4chan has done some of the most hilarious things I’ve ever heard in the past 10 years. They have literally trolled the media and the media bit hard. It’s beautiful.
They made up the pee tape. They made it all up specifically to mess with some specific news guy. Spies and Senators and the highest law enforcement in the US read some anons bullshit. It's wrapped up in the Trump wiretap FISA drama. Everyone involved is so humiliated they might destroy the country trying to cover it up. This is real life. This is American politics now. This will always go down in history as one of the greatest trolls ever committed. They beat Shia in multiple rounds of global “capture the flag.” The fact that he tried to move the flag only made it a game to all of us.

They used the time stamp, and then the stars alignment. Tracked that off flight patterns of flights at that time, with planes you could see in the video. As complex as Joe made it out to be, these trolls went even deeper into the complexity to get that flag. Hilariously well done.
Jokes aside, that really showed how capable people on the spectrum can be. In a limited way at least. Not to say EVERYBODY on 4chan is autistic. Just the overwhelming majority.

they also found the flag by seeing planes fly overhead, and looked at all the flights in eastern USA that day and found that it was in tennessee. then they did the stars and the truck with the horn.

He forgot to mention that one of the ways 'the hacker known as 4chan' triangulated the flag's location was the croaking of frogs which just makes the whole thing so much more glorious since that makes it a message from Kek.

This is my memory of the events (may not be completely accurate) First he had the livestream going in a city that people could visit and say he will not divide us and stuff like that. 4chan found it and showed up. Then they put a gate around it and had a guard that would only allow a few people infront of the livestream at a time. That of course though is pretty ridiculous so they tried something else. Next he put a flag up ontop of some building somewhere and setup a livestream. They got onto the roof of the building and stole the flag. Then he put a livestream of the flag that only showed the flag and the sky. They used a combination of watching the sun, listening to the fact that it was near some body of water, and a picture of a waitress in a small town on her private Instagram that proved that Shia was in the area at the time. They then drove around honking in the estimated area until they could hear themselves on the livestream. Next they put the flag in a new location without sound and with a guard. 4chan once again used the sun and planes that flew by to estimate where the flag was, figured out a time where there was no guard, and stole the flag. Next the flag went up in a random empty room in a random house without sound. They used the light from the window off screen to figure out what timezone the house was at, looked at the people Shia follows to find a friend that lived in that time zone, and went to the house at night and flashed their lights into the window to verify the house. Besides ordering some pizzas and sending them to that house (I think) that's all that happened. I may have the exact methods that were used to locate the flag for each scenario but they were all used at some point.

The thing is, "4chan took it down" is rarely accurate. 4chan posts are all deleted usually within hours of posting. As soon as the thread stops being active, it goes 404. It's not like social media where a thread can last forever unless the OP deletes or it gets reported. Yeah, sometimes mods will delete a post due to things like CP or illegal activity but every post gets shit canned relatively quick

The movement to take this flag down has to be one of the most funny, clever things I've ever seen. I don't even care about the message, it's just fucking funny.
Never forget that Shia was also a teenage Disney channel star. Nearly every kid that goes with that company was probably abused in some way. Look at the history of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and many others who went crazy. The others like Justin Timberlake, the woman who played Shia's sister, who seem normal probably were protected by someone who cared about them more than they cared about money.
Actually, the air traffic patterns were used in the taking down of this flag, together with the sound of frogs, the stars, twitter etc. The location of the flag in Liverpool was known. The issue was to get it, because it was actually guarded. 4Chan went Mission Impossible on it, with groups making plans, groups trolling Shia who was reading the posts on 4chan etc. However, there was also a flag inside a house, which 4chan found within 4 hours due to sunset time and research on real estate.
