Last year, I struggled to do 20 push-ups at one time. Then I saw David Goggins on Joe Rogan. That dude surely inspired me, strengthening my mind. Now, I’m up to 85 push-ups. I'll be 60 years-old in July.
As a female, I thoroughly enjoy hearing two masculine men talking about another man they admire. It's a different universe. Nothing can replace a male role model, at any stage in a man's life. It's very reassuring to me that men have each other's backs and aren't ashamed of their drive to be strong.
Indeed. More solid male role models are beginning to appear on social media. At least, I've been finding more of them speaking out amid all the anti-masculine propaganda going about. I hope it's the same in the female arena. Hot babes encourages other hot babes to be hot babes and not be ashamed or brainwashed by the popular narrative and what not.
In an interview, Jocko said something along the lines of “The Navy SEALS train you to exhaustion, then start teaching you. When you’re fighting an enemy, after a while, they’re thinking they’re slowing us down. No, in fact we’re only getting stronger as the fight went on.” That could be what it is for Goggins. At the point where you think he’s about to give up, he goes harder than what he was before. Love that guy!
Hes in a race right now. Been running over 2 days straight. The MOAB 2019. Look it up, you can track it. I think hes got like 60 miles to go or something.
The man has a huge chip on his shoulder , after watching his first rogan pod cast it's clear he likes to punish himself because of the way he used to act and the way he grew up , also he took himself to near death just to complete 100 miles on a track how clever is that ? And to make things worse he joined the seal teams and they got pissed off at him because he was not bieng a team player he was trying to outdo his team . Having said that I have alot of respect for him but his brand of self mutilation is not a good thing to be influenced by .
Bullying is a pussy word for pussies. Try again son. He is digging deep and reminding himself hes already been thru hell and made it, thus giving him strength to push thru. Its a mental skill to override your bodys "oh shit" signals.
Damn, no matter how low you are in your life, when you start to listen to Goggins, his mindset and feel this energy... There's nothing you can't face. He's a pure inspiration
He just ran MOAB 240, he was in 2nd place and unfortunately ran 14 miles off track, at around mile 100. By the time he got back to where he left the track, he was in 78th place. By mile 200 he was back in 9th place. MACHINE. STAY HARD.
Bezos' Anti-Bullying Agency he hurt himself and had to go to the hospital, a few days later I saw on his Instagram he completed the rest of the 30 or so miles, and actually ran 50 total to make up for it. Dude is crazy..
@@shrayfitstayfit1202 thx for the inquiry 😅 I get it… empowerment is important but we also gotta be able to surrender to the moment. Struggle doesn’t always help
I saw the video where David talks about his dysfunctional upbringing. Statistics say he could have very well turned to drugs, alcohol, basically living life with no path but straight to jail or death. I have nothing but respect and definitely admire the man for using all the negative aspects of his life to fuel his desires and become the edge most people can't bring themselves to. I watch him talk and he has this persona that he's never satisfied with his accomplishments and very humble. True role model for all young and old.
Weak people hate this. They hate this because it exposes their failures as being their responsibility. People hate it when you tell them to "work harder" and will pull out all sorts of excuses and blame everything but themselves.
I was at work last night yelling that kept me going needless to say my boss avoided me most of the night then when he did talk to me he was nice to me and kept it short I was in goggins mode lol.
Goggins is a national treasure. As a wrestler and combat athlete nowhere near any top notch athlete like Goggins we used to say "embrace the suck". he truly does. He revels in it.
Cool part about that is, in real life, he had his squad in seal training raise their boat over their head multiple times to “take the souls” of their naval officers
Just found out I have a congenital condition, I've been through 3 heart surgeries in less than a year and my upper body is just, crippled, in comparison to how it performed before. I watch these videos to motivate me and remind me most of my limitations are self imposed. I'm 2 months out from my last one and getting it back more everyday. Hoping to start doing pushups and pullups again in the meet 4-6 weeks
David Goggins told Joe in one of his interviews that he was, "trying to get back in shape"... which is kinda like Jesus saying that he is, "trying to be a bit nicer to people".
20000 kids starve to death every 24hrs , All powerful Jesus could stop it with a shake of his finger, but does he ? Hell no , he’s a sick sadistic fuck . There ain’t nothing nice about Jesus.
I love Goggins, the way he turned himself inside and out in a huge transformation. Because of his words and his fight for confidence I been pushing myself more in the gym 💪 long live Goggins 🙏 🙌
I discovered David Goggins a couple of weeks ago. What an absolute legend that has the mental strength like no one else. The drive I'm seeking for is thanks to him. It's about making the most out of everything I have been given and seeking to give everything I do 100%. Not the 40% most of us give before we "give" up or give less.
Saw this after my trail run this morning, but heard Goggins in my head when I hurt my ankle half way through yelling to "Stay hard!" and by god I didn't stop. My ankle felt better after the run than it did halfway through. Crazy, but inspirational. Next time I hear him I'm sure I'll hear "Who's gonna carry the boats?!?""
@@hiranom20 in an interview Goggins said he doesn't like to use the word motivation, he prefers "drive" which seems more sustainable where he sees motivation as something temporary
@Dylan N Shit! Brother. My heart goes out to you. Emotional Traumas can fuck you up. I have had my share. You'll beat this phase and you'll get out hard. All the good luck and most importantly, STAY MOTHERFUCKING HARD, BROTHER!
I watched this video too many times. It just gives me goosebumps when Goggins yells "They don't know me son". I can see his demons then, it gets me so inspired.
I listened to this video of goggins on repeat while I was sprinting a mile as fast as I could. Let's just say I beat my time by a lot and I ended up passing out and threw up profusely. I was the proudest I'd ever been of myself that day
@@miamiheatbaby87 Same here. He's on some primal shit, that goes beyond words. That why it hits so hard. Every time I see that part, it's like the first time I ever saw it. Fucking INTENSE! ✊🏿🔥
I thought I was the only one, Joe was laughing and I was back here tearing up about the struggle I can see him go through... He’s literally a godsend this man 💔 I’m so happy for him and where he’s at now, if he doesn’t go to heaven he’s the type of guy that has a good time in hell
This Goggins is crazy AF. Could you imagine having him as a drill instructor? *forgets to make the bed one morning* *Goggins silently sneaks up behind you, taps you on the shoulder, gives you that psycho killer look* "WHO'S GOING TO CARRY THE BOATS?!"
If they both went on a distance run together, both would have the mindset of "I'm winning this.." Goggins comes out on top though no doubt. He's just a different beast.
I love anything to do with David Goggins. He is a beast and I actually used to be like in his Goggins mode before but didn’t know how to maintain my body so I had to take time to recover what I lost and now have to build up to that point again
Wtf, that scene when he starts to yell they don't know me, son, gathered up some water in my eyes. Didn't cry. Just, it was really powerful to watch. I mean, if he can translate this kind of energy through a media, the I surely believe that it would be life changing expierence to train with him.
David Goggins is the REAL DEAL. The dude is so inspirational and motivational and a total SAVAGE. He’s so DRIVEN, that when I feel soft I put him on and I get HARD. My man GOGGINS IS THE TRUTH. OneLove to DAVID GOGGINS AND A MILLION THANK YOUS.
I just watched a David Goggins motivational video and did 5 laps around my apartment complex watching these types of videos made me more aware of my insecurities and everything I’ve been through and I’m tired of settling from doing nothing important that’s going to change my life these videos are helping me a lot that’s all I want to say you can do it too go out there and who cares what you think and other people think and just do it.
I listened to David goggins book can’t hurt me in January this year 2 chapters in I bought some running shoes and went from not being able to run 1 mile to doing half marathons every Sunday and totalling 30 miles a week this time next year I’ll be doing ultras. And every time I feel like quitting I listen to the book again
When I see that footage and hear others’ stories about him, I am reminded of his book and am in awe of how spectacular it truly is for what he has come out of and how he has attained a level of mental fortitude that is beyond just being tough. He literally explores his mind deeper than most philosophers and theorists. He is fleshing out a ginormous experience that most of us will never actually go, because it is through a fearful galaxy of unknown potential. He is such a broken man that lives for the next wave.
I watched goggins, read cams book then listened to rich roll as I ran 14k a day for 14 days. Got told it was to much, listened took a couple rest days and which turned into rest weeks. Now I’m struggling to even get out of bed, on 5 psych meds, out of work, no girl, depressed as fuck, on verge of giving up, but back here wondering why I stopped. Been searching for my inner goggins on RU-vid 😂 He ain’t here son he’s outside hundred miles away doing pull ups in the winter rain! Thanks for the reminder I need to go out and find him 👍
Was riding an electric bike with some friends in red rock canyon (outside Vegas) and saw goggins running. It was cold and he had no shirt on while we were all bundled up. I felt ashamed
I have just recently been introduced to David Goggins... One of the single most impressive human being I have ever seen. He embodies what a human is truly capable of when he sets his mind with such a singular focus that he allows nothing to push him off course toward his goal. He is AWESOME. Thank you for being an incredible inspiration to Joe Rogan, Cameron Hanes, myself and so many others of us out here in the real world. STAY HARD!
Among the many inspirational quotes that Goggins has uttered, and there are many, this one quote got me “up and running” “I did it because I wanted to change myself”. Goggins
It is said to "Never meet your heroes." I get it. If there is one person who is close to being a hero or simply an inspiration it would be Goggins. His words, book and what he lives by changed my life, completely. My daily mantra is "You don't know me, son."
Absolutely! The podcast interviews in the middle of the stories are an incredible bonus that you don’t get when reading. And besides, you can listen while you train…!!
@@charles.ehenry9883 Some if it is stories I have heard on those broadcasts, but certainly not all. I am very glad I bought the audiobook because he is an incredible story teller. Also, he set it up as a series of challenges at the end of each chapter. I don’t know if they are in the book, but it gave me impetus to make some changes in my attitude and adjust my framework for thinking about how much I can actually do (even at 52 😂). By the way, I am also a big fan of reading and the concept of audiobooks is quite challenging for me to embrace as a psychologist and teacher. However, in this case I am glad I went down that path.
