guest on Conan, Letterman, and others.
Seems he's been injected into the algorithm lately, I've not heard of him until a couple months ago and he's quickly becoming one of my favorites. I keep hearing the same from other people, Idk how we all went so long without hearing about him.
I’m working a desk job and when harland showed the bear claw tattoo I was laughing so damn hard I had co workers come over to see wtf was wrong with me lmaoooo this is what I get for smoking before work and thinking it’d be okay to watch Harland 😂
I think Joe just really wanted to have a serious conversation not another silly podcast. I imagine Joe feels extremely bored having nonsense conversations for hours and really wants to have deep meaningful conversations
@@joseph7105 that's a really good point. I see too many people saying that Joe doesn't get the jokes and they go over his head and that is honestly true sometimes...but often he just doesn't find it funny. It's that simple. And Joe absolutely loves deep meaningful and fascinating conversations and learning new information and having his mind blown lol which is my favorite too but Joe is better at that and in those conversations than anything comedy related. That's Joe at his best in my humble opinion.
