One of the most insane knockouts I’ve seen in UFC, especially at the final second of the bell. Also loved the showing of respect from these guys during the fight. Lots of class and a good show!
That is the most impressive knockout in mma history. The difficulty of the technique plus the fact that it came at 4:59 of the final round in a fight where he more than likely needed a finish to win. I think the only way to top it would be to do something very similar in a title fight.
Yair went full Rick Grimes in this bitch. Zombie should retire, maybe one more fight. He's been extremely inactive (for various reasons obviously) and although he has talent, you could see in that fight he just has too many things to work on and it took him a while just to get his timing straight.

Shows that it's never over till it's over. Perfectly timed Elbow, not so much the actual hit, it's more his elbow countered zombies momentum and twisted his neck. Feels bad but perfectly timed, just like McGregor on Aldo's chin, using Aldo's own momentum moving in against him and sending his chin in the opposite direction. Shows how much power momentum moving in creates and how dangerous it is to strafe in.
I was waiting on this reaction. I knew Joe Rogan would love this. Insane knockout by Yair Rodriguez. Insane fight all around. Both men left it all in the cage. Better yet, they both had mad respect for each other. I especially loved when they said fuck it and stopped fighting those 2 times so they could catch their breath and shake hands. The ref said stop shaking hands and fight and they were both like, "Fuck you. We're tired." 😂😂😂 Fight of the year AND knockout of the year. Amazing job! Rodriguez showed so many wrinkles in his game in this fight....outstanding performance and a devastating yet surprising last sec K.O never seen that elbow finish a fight..probably because the timing and the angle have to be exact. Awesome stuff.
