Lmao bro I love that line because I use it too and it gives me fuel, when I feel like I’m done with my workout I tell myself “what would goggins do??” Fuck it one more hour of lifting or running
There's another interview where he retells that race and, in a similar way, tells he was with all his teammates, on an RV, with water and shit and meanwhile Goggins had a foldable chair and a bag of crackers.
He says it is still the hardest thing he has ever done in his life. Even harder than BUDS. This race is where he found there was way more to tap into than the 40% threshold where most of us stop and say were done. Meeting him is a bucket list item for me.
@@1bcordell He said the hardest thing he has ever done is the one mile track- 100 mile race in 24 hours or less to qualify for one of the hardest ultra-marathon races in the world. He was 230 pounds and had barely been running, only lifting. Made it to mile 70 and was peeing blood. He couldn’t move. Yet he somehow ran another 31 miles after that at a 12 min/mile pace.
I wonder how many people asked if he could come live with them after this, and if he'd accept them all, he is probably booked till he dies.. if he can die, that's the question..
I still can't tell if its incredibly motivating or terrifying that everytime I try to bust my ass and change myself, Goggins is somewhere in this world running down a bear screaming at it til it dies.
Nik I’m pretty sure the obese loser thing happened in his 20s. After he served his first term in the military. And he decided to get back into shape and join the SEALs
Saw Goggins running on the side of the road one time (true story) and I honked and waved at him. Commuted 30 minutes (25 miles) to buy some crap from Facebook marketplace, ate lunch after, started driving back and i hear faintly in the distance “hey you honkin motherf****!” and he gave me a wave back.
It's honestly a privilege to be companied by a person like that. Best believe that even for a short time like 1 month - he'd be your best memories in this life, and will create stories you'll tell your kids about. What a remarkable human being.
It's amazing how you sit with someone and talk for four hours, read a book about them and follow their social, then someone shows up and tells another hundred stories about them. Goggins is a rare breed.
@@josephinetracy1485 so what? thats the point. You gotta be in the mindset that you WANT the suffering. Jesus Christ didnt do all that he did thinking its gonna be a cakewalk.
Kudos to this guy for hanging in there for the entire 30 days. Most people would have quit or ... if Goggins doesn't let you quit ... made a run for it in the middle of the night.
If I was a wife, I would invite Goggins with open arms, he is a drill sergeant, there’s a huge benefit to have someone like that in your husbands life. Better then any life coach.
To be fair at the time he was super unprepared, hadnt trained really at all, nutrition was out of wack and did a hardcore leg workout the day before. He admits it was the supidest moment of his life. But also his greatest.
Ever so often I come back to this video to get a good laugh. Especially on the days where I need a pick me up. Love Goggins so much and he's an inspiration to me
I seriously would love to spend a month with Goggins. His motivational videos literally changed my life. I saw one of his videos 10 months ago and it changed me forever. 10 months ago I was 205 lbs, drinking alcohol every day, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and a complete mess. I’m 142 lbs today and had my physical last week and I’m literally the healthiest I have ever been.
@@Bone_Thug thats not goggins his fault thats your brothers responsiblily goggins never said that other people should do. Anyway its.also stupid that someone does that without supervision. #coldhardtruth
imagine death coming and the goggins saying: good that you showed up! we will run 10km to warm up and do 200 bars, and 150 push-ups. Death: understandable have a great day
David Goggins and Kobe Bryant would absolutely reach the outer reaches of space or something....their commitment and insane pushing beyond the limit mentality are insane 🤯 rip mamba
The market crash and high inflation had me really stressed out and worried about retirement. I've been in the red for a while now and although people say these crisis has it perks, I'm losing my mind but I get it,Investing is a long-term game, so I will focus on the long run.
My profits are very consistent no matter the market situation, I got into the market early 2019 and the constant downtrends and losses discouraged me so I sold off, got back in Dec 2020 this time with guidance from Trevor James Beckerman who was recommended by a popular economist on a subreddit, long story short, its been years now and l've gained good returns following guidance from my investment adviser.
I read Goggins' autobiography 'Can't Hurt Me'. Amazing what he put himself through. However, I see that level of self-punishment as something that has its roots in emotional trauma and disturbance; i.e. dealing with internal pain via physical pain. Most people who are not so afflicted will therefore not have the drive or even the inclination to do such things to themselves. And should be thankful for it.
I had that same trauma from how I grew up and in...I'm now older and recently got shot and my hand was hanging by just the meat and both wrist bones sticking out...bout bled out...made a homemade tourniquet and do what I always have. Look at it as a chance to work a body part that's not injured more... if I break my sternum and collar bone which I did once trying a crazy dive into a knee bar ...and figured well guess it's leg day at the Gym and time to work some extra knees an Thai kicks . It's a sickness. It literally used to be almost orgasmic(not tryin to be nasty just honest) when I would get hit fighting or training...especially if their were more than one person. I'm broke all to heck and hurt everywhere and I hear people pss an moan over the least little things...but it will break him down with age. Guaranteed. You can say he lived...but probably not too old. Jus sayin...been called crazy all my life...used to thrive on it. There is a balance in there somewhere between sanity and sickness that is healthy. Imo. Never thought of it really while younger but you hit on something there that I have really never gave much thought on. All it takes is one Military injury, or Auto wreck and it can change all that. Looking back God had to be by me through it all or I woulda died a hundred times at the least. Real talk. Anyone run your mouth if you want....I quit caring about that when I quit peeing the bed.
David Goggins can medically not have a heart attack...because not even his heart is dumb enough to attack David Goggins....also I heard he lost his virginity before his dad.
I did 40 pull-ups in 30 minutes once, most of them had to be negative versions. After that my forearms locked up for about a week. I walked around with my arms at 90 degree angle to my shoulders, looking like a T-Rex, because I literally could not stretch out my arms.
which is why he always talks about stretching as much as you can. if you did some very profound stretching and muscle relaxation after those 40 pullups, you'd have healed a lot faster
an ultra marathon runner runs 100 miles + EACH, a relay race of that is basically several hundred miles ran by a few people, this dude ran all those miles ALONE....
Soochi Gaming The race wasn't several hundred miles, it was the most miles you can get in 24 hours, the world record is 188 hours. He Ran like 101 miles. You misunderstand the relay, if there was a team of 5 people each person would run like 20-30 miles each not 100+ miles each.
I am extremely thankful of you sharing this experience through a book. It was hilarious and educational. Too this day, I use your and his lessons to maximize my life experiences.
I buyed his Book and I love it I love his mindset I know him since 2020 and he change my life now his Book is changing me and my life too I love this dude we Need more Champs no Warriors Like him thank god And god bless everyone who are Reading this , I Hope y‘all good ✝️🙏🏽❤️
Four miles every 4 hours for 48 hours (including a run at the 48th hour) is a total of 56 miles. International measurement standards should adopt a new unit called the "Goggins," a unit of measure equaling 56 miles, but that distance can only be achieved through physical effort - no vehicles of any kind. "How far did you hike the Appalachian Trail last month?" "Five and a half Goggins'." "Not too bad."
@@huzzzer6083 Actually, according to Goggins, he wasn't liked by the majority of Navy SEALS when he was in the teams. He said that they thought that he planned a heart surgery to avoid going on a Combat Deployment. He also said that the SEALS didn't like his over the top workouts. And he's right, Navy SEALS don't like him, as he's never on any SEALS Podcasts.
Same bro... i laughed and smiled in the middle of the night at 3am while me and my dog were chilling out side of the home. And my dog freaked out and staring at me.. And its like WTF DUDE!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU daddy And also my mum woke up cause of my laugh and she came to chacked me... 😡😡😡 ❤❤❤😂😂😂
@@rockyasima956 August 5th 2000...fractured my C-6/7 vertebrate. I workout, swim, strech, dont do drugs, smoke or drink. Im in good shape but my mind is not on his level. I believe his motivation and attitude, along with his brutal routine could absolutely make me walk again. He's a busy man but if I ever did get the chance to meet him I would definitely approach him and ask for any help/time he could give me.
